Cory and Family are excellent at any of your pool needs. I had started to get black algae and let me tell you this stuff is not easy to remedy just look at videos on YouTube. I tried everything and nothing would fully eradicate. I would stop an area and it would just move and grow somewhere else. Well I got sick of fighting and so I called the Pool Butler aka Cory he came over right away and we went through the chemicals and he said I had a couple options and we started with option one. If you do go with them, I'd recommend keeping an eye out to make sure that they're actually doing what you're paying them to do. Had them for 4 weeks for "full service." No call/no show on week 3. Was promised they'd definitely show up and "fix it" next week. They came to the house, dumped some acid and chlorine in the pool and swept the tops of the steps (not the sides, walls, nor bottom of pool as promised.) They did get a water gun from the skimmer basket, which they used to spray each other. Left the bugs and leaves, in there though. Our old pool man let out pool got to green. Cory and his team are first class and I'm very skeptical, but in 4 day we went from green to blue. Spoke to 3 pool companies and all said I had to pour out my pool. Lazy lol. Cory came out and inspected the pool and not only committed to getting the pool blue in 4 days but if it wasnt blue in 4 days he would also reduce the price to empty and clean down by $100. If you want unreliable and dishonest service, this is your place. I wish we read the reviews from the Better Business Bureau as well as some of the other reviews before we hired them. They are very unreliable - you cannot count on them to provide the service you paid for. However, you can count on them to send you their bill. Aside from the lack of pool service, we waited over 3 months for our pool sweep to be fixed by them - we paid upfront. We ended up buying a new pool sweep. They asked if we wanted a refund which we stated yes. Unfortunately, we assumed he would do the right thing by returning our money. Guess what? No return of our money. When my wife and I first moved into our new house in 2021, we found out the pool butler was the previous owner's pool service provider. When i contacted Cory, he was very friendly and seemed like a good guy. The first week after we 'signed up' we were already missed service because they did not add us to their schedule. Which, I get it...it can happen. Week 2 and 3 we did not get serviced, only to find out they had to let an employee go, so they were short staffed. Inconvenient, but okay..I understand that can happen. A few months went by, with no 'real' issues. Maybe 1 or 2 missed weeks here and there, but other than that, things seemed okay. April of '22, I tried emailing the business email about a few issues with my pool with no response..so I texted asking about it, and he gave a 'Who's this?' response. So he obviously doesn't keep customer contact info in his phone (seems kinda weird, but whatever). I had an issue with the pool sweeper not working, I contacted them multiple times through text and email, even in person about it, with no real solution/fix done after many months. I first had a crack in the diaphragm cover, so I got a new one of those, installed it myself, and it was still not working right. I ended up finding out on my own that the hose had a small hole in it, to which I repaired on my own. If they would have actually looked at it, they probably would have figured it out, but it is what it is. I reached out also in June and August and got more 'Who's this?' responses, and had to re-introduce myself. There is a more professional way to say 'I don't regularly keep contact information of customers in my phone, may I ask who this is?', instead of just a 'Who's This?' In August 2022, somehow my account was put on 'inactive' in their system so they missed 2-3 weeks back to back, and only found out about it because I had to reach out to them to see why nobody had come to service our pool in weeks. Cory informed me I would not be charged for the month, due to the issue, but I still received a bill. I texted him about it, got no response. I emailed them about it, no response. The following 4 months I followed up through email and got no response, and the issue was never fixed. In December, we found a new company to go through, after giving The Pool Butler over 2 years of chances. I am seeing many reviewers saying the same things as I experienced, so I am confident it was not just us facing these issues with them. read more

Let's start with you know Yelp requires you to put, minimum ONE STAR . SAVE YOUR MONEY, because he will willingly steal it from you. I'm all about supporting a good business but I'm also about principal. When a business does you wrong, or a business owner, does you wrong and wants to do NOTHING to fix it, that's a problem. Cory is the business owner of The Pool Butler he has something called the "gift of gab" If you've ever spoke to him, you will know what I mean. He's also someone that will assure you you're in good hands and he's going to take care of your pool- BEWARE, This is NOT the case. People can talk about it OR be about it, he definitely talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk. When you sign a contract that offers a series of services and those services are not fulfilled and Cory knows that, BUT still collects full payment and not being forthcoming, he's stealing your money. Which is what he did to me. I trusted that Cory (owner) would do what he was supposed to while taking care of my pool while I minding my business and let him do his thing. Instead because I didn't babysit, he did nothing but pour some chlorine in. He was in and out of my backyard and sometimes less than five minutes, his norm was 3-5 min. Your pool service provider should not be there for only five minutes. His communication was horrible, I constantly had to ask him when he was coming, IF he was coming, where the chemicals balanced? He would give you the yeah, I got this, I'll be there, everything's fine, you're in good hands, your test strips must be faulty BS when questioned. He definitely doesn't like to be questioned. He has this copy and paste auto reply that I'm sure he gives everybody, "chemicals look good, you're good to go" Cory never balanced the chemistry of my Pool! After going to test my water myself after paying for a year for The Pool Butler to "professionally" take care of it, that knowingly and consciously neglected my pool, I came to find out he was doing the absolute bare minimum or whatever is a less than that, My fear of course. This review can be extremely long because I have plenty to say but I want people to know if he's your pool person, you're probably being ripped off and you don't even know it. I can only imagine the amount of people that he's taking money from, people are having trust in him, how he sleeps at night? I'm not sure. But at the same time that's business for some people if you can F customers over, F them over. I was extremely patient and kind and professionally asked him for a refund to make it correct because he knows he didn't do right and he chose to say nothing, accept he was surprised- surprised he got caught of course. It costed me a lot of money to correct what he didn't do for my Pool. I'd like to save someone the headache and the thousands of dollars if I can. Whatever you do, Save your money, be on top of any person that comes to your house to take care of your pool, know what's going on in your pool, get educated because, unfortunately Cory is untrustworthy. It's his family business which is more disturbing that, he's OK with providing mediocre service and not abiding by his own contract but collecting all the funds as if he is.
