Slow service, rather pricey for what you're ordering. Breakfast is decent. I had a club sandwich for lunch and the meat was spoiled.

We had been here over the summer, and stopped by with our daughter to share the experience. Service is always good, and some of the food is great. It seemed like the 1 inch porkchop was not as good as the gigantic one I had last time, but I coykd be crazy. My husband woukd say I was crazy, so there is that. My daughter loved her fish. The mashed potatoes with white gravy were so good, I ate those first. Hubby asked for a garden salad with salmon. He got a spinach salad with salmon. Our server brought it out and offered to have it remade, but the salad looked wonderful and he really enjoyed it. Kudos to the chef for standing his ground haha. We were too full for dessert. Highly recommend, for the experience and the cute period clothing. Get reservations though! We have to wait over an hour on our first visit. We made reservations the 2nd time and we're seated within 10 minutes.

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a cozy, charming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The décor is whimsical yet inviting, and it perfectly sets the tone for the unforgettable meal that follows. The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish is crafted with care, bursting with flavor, and served with the kind of presentation that shows pride and heart. Whether it's their home-style classics or signature specialties, you can taste the freshness and attention to detail in every bite. The service is equally impressive. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure your visit is perfect. They're quick with a smile, helpful with recommendations, and make you feel like a valued guest rather than just another table. Patty's Settlement Restaurant doesn't just serve a meal; it delivers an experience. It's the kind of place where memories are made--perfect for a special night out, a family gathering, or simply treating yourself to something wonderful. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out. Highly recommended!

We've tried the steaks (tender and flavorful), sandwiches (yum! -- the cheesesteak seems packed with flavor and the grilled chicken is tender and juicy), fish and chips (not over-cooked -- lightly battered), and salads (fresh). Save -- if you can -- room for dessert! Everything is great, the portions are generous, and the price is reasonable (a rare find these days). Also, Josh (chef and co-owner) is a deep-fry master. His waffle fries, mozzarella sticks, and mushrooms are over-the-top. Josh sometimes steps out of the kitchen to greet customers and make sure everything is OK. The rest of the staff follow his lead for friendly service. If you get the chance, check out the adjacent, beautiful wine tasting room for Lake Barkley Winery. In addition to tastings from proprietor and builder, Bill, you can pick up some great local wines or some California varieties. Not only did Bill build the tasting room by hand (along with the entire building), he's the vintner who created the local wines from grapes he grew nearby. Get some of his local wine before he runs out of it. The California wines are from a vineyard his relative owns. This really is a family business! The tasting room is gorgeous and could be a great place to rent out for an elegant event. I hear JJ's and Lake Barkley are close to opening a banquet facility upstairs -- can't wait to see that!

They do have transient slips available but we normally put in transient where cable, supplies and more amenities were available. For more info check out their website below. What you will find here is indeed fuel at their easily accessible fuel dock, as mentioned above there's transient docking available as well as annual slip rentals with free pump-outs. Their restaurant is Hu-B's and they serve breakfast, lunch & dinner. there's a breakfast buffet Saturdays & Sundays from 8am-11am May through September, while their daily lunch & dinner menu is pretty extensive with lots of tasty burgers, chicken, steak, bbq & grilled cheese sandwiches & wraps. You can also get baskets of shrimp, fish & a BLT. There are lots of fun starters, side and a few salads so there's a number of nice choices. My fave is actually cranberry chicken salad but the burger is really good too. Of course, you will learn when traversing the TN River from the Ohio all the way to Mobile, AL & the Gulf of Mexico that you will run into dry counties, especially in KY & MS and this little spot is DRY. So if you're like most prepared sailors you will be just fine because your coolers & fridges are perpetually stocked with the appropriate libations :-) Bottom line: This is a okay top for food & fuel but not a lot of other services. It's a bit shallow but if I can get my Hunter 310 in there with a 4.5' draft you should be fine. Note the marina is currently closed and scheduled to reopen April 2nd 2020.
