Pretty good place to have breakfast. Parking is either in front on busy Greenleaf or in back with limited parking spots for busy plaza. Coffee is mild with descent flavor. Menudo is good but not worth coming for alone. Staff is friendly, service is prompt. Bathroom are close to tables on one side of restaurant. You can sit away or on the other side and not notice bathrooms. Food is not great but it's not bad. I give four stars because the price is family friendly, accommodates large crowds, clean and service is good. read more

My brother talked real big about this place so I had to try it out and I didn't think it was amazing as he said. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing and need to try something else next time. On this visit I had two eggs with chile verde. I have to say the meat was a little dry and was really not impressed. My mom had their menudo and she really enjoyed it but kept competing it a menudo from a different location that she really enjoys. Maybe I should have tried that instead of the chile verde. My wife had a club sandwich that she enjoyed. Device was a little slow, if we needed something we had to flag someone dawn. They were either not fully staffed or just too busy for the staff they did have. I might give this place another try but who knows when. You should try it, you might have something different and really enjoy it. read more

We visited this restaurant for the first time today. The food was decent. I had the huevos with chilaquiles. The eggs, beans and rice were good as well as the pork with salsa verde. The chilaquiles were not so good a bit on the hard side. As if the tortilla was either old or not well prepared. I also ordered a side of pancakes and those were lousy. They were a bit burnt so that killed my appetite for pancakes so we left most of them on the plate. Now here is my major problem with this establishment. If there is something I frown on its terrible service. The employees and the owner were celebrating a birthday out in front of all of us customers. That's okay I have no problem with that I think we were all willing to wait for them to sing happy birthday to this employee. I felt as if that was nice of them to do for that waitress. My issue arose when they decided to all take pictures with the B Day waitress. Leading this dumb ass move was the dumb ass owner with his camera. We waited for about 10 to 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us but no one came because they were all taking pictures and slicing the pieces of cake amongst themselves. The only person on the floor near our table was a bus boy. So we actually got up and took napkins and utensils from other tables. We also asked for our check and that was also delayed. Any how, we don't mind employees celebrating we feel everyone deserves a quick break to enjoy a piece of cake and for someone to sing happy birthday to you if your into that but the owner must realize that we are customers that are paying not only for good food but for excellent service. This restaurant has 4 stars I wonder why? But then again most people put up with service like this on a daily basis and maybe that's why this owner is so complacent when it comes to caring about his customers. Whenever I experience bad service I don't really blame the employees I blame the management and the ownership of the establishment. It blows my mind that this restaurant has a high rating. I have eaten there at least a dozen times with a group who meets there and each time I leave there sick. Terrible food. I mean,how do you mess up breakfast? I think the problem is they use cheap ingredients. That's the only way to justify the reasonable priced menu. Great cafe for breakfast. The service is the fastest i've ever experienced. I ordered two eggs (over medium), hash browns, sausage & bacon, and pancakes. (I think it is called a Mucho Gusto.) The order arrived in under five minutes. Everything was cooked perfectly and with coffee was under nine dollars. Excellent deal! Tip: I showed up about 7:10 a.m. and the place started filling up. Absolutely the best menudo around! So flavorful. We got there pretty early and the place was empty. It quickly filled up in the next 20-30min. My friend got the Chile relleno omelette and it was amazing also- not greasy or mushy. Their rice was nice and fluffy. Coffee was good and prices were very reasonable. I will be coming back for more! Fantastic from start to finish! My partner & I were looking for a breakfast place on Easter & found Greenleaf Cafe open, and we were delightfully surprised. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door, service was fast and friendly, the food was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. We both had the Huevos Rancheros with Carne Asada and corn tortillas. The eggs were evenly cooked, the red sauce was flavorful, not too spicy or too bland, the beans and rice were savory and the tortillas were lightly toasted but still fluffy. The atmosphere was festive, warm & clean, the service was fast and friendly, we were checked on 4 times after our order - highly recommend! We will definitely be back here! :-) read more

I've been coming here for years , usually easy basic Mexican food place. I like it because they offer a tiny cup of menudo. This cold rainy morning a tiny cup of menudo seemed good. Was here a year or so ago and I vaguely remembered that it took awhile to get our food but it was a good experience otherwise...well, not today. Pros: We went during the brunch hour (12ish) and had to wait a few minutes to be seated which is not bad. Our coffee was brought to us right away and hot which was great too! My husband ordered bacon and eggs (simple) and I ordered a chile relleno omelette. His bacon and eggs were fine and my relleno omelette was hot (temp.), delicious, and not spicy (it is not your typical stuffed chile relleno but shreds of green chili within the omelette with cheese). Cons: Service was lousy. We had to ask for coffee three times, creamer, napkins, tortillas, and ketchup because no one ever came over to ask even though we were seated at a table right in middle of the cafe and right in front of the counter. We waited over thirty minutes to receive our food. No apologies for the longer than normal wait. He finally came over to ask if all was okay right when he was bringing the bill!!! This is a Sunday favorite. It's next door to my church. The service is good, it you come during the week there not wait open tables, but on Sunday there is a wait. The food is ok, most of it is nothing spectacular. But the service is pretty bad, I know it's a holiday but the place is not even close to being packed and the service was subpar. Ordering drinks and food went smoothly, but I asked for sugar for my tea and was never giving any. After seeing my waitress doing everything but get me sugar for 10 minutes I got up and grabbed some off a table that was unoccupied. After dropping off our food our waitress avoided our table like the plague. I watched her seat a few tables then she went to and from the kitchen until I realized she was handing out bills to all her tables which was the last and only time she went up to our table after she dropped off our food. read more

A spot where many of the senior locals come. They do have tasty food, tastes homecooked. The portions are just right and the customer service is impeccable. Clean and cozy inside.
