How are pool looked 2 days after Michael came vs. (next picture) how it looked a few days later after my husband took over.

We were very disappointed on Memorial Day we were unable to use our own pool. When we were quoted for pool services we were under the assumption that this price would cover our pool being consistently clean and useable. After hiring Michael, our pool turned green (and unusable!) a minimum of 5 times. And on top of this, my husband with absolutely NO pool experience AT ALL (hence why we hired someone!) was able to clear up our pool in less than a week to the best it has looked since we moved in! Just with a little googling. I have attached 2 pictures. The first picture of a very gross green pool with black mold in several places, is how our pool looked on Memorial Day just TWO days after Michael came. The second picture is what are pool looked like 6 days later (and still does!) after my husband just took it over himself. Michael was nice and I really do hate leaving negative reviews on small businesses, but we are EXTREMELY disappointed and would not recommend.

Do not hire this guy! Michael from Green to Clean is a thief. We paid him $60 to clean our pool the first time which included cleaning the filters. Then he came back and cleaned it a second time and said his monthly fee would be $100. We gave him our credit card info and he actually charged $250 and $150. When my husband contacted him he only refunded $100 and never showed up again...wouldnt return calls or texts. We found a new pool service and when they removed the filters they had never even been cleaned by Michael in the first place. read more

Let me start by saying that Michael was great! I did my research here on Yelp about different swimming pool services and I'm so glad I picked him. He was very prompt answering my messages back and forth, he gave me a very decent estimate for a pool cleaning. Just what I needed, we set up a time for literally the next day, Michael was there at the time we discussed. Very profesional and friendly guy, he was great recommending what I should and shouldn't do to my pool. I have to say that I read some not too good reviews here on yelp, but I always like to give people the chance to prove themselves, he totally did! Totally worth it! You shouldn't always believe all bad reviews, I do know this by experience!! Thanks again Michael for your help today! Cheers! read more

This guy Michael is a joke, We had been told by several women friends he was great. Turns out he sucks. Lets start from the beginning, he gets hired and he never contacts us to inform us when he is going to start #1. So I call him, of course I get his cell voicemail, I explain we are a new client and we also have a hot tub and it appears to have some issues could he give us a call. Crickets, he never calls. A week goes by so I call him again this time its Monday Labor Day, He answers his phone, I again explain who I am and give him the whole story I had left a week before on his voicemail. He proceeds to tell me about his yellow notepad with over 200 customers and that is fiance feels like he should take the day off and that he had planned on getting back to all of his new accounts the next day. The next day comes, Tuesday, Michael doesn't show up, however he does show up the next day on Wednesday and we are not home and we can tell he has been there because the pool is clean its looks great. So we know he is capable of doing his job correctly. But here comes the bummer, He leaves the pool net on our grass, a empty bottle of chlorine on our pool deck, the timer door open (so our kids can stick there fingers in and get shocked, Rookie move at best) I say nothing. The following week comes and my wife is out and about, she returns home to the jackass parked in our driveway (sitting in his car BTW) so my wife waits and waits for him to move. He doesn't move, so she pulls up behind him, parks and walks up to his vehicle. He looks up and says excuse me do I know you. She says no but this is my house why are you in my driveway. (I don't know about you but from where I'm sitting any moron knows to NEVER park in a customers driveway) BS customary pleasantries are exchanged and he goes on about his way. I get home that night and my wife shares this with me. So I go out to the pool, again with the pool net & timer door (this time he sets the timer to the wrong time of day, obviously doesn't know how to use an industry standard Intermatic timer that hasn't change design in 40 years), but this time our Chlorine dispenser is on the pool deck. Week 3: I come home the pool has 3 yellow spots growing on, another chlorine bottle on the deck, the thermometer on the grass, the chlorine dispenser on the deck, the pool net on the grass and again with timer door open. So I decide to call this NO UNDERSTAND OF DOING A JOB COMPLETE HALF WIT!!!!!! I present Michael with only the timer door and Chlorine dispenser portion of our experience before he interrupts and he says, "Let me ask you a question, how does your pool look?", at this point I'm beyond irritated. I respond with I don't give a shit how f-cking clean it is if you can't complete the job!!! He says no one talks to me like that I will not be back to your home and hangs up on me. Ironically, the very next day while we are all away from the house the pool sweep stops working...........A bit odd for my way of thinking. So the moral of story is, (especially if you read all of these Yelp reviews) there seems to be a trend with Ol Michael. If your not a Female he treats you like Crap, But if you wear a Bra, Boy Oh Boy he is The Hero. As Far as I'm concern as far as customer service goes this jackass is a ZERO!!!!!!! read more

So very disappointed. My advice would be not to prepay. He still owes me two visits, but won't return my calls or texts anymore. It's now been over a month so I don't think he will fulfill his obligation. He said he came over but since the gate was locked and the cameras say otherwise. He then changed his statement to he "thought" he stopped by but he had so many pools maybe he didn't. Said he would come by later that week but never did. He would come by at random times and dates (one week on a Monday at 1pm, next week on a Thursday at 5pm) but I would need to call and ask if he was stopping by as a reminder. We have since started maintaining our own pool and it's looking better than ever. read more

Wonderful service. Very professional and friendly. Also very cost-effective. Really, could not ask for more. Michael is friendly and professional. I requested him to take a look at my pool pump and he came by and pointed out the problem almost immediately, made the necessary adjustments and did not even charge me! I have since then employed his services to perform regular, weekly pool maintenance for me which he does like clockwork. One less thing for me to worry about - a job well done, every time. read more

Stay away from this guy... Paid in advance for a month... He showed up 3 times and then stopped coming while I was on vacation. I came back to a green pool. When/if you speak to him, he sounds great but he is not a real company and he is simply winging it. Read the other bad reviews! read more

After speaking to several pool guys to come maintain our pool, Michael seemed the most knowledgeable on the phone, so we chose him. However, since we chose him, he has yet to get back to me about starting services. I waited about a week and decided to text him and asked when he was thinking of coming to our house. No response. Unreliable. And now after reading other reviews, Im glad he didn't show. I called a another person and they will be coming out. read more

I would NOT recommend This service. We used this company service for a little over a year. At first things were just fine. Then this summer our pool started to have Algae issues. I kept asking Michael why and there was excuse after excuse as to why. Finally when I kept pressing he just up and quit. This happened about the same time he disappeared for two weeks as other reviews claim which is not a coincidence as to why we had problems. After he quit he promised to refund our money for the rest or the month. He never did despite numerous requests. I don't think he knows what he is doing. I've taken over doing the chemicals in our pool and no more issues. Please save your money and don't use. read more

My experience with Michael was excellent he knew what he was doing and price is very reasonable. He did such a great job I want to have him take care of my pool on an ongoing basis. We contacted this company to keep up on an already clean pool. We came to an agreement with the owner and paid him 100 dollars for a month. I think he came out twice but might have been three times. He used our pool tools to do his job and then left the pool skimmer with leaves and debris for me to clean out. I see that he does have a Yelp discount on here but I really don't think it is even worth the discounted rate. He said he would scrub the tile line, empty all the baskets and check the chemical levels. Not one time did he stay long enough to do any of those things. This would have been a very good account and did not require a lot of catching up on the pool as it was in great shape. We also had problems figuring out which day he was going to show up, our gate is locked except for when we know people will be coming by. I hope his other clients have a better encounter than we did. read more

Seemed nice initial. However he is very hard to get in touch with, only sends you text, doesn't pick up the phone to call. He also claims he goes to your pool and does the service but once you arrive back home it looks as if nothing was done. Yes he's cheaper than a few however I'd rather pay $20 more for good service that is actually done. My pool literally turns green 2 days after the service. I hope this helps. read more

WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I called Mike because my pool was turning green way to often. When Mike first started off he explained how everything works and what he would do on a weekly basis to keep the pool clean, so I hired him. After 2 months Mike stopped coming to my house and I noticed my pool was turning green again so I tried calling him and texting him but no answer. As a business owner I think that's very unprofessional so STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!! read more

Prepaid and doesn't show up. My cameras record all 24/7 and he says he was here even though the pool is turning green with no chemicals in it and filthy now. Didn't show up for 3 weeks out of 6. Texted me when I questioned him and said he did show up but recording don't lie. I gave him a chance even though I read the marginal reviews, but I was burned. Not a professional. read more

We were having a really hard time finding someone who serviced our area to come out and do an initial cleaning/explain the pool system to us on our new house (most weren't willing to come out at all, and those who were gave extremely high quotes). Mike with Green to Clean came out on what was actually supposed to be his day off, explained everything clearly, did the initial cleaning, and explained what we could expect over the next day or two while the chemicals did their work. He told us the ins and outs of our existing system and I always felt that the information was honest, he wasn't trying to sell us on anything unnecessary. Also he was very friendly and easy to talk to, which made the whole thing easy. Ultimately his fee was extremely reasonable and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to friends and family. read more

After calling several people and places (that not even exist anymore) I found this cool guy who actually came to my house and did a free estimate for an above ground pool. He saved me a lot of money thanks to his honesty about doing our own cleaning since it is an easy pool to main by ourselves. He actually did a quick clean to my pool without any charge. Seriously amazing!!!! Not only were they able to come out quickly but the pool was seriously green and I needed it to look good for I'm a Realtor and wanted the house to show well before putting it on the market. When he was done the pool looked 100 percent better and by the next day it was Chrystal blue. Reasonable and Reliable.... I highly recommend this company. read more

I called Green to Clean on Presidents' Day a major holiday for most where most people don't work. Wasn't feeling confident if anyone could make it out so when it rang and went to voicemail I just figured I was right. I was off ... so must be everyone else. Mind you it was at 8am on a Monday and within an hour I received a call from the owner Michael and he said he would be by. He came and schooled me on my newly acquired in ground pool and showed me the correct ways to clean it and operate it. He cleaned it quickly and efficiently at a very reasonable price. My wife and I were happy with his services and definitely are thinking about having him do our monthly service. He is a very personable guy and easy to talk too and will answer any questions you might have. Highly recommend. read more

Monday I see a little green in the pool. I say I'll do "something" Friday on my day off to look at this. Wednesday it's greeeen. I call Green to Clean and Michael answers the phone. He is working and he can come by after that. He arrives in an hour and after looking at the pool says its not that bad. It's the worst Iv'e had to deal with this pool. There was things that I didn't know I should be doing, and things I was doing wrong. I'm very happy that he has the knowledge of all things about pools and explains these things at every turn. I really, really wanted to like this guy. He is, however, VERY unreliable. He lied to me about the number of times he came to clean my pool and still charged me for the times he didn't care enough to show up. When asked about his not being there, he insisted he was. My pool has algae growing it, though, and my security cameras tell the truth. How fortunate for him that he doesn't need to retain his clients. He certainly lost me. read more

I typically don't do reviews but I don't want anyone else to lose their money and experience what I've been through. I'm so frustrated I don't even know where to begin. So let me just start by saying please read all of the reviews before hiring him. I never knew when he was coming, he would tell me he was going to be here one day and then lie and say he was here but no one was home. He billed me for services he never preformed and now won't respond to my emails. DO NOT PREPAY...YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY!!! Am so disappointed. read more

While I cant speak for his actual services, I can speak for his customer service! We were having trouble with our pool filter. We set up an appointment with him and unfortunately because we were out of his service area he wasn't able to come out but he did spend a few minutes on the phone with my husband going over ways to fix the problem and talked him through it. He even offered for my husband to FaceTime or take pictures while attempting to work on the problem and talk him through it! read more

do not call this person!we payed him in full and he came mabe 2 weeks and didn't clean anything most of the time he made excuses didn't answer phone calls agter we realized he wasn't doing what we played him for. my boyfriend and i ended up spending the same amount we played him and we ended cleaning it up ourselves. read more

This guy is a complete JOKE!!! He doesn't know what is he doing. He does NOT deserve even one star. I found him through google. After I called him, left a voicemail he returned my call from a different phone number. He promised that he will take care of the pool and he is very professional and after 30 minuets he arrived to my residency. Right away he cleaned the filter and charged me $100. I asked him to send me the contract agreement and the date and time of the week he shows up for the service... since this guy doesn't make any commitment he said let me check my schedule then I will let you what day of the week would be able to do the service. But he wants his clients to pay him in advance. Every week I had to contact him to ask him if he showed up because the pool never looked clean since I hired him. One day I was home when he came then knocked the door to informed me he completed the weekly service but after he left I checked the pool, the walls was greenish and a lot twigs and leaves were in the pool. Sorry I texted him if he did brush and remove the leaves.. he said yes he did but the good news our pool has enough chemicals. I also confirmed with him that next week he needs to clean and brush the walls. But next week he never showed up. My pool completely turned green. After several attempts to reach him he said I didn't pay him advance for the second month so he is not coming. He still owes me two weeks from the first month. After I fired him he texted me that he fired me...LOL. I DO NOT recommend him to anyone. DO NOT LET HIM TAKE YOUR GOOD MONEY AND RUIN YOUR POOL. read more

He offered a nice discount due to my being disabled on a fixed income. He and his sons Memo jr and Maciel did a wonderful job. My pool is immaculate. During the service, Memo Jr found two areas that were leaking water. I was having to fill the pool almost every other day. It turns out the automatic water fill had roots in it, indicating a broken pipe. I was able to put a plug in that outlet. Also found a leak in the pool where the tile is, and I was able to repair it myself. The pump has been running for two days now and I havent lost a drop. Memo even said one of my fence posts was broken and would fail at any time, and told me how to do a quick fix. I can recommend Memo and sons 110%.

There were issues getting the waiver paperwork sent over, and it took longer than expected to receive the final invoice. I was also told I would receive a referral for a repair contractor but never heard back on that front. Overall, they do great work and the first impression was excellent--if the back-office follow-through were a bit faster, it would be a five-star experience!

After finally being able to get an appointment, we are told that they don't have the parts and they'll have to come back. They say their office will schedule an appointment when the parts come in. Did we get a call? No. We had to call multiple times for follow up. Eventually we asked about getting an upgraded pool heater... Everything was great while we were showing interest in spending money. Make a call and someone was dispatched to the house to make sure we had everything taken care of. Kevin was knowledgeable and obviously had a lot of experience. Lance helped a few times and even though he wasn't a great communicator, we figured as long as the work was done right, everything was fine. Last summer we spent thousands of dollars getting a new heater installed. It's the largest available because of the size of our pool (just for a cost estimate to keep in mind). This summer we go to turn on the heater and it won't turn on. We called KLM and after being asked if we already have a regular service with them and saying we didn't, we are told we would get a call back since it was the weekend... did we get a callback? No. Tuesday we call and are again told we would get a callback. Did we? Of course not. After finally making 5 calls during the week we are out on hold to speak to someone. So basically customer service is at its best as long as you're going to be spending money. If you aren't a regular customer and don't show interest in upgrading pool equipment, you're most likely not going to get the customer service you deserve. I put a lot of faith in Kevin because he seemed to be a no-nonsense person who would treat customers how he would expect to be treated if he had issues with his own equipment. I can't help but feel completely duped. If Lance comes out and tells you that they'll call back for a follow up, THEY WONT. You have to call this company multiple times to even get acknowledged that you need help. Unfortunately for the residents in this area, there aren't too many pool companies to choose from. I'm curious how they even got such a high review on yelp in the first place. Needless to say we won't be wasting anymore calls for their "service".

Sure enough, after some treatment, the pool finally started to get back into shape and finally looked as good as new (see before and after picts). Green to Clean wasn't the only reason that our HOA picked Balance Pool Care. After interviewing a few pool vendors, it was clear that Alex knew more then the others and noticed details that need to be addressed that the others didn't catch. Commercial pricing is a challenge, but Alex is taking good care of our pool and making sure that everything is in proper working order. I'm especially satisfied with the Pool Reports after each visit and Alex's efforts to keep us informed of the work that he's doing. Alex is honest, fair, and friendly yet professional. I was one of his first customers. Over the two years the service went down, lots of missed service days(more than what was in the contract), pool not maintained as well as before, and very short visits caught on my ring camera of 3-5 min service calls. I didn't want service in the winter or wanted reduced service to save money, but he told me his service was based on year round. He said I needed to keep my service the same in the winter if I wanted to stay in contract. So I paid him all winter long, and then when I started complaining about missed service days and quality of care, he dropped me without any notice. He didn't even finish the service month that I had already paid him for. I asked for a refund of the winter months and got no response. If I could do 0 or negative stars I would.

A HUGE thank you to Victor and his excellent team over at Prime Pool Service!! (This is a long…read morereview, but they certainly earned their five stars -- here's why!) We got our pool installed a few years ago. There is one caveat to our situation -- we live in a rural area and we are on a well. Being on a well has come with its own set of challenges like keeping the metal low, our waters reaction to chlorine etc. We thought we were in good hands with our original service provider, but we were NOT. They started to neglect our pool and skip important appointments. They had us buying and adding in chemicals ourselves. We expressed our concerns and showed them photos of the changes in the water. They did nothing!! Once he finally made his way out to the job site, the damage was done. Our old provider flat out refused to help fix the situation. He insisted the swamp was unavoidable because we have 'bad water'. He left us with the before picture you see in that photo. It was a DISASTER. We were left with a filthy pool and nowhere to turn. A friend had excellent things to say about Prime Pool Service and said we should give them a try. I called Victor and talked to him on the phone. Right away I could tell how invested he was in his jobs and caring for his customers. He made it a point to come out to us quickly. He got to work and set us up with a plan to get our pool back. He got the pool pumped and started cleaning it out and had it sparkling like new in no time. He even went the extra mile and did an additional treatment just to make sure that our pool had zero stains. Our pool truly looks like the first time we filled it and we could not be more grateful!! Just look at those photos! Since then, Victor has maintained the pool wonderfully. He is on top of everything, he checks in with us often. He's always monitoring our water and making sure to adjust where necessary. He truly cares about what he is doing and making sure that his clients can enjoy their investment. OMG after over a year of fighting a green pool and two other businesses utterly failing us we are so lucky to have found Michael. I hired him 2.5 weeks before I was hosting a surprise party. He said he could get it done but would be out of town for a week so a delayed start... I was worried, but agreed. I pestered him as the party date neared because the pool wasn't clearing up as quickly I imagined it would. He told me to not worry it would be ready and the day before it was!!! The two other companies said chemicals don't work in the winter, can't clear it up, lots of goofy lip service. Plus it was no longer winter so why still green. One company said my pool chemistry was right and so I took a pix and sent it to him saying really how is it right and also green. Michael assured me his area of expertise was turning green pools to beautiful clear pools. I am beyond happy with the outcome.
