Other than the kind server, it was just a terrible experience. Apparently, the management is dealing with a total employee walkout. As a result, they are serving a very limited menu. We both ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The meat was cold, the BBQ sauce was ice cold, and the cole slaw was soup. We should have stuck to the food trucks. Just awful. Stay away. read more

Note: there are two listings for "Echo Charlie's", one just adds "Bayside Restaurant". I've reported to Yelp to merge the two. My review is the same for both. We were renting a cabin in the area and wanted a good lunch after checking out. We considered a quick trip over to Patti's, a place I've always found extremely over-rated, but since they were still in tent only dining while the restaurant is rebuilt we decided to heed advice from a friend who recommended this little place. I'm glad we did. I'm not sure what's with the mediocre reviews. Maybe we were just lucky or maybe they've improved as most reviews are older. But, we stopped in for lunch and were quickly seated, fairly quickly served, and everything we ate was great. The highlight of the meal was probably the appetizers--the crab cakes and sauce are really good but the "salt wing" take the cake. Season salt caked and grilled to perfection they were seriously among the top 5 wing orders I've ever had anywhere. The entrees were all good too, I really dug the catfish sandwich and sides. I didn't have room for dessert but one of our friends did and she liked the chocolate pie. Great views, good prices, friendly service. I'll be back when/if in the area again. read more

My family has been coming to Lake Barkley for almost 15 years. We always have a huge party of around 12-15 people. Echo Charlie's has always been able to accommodate us all. Service is sometimes slow, but understandable during Memorial Day weekend. Food is average. We enjoy their breakfast the most. read more

I regrettably have to give Echo Charlie's a bad rating. I am a local & a boater and this restaurant could be killing it if it was managed right. The food has been going downhill for several years now but the catfish is still delicious if you could get it in a timely manner. We avoid eating here because it takes way to long to get food, especially at dinnertime. Unfortunately many of our friends feel the same way. Some out of town friends waited 3 hours for 3 appetizers & 1 salad. That is unacceptable! From what I have observed it is a kitchen issue. When we ate lunch there earlier this summer the waitress staff was busy so our drinks sat at the bar. The bartender could have run the drinks but instead sat there with no customers at the bar. Customers notice every thing. Currently we all go to HuB's every week. Please take note from HuB's & improve this place because all of us locals would frequent it often if the service & food were much better. read more

Was not impressed. The catfish was mostly breading. The fries were not cooked crisp. They also uncharged us for sweet potato fries without mentioning there was an up charge. When I asked because it seemed they were included in the dinner we were told they are always an up charge no matter what. We didn't see it on the menu but can't say for sure it wasn't there. Service was horrible. The waitress seemed to wait everyone but us and she seemed to only be able to handle one item request at a time. I tried to help them out by asking if they did military discount since it was obvious we weren't pleased and they don't do that either. read more

This is a screenshot of your yelp profile at this current moment, which says that you're open until 9pm. But you're not. I know that because we just drove 5 miles out of our way, and when we arrived, we discovered that you are "closed for the season". This might seem like a trivial gripe, but it's not. It's the entire point of the Yelp platform. It runs on trust, and when that trust is violated, it not only reflects poorly on your business, but it wastes people's time and degrades the value of this service. If you don't want to maintain your Yelp profile, that's totally fine. Just take it down. You don't deserve to attract the business (or potential business) of people who are traveling through your town if you can't manage to log into your profile and change the hours when necessary. I've done it. It's easy and it takes two minutes. Unless you forget your password. Then it takes 3. If you read this review and think to yourself, wow, I would never want that person as a customer at my business anyway, then you should also take your restaurant off Yelp, because I am just like everyone else who uses it. There are plenty of places for us to go. Do us a favor and take yourself off the list of options! read more

Great location on the marina. Nice casual atmosphere. Great for breakfast. Had a really good tenderloin for dinner!

The view of the lake is amazing!! You could choose to sit inside or outside. Their menu includes catfish, crab cakes, chicken, sandwiches, hush puppies, fries, green bean fries, etc. The waitress was friendly and nice. But the food was so-so. Lots of items were fried for too long. And you're mainly paying for the view, not the food. A dinner for 3 with a couple of drinks came out to $75 with tips. read more

We ordered and it took over an hour to get our food. We arrived there on a boat and the trip home was the pits because of the delay in getting our food. My husband ordered an appetizer order of chicken wings and they were gross. Like a pigeon wing. The wings had broken wings that we should have complained about but it was so late we decided to forget it. One and done!!!! read more

Located at the Marina. Enjoyed eating outdoors and watched the sunset. Would give the food 3 stars and the view was worth the 4 stars. The Cajun catfish was done very well and was quite tasty. Been going here for years, understandably Covid has made things difficult, but please update your social media platforms on your operating hours, including at least leave a message on your business phone recording, it doesn't take that long at all to update. A 30 minute boat ride with family to eat and the restaurant was closed along with the gas pumps. read more

We went in and seated ourselves for late lunch. Took forever to get waited on. Maybe 50 to 60 percent of seats were taken. It seemed that we were ignored. Some of the customers seemed to be taken care of quit well. Took forever to get food. The food was ok but way overpriced. The place was a bit run down. Was sweating inside setting there. Took forever to pay. Not first class restaurant for the price. Took family here. Was an embarrassment for what it cost vs what we got. Too much cost for lunch for a family. Decent food, stick to the burgers and salads. Service is usually very slow, young girls on summer break. They need a flyswatter in this place. A nice marina. Very nice to eat on the water, fun atmosphere with a general store in front. Sometimes I wish the Barkley Marinas would experiment with the menu or hire somebody with some imagination, but the clientele is usually just looking for calories. Excellent service even on this busy Labor Day weekend. Every thing neat and clean. I had crab cakes with their vinegar slaw on the side. Perfect! My hubby had the beef nachos.
