This is…read morenot the place to go if you are looking for mood lighting, artisanal coasters, or a bartender who calls you "sir" unironically. And honestly it works. The locals greeted me like I'd just come back from a long trip instead of walking in for the first time. Either they're incredibly friendly or they thought I needed supervision. Either way, solid welcome. Service was minimal in the best possible way. No hovering, life story, or unnecessary check-ins. Just quick, friendly, and efficient, like they understood I came to eat, not start a long term relationship. Now here's where things take a turn: the food has no business being this good. I ordered the Southside Supreme Pizza, and I'm still trying to figure out how a place that looks like it could host a darts league championship is casually putting out world class pizza. I've had pizza from all over the world and this place can hold its own. Thin, perfectly crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and enough cheese to make you question your priorities but not your choices. It's like the pizza didn't get the memo about where it was being served. So yeah, I give it 5 stars. Come for the dive bar charm, stay because the food quietly outperforms half of the "fancy" places that make you wait 45 minutes for a table and then serve you a disappointment on a wooden board. I'll definitely be back. Next time I might even try to look like I belong.

We had been here over the summer, and stopped by with our daughter to share the experience. Service is always good, and some of the food is great. It seemed like the 1 inch porkchop was not as good as the gigantic one I had last time, but I coykd be crazy. My husband woukd say I was crazy, so there is that. My daughter loved her fish. The mashed potatoes with white gravy were so good, I ate those first. Hubby asked for a garden salad with salmon. He got a spinach salad with salmon. Our server brought it out and offered to have it remade, but the salad looked wonderful and he really enjoyed it. Kudos to the chef for standing his ground haha. We were too full for dessert. Highly recommend, for the experience and the cute period clothing. Get reservations though! We have to wait over an hour on our first visit. We made reservations the 2nd time and we're seated within 10 minutes.

I decided to take my wife to dinner and man they reviewers were NOT wrong. This place is off the hook good home cooked food. I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes with red gravy, green beans and a yeast roll and everything was delicious! The meatloaf was cut it with a fork tender and hot. The mashed potatoes were homemade and the gravy ... Oh my goodness... it was so good. Anyway, we will be back for breakfast and dinner for sure! You gotta try this place !!!

Look for the Harbor Freight sign and turn in...you WON'T be sorry! This is a "Meat & 3" like they USED to be! The first time I ate here was a couple of weeks ago (May 2025) on a Sunday. There were several people in the place and I'm kind of deaf, so when the lady said they had "greens" I figured turnip greens...I didn't hear her say "Collard Greens"...just greens...but I'll come back to that. I had Chicken fried steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, those greens, a yeast roll, and a bottle of Pepsi. All of their drinks are in bottles in a cooler and you pick what you want. They have a steam table line and you pick what you want and they plate it up on a tray in a styrofoam 3-compartment plate, and then you pay and pick your own seat. And then you eat...or TRY to eat all of it! The plate looked like a plate at a family reunion for somebody that didn't plan to go back for seconds...I mean it looked like 2nds were already on the plate! You know what I mean! She gave me TWO large pieces of steak, a huge mound of potatoes, and those greens....and enough gravy! Wasn't stingy with the gravy! That little styrofoam plate was real glad it had a plastic tray under it! No way the plate would have held up to this meal without it! The steak was tender enough that I didn't need a knife! Perfectly seasoned, just about the best I've ever had in ANY restaurant! The mashed potatoes were homemade with a few tiny lumps just like they're supposed to be when they DIDN'T come out of a box! Yummy!! Now about those Collard greens: I saved this part because......I DON'T LIKE COLLARD GREENS! I never have EVER! I like turnip, mustard, and even kale greens...but I've NEVER eaten ANY collard greens that tasted good enough to take a 2nd bite...EVER! That has all changed now... I figured that I'd paid for them so might as well give 'em a taste before I threw them out like I always do..... But I didn't throw them out! The collard greens were delicious! Silky, seasoned perfectly, a little smoked meat flavor it there, and a touch of hot pepper. Not enough to burn...just enough to know it's there and take the bitter edge off of the greens. AMAZING!! I would have ordered 2nds of the greens if I'd had an inch of room left to eat them! Find this place... Pray they have the collard greens the day you're eating... You'll thank me later!

Another option was the soup and salad bar. White bean soup was like wallpaper paste. Broccoli soup was just as pasty but green. Neither had any flavor. Salad bar had bare minimals. Soup bowls were either a tiny butter dish or a ramekin. When I asked for a soup bowl the waitress pointed to my 2 choices. We shared a club sandwich which was ok. Went for breakfast the next day because the nearest town is 20 minutes away. Breakfast buffet was poor so we ordered off the menu. My traditional breakfast was fair.
