Located a short distance off the interstate, GPS will take you right to the door. There is a sign out front in the parking lot. There are parking spaces along the side of the building as well as other spaces further away. I did not notice any handicapped spaces but the lot is paved so travel is easy. Walking in, the counter is on the left. There are several stools along the counter as well as opposite facing the side window. We were greeted immediately by the friendly staff. The menu is on the wall behind counter. It is pretty simple and covers all the basic diner items. We placed our order from the counter seats and waited no more than 10 minutes for the food to arrive. The waitress placed a checkerboard pattern wax paper down on the counter which was a nice touch, even though the counter was clean when we sat down. My dining partner and I both ordered a cheeseburger. I asked for fries and my dining partner wanted onion rings. Both meals filled the plate they were served on. The burgers had a nice char and were slightly greasy, as any good diner burger should be. The lettuce, etc. were all fresh and the bun was soft. The fries were cooked properly with a nice crunch outside and soft inside. The onion rings were very good, being nicely crunchy on the outside with soft onion inside. These were about the perfect definition of a good onion ring. We wound up spending $22.94 for lunch for two, but that also included a cheesecake dessert I forgot to take a photo of. I can tell you it was very good and made for a great ending to a really good meal. I would assume their breakfast menu items are just as good as their burgers, so would have no hesitation trying those as well if I am passing through in the morning. read more

This is the classic "hole in the wall" restaurant. Excellent food and steller service. Kinds of reminds you of a 1950-60s dinner type. This place has had rebuild due to a fire. Everything from Burgers to pancake with bacon and eggs. Great place in small town KY. read more

I was in there Friday April 25, 2025 there was a young black female who was just sitting there on her phone yelling and cussing. Then I went in Saturday April 26, 2025 and there was yelling and cussing coming from the short older lady that was working the grill. Anytime someone would come in she would get a mean look on her face and mumble under her breath at the grill and throw items and slam freezer doors. It's not a good look especially if it's someone's first time there. I've tried to call up there and explain my complaint before posting it online but they won't even answer the phone, it just kept ringing the whole time and I called multiple times. I wasn't going to leave a bad review over the lady on her phone because it seemed important but when it's coming from more than one staff member. Something must be said. The food was alright but it would've been a way better experience if I hadn't had to listen to the staff yelling and cussing the whole time. read more

By far the best burger in Cadiz, Ky. I get mine with cheese, grilled onion, mustard and pickle. Most of the time and make it a double. And they make some of the best chili I have ever had in my life. Service is fast, but not much room to eat there. It can get pretty crowded and loud around lunch time. Smoking is also allowed but it is not over powering. read more

I absolutely love Ferrell's snappy service. Back in high school, my girlfriend at the time and her parents would take us out to the area to visit their extended family. My first introduction to Ferrell's was in 2013. It was right on our way to Land Between the Lakes, and was always a must whenever we made the trip out that way. Great prices, excellent service and the best quick burgers and fries. There's nothing much to it, but it's one of a kind to Hopkinsville/Cadiz, especially if you've been down that way. I love Ferrell's . they cook everything on the grill and it is cooked while you wait. Retro in and out. everyone sits at the counter together and it has a friendly atmosphere . Hamburgers, breakfast and chili are all good . You may have to wait if they are having a rush but it is a relaxing place to sit and listen . Great place to people watch. I always chit chat with the cooks when they aren't busy and they fill me in on the town gossip. read more

Clean, fast, delicious, and friendly. I had burger with an egg on top. I couldn't ask for more. The restaurant looks like something from the 50's but its from 1929. Awesome little find. Did I mention clean? The cook was wearing gloves and practicing good food prep hygiene. This is a perfect example how good food is more filling than lots of food, not that the burgers are small. Very good hamburger place but also very small. There are about 15 stools and thats it. The hamburgers are on the smaller side but have great flavor. Not a lot of options so you pretty much go to get either a hamburger or cheeseburger. The only real complaint is that KY allows smoking in restaurants and I think the day I was here we were the only ones who didn't smoke. It wasn't too big of an issue but just be aware of that if you go. If that's an issue, then just call in your order for take out. They do a lot of take out from what I could tell. Before I go much further, I should clarify that I haven't had the chance to visit in a few years, so this review could well be fueled in part by nostalgia. Nevertheless, Ferrell's has always kept it simple, good, and greasy. Hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chili and fries. What more could a person want? The atmosphere isn't nouveau retro; it's frozen in time. A cozy, old-fashioned, no-nonsense small diner with a counter and a neon clock. You can sit and build up an appetite as you watch the burgers being cooked in front of you. I have many fond memories of grabbing a greasy bag of delicious Ferrell's burgers on the way to my great-aunt and great-uncle's house, and we could never resist the urge to unwrap a burger or two on the 5-minute drive to their place because the food smelled soooo good. And it'd be a shame to let the food get cold, right? Right? Peppery, beefy goodness. I'd give it 5 stars, but those people without an iron constitution (i.e., stomach of steel) might find themselves a bit queasy after chowing down. Moderation is key, my friends. What a disappointment! The restaurant very small and filled with cigarette smokers and overflowing ashtrays at every seat. Ugh!!! Totally lost our appetites. We were going to walk out before ordering, but the waitress caught us before we had a chance to escape out the door, so we ordered a couple chili dogs to go. The grill is right out by the food counter, so we were able to watch the food being prepared. NOT impressed with cook's food handling skills and cleanliness. We took our food to go and threw it away outside the door of a restaurant down the road. I would not recommend Ferrells. read more

A friend had good memories of this place so we stopped by while on a road trip. The pro - cheap as heck. The cons - small menu, cleanliness and taste. Since you can see everything they do, we noticed the bare hands handling many things that didn't mix, including bare hands into a big pickle jar. I was actually too grossed out to order what I wanted (a grilled cheese) and just had fries. My colleagues had burgers, which were greasy and not good, according to them. Ok, so the rating is based on the unique local history value. I'm a sucker for hole-in-the-wall places. We are Coke loyalists & they accommodated with a $.75 vending machine. The food was VERY basic. Counter service for about 12 so I wouldn't go if you have a large group. Fun experience. read more

Grew up eating at Ferrell's. First time at Cadiz location. Was impressed with service and the French Fries. The Hopkinsville location only has chips! We always stop when we are close enough. Going to take a sack back home to Alabama as well! read more
