Street is closed to allow for dining outside, which was wonderful on a beautiful morning. We came for brunch. Generally, with mask on, order at the counter. Then you're are given a number and mah choose to sit in the courtyard or street. The servers bring your food to your selected table. My nieces ordered lattes while I ordered the Hawaiian bliss iced tea as our drinks. Our brunch included: morning oatmeal, chicken pesto panini, vegan BLT sandwich and vegan crepe. The food is rated 9/10. My niece didn't care for the kale salad because the dressing had such a kick of hot spice. I still ate my salad despite that fact. The oatmeal was different but good. The chicken pesto was excellent. I enjoyed my sandwich as well as the vegan crepe. The berry filling was just the right sweetness. The restaurant name is as our experience: bliss. read more

As much as i would love to give this place a higher rating I simply can't. The pros are its location and the menu variety. If you're looking for a cruelty free meal mixed with other options for people who do eat meat theres a large variety. I particularly love this part of Fullerton, there are so many shops you could get lost in for hours. When we arrived prior to even ordering the place was a mess. There was multiple dirty tables that looked like they were there for a while and the staff was extremely unhelpful. I asked a couple of questions about the breakfast options and was given very cold unenthusiastic answers. I finally decided on the Veggie egg bakes, served with potatoes and toast. To drink I ordered the coconut creme tea on ice. Hands down the tea was delicious, it was so flavorful with its hints of coconut mixed with rich black tea. We choose to sit outside in the back patio, it seemed perfect the weather could not have been better. However waiting for over 30 minutes for a meal seemed a bit much and to top it off we were waiting by dirty tables. When our meals finally arrived they were cold. Soo... that sucked. The egg bites weren't anything special, they were 2 over medium eggs with two pieces of dried up unfavorful zucchini plopped in the middle of them. The potatoes mirrored the unflavorful zucchini. I'm a sucker for a yummy breakfast as it is my favorite meal of the day! Loved the outdoor seating area! Allows us to bring our dog and enjoy the rays of sunshine. We ordered 2 breakfast burritos: one meat and one veggie, and a meat breakfast sandwich. My husband ordered their drip coffee which allows free refill. I ordered a hazelnut latte. All very yummy! The eggs in the burritos and sandwich were the perfect amount of fluff and flavor! The prices are super reasonable- the burritos were $10.25 each and the sandwich was $8. So I ended up here because I needed to go to the DMV a mile away. They've blocked off part of the street to accommodate outdoor dining. Despite it being a weekday morning the ladies running the shop seemed very busy, so I can only imagine what it's like on a weekend. I had to call out to them in the kitchen to get their attention after waiting at the counter a couple minutes. I ordered the vegetarian ovenlet and vanilla latte. The ovenlet was a cross between an omelet and a baked custard which was a really nice texture. It definitely needed some salt though. The rosemary potatoes on the side were delicious as was the buttery toast. Vanilla latte was good too. Only negative was the long wait time to get my food (nearly 30 minutes!). Cute little cafe tucked between a garden like atmosphere with lots of outdoor seating. I assumed this was a vegan/vegetarian place since it's categorized as such on Yelp; it is not. However, they do have some vegan/vegetarian options. What we ordered: 1) Vegan burger: I don't have high expectations on plant-based burgers nor do I even like regular burgers, but this one was super dry and not much to it. The bun and the patty might as well been the same thing. 2) Avo-Campania: Portobello and avocado panini. I liked this one, but for $10 I think I can make it better myself. Kale salad that came with it was good. 3) Rosemary potatoes: Nothing spectacular, didn't really taste the rosemary. It was just some plain 'ol potatoes if you're into that. It was recommended by the cafe, but I didn't like it at all. 4) Coffee: Served piping hot, just the way I like it. They feature a variety of coffee roasters. Went here on a Sunday and the wait was decent. The staff is extremely considerate and quick to let us know any updates. Despite the popular remarks about the breakfast burritos, I decided to try the curried chickpea sandwich instead. The bread was marble rye - which tasted a bit dry. I personally did not think the bread and curry meshed well together, however, you can definitely taste the quality of every ingredient between the bread. The curry had a kick of spice in it as well as the salad slice. Overall, I would say Green Bliss is quite comparable to many other surrounding restaurants in the area. The outdoor seating is in a beautiful area of the plaza which is shared with other restaurants. Their efforts to promote a more "green" menu is successful as they incorporated many healthy aspects to the menu items. Most the items on the menu are earthy and it almost seems like they are farm fresh! Hubby and I were looking for a breakfast place and we decided to give this spot a try. Very happy we did. Parking is kind of crazy. There is (complimentary) valet that can be validated otherwise it's a $6 charge OR there's a parking structure on Harbor and Chapman and you can take a short walk over to this place. As for food, for the price you pay and the amount you get, it was definitely worth it. We each ordered an Ovenlet ($11). I got the Country and hubby got the GB Garden Fresh. The only difference between the 2 was the bacon and sausage in the Country Ovenlet. They both were topped with avocado, a side of potatoes and toast. Everything was very flavorful and delicious. I should have ordered a water with my meal as I was shoving my face with food and did not want to wash it down with my hazelnut latte, plus it was too hot for that lol the service here was pretty standard, and the bussers were nice and prompt. Definitely IG-worthy! -Food: my mom, sister, and myself probably would not come back solely for the food, unfortunately!! For food, got the (1) Green Bliss Burrito (standard, good but so simple it's wildly overpriced), (2) the Avo-Campania Panini (tasty and crunchy with a full-bodied pesto base, I think I'd reorder this one), and (3) the Vegan Burger (I feel like it's a bit harsh but the first thing that comes to mind when wanting to describe this burger was 'ew'... lol and we are not picky eaters!!! Vegan burgers, to me, should be a tasty alternative to a standard burger but the fact that Green Bliss uses quinoa/lentil as the patty was not a hit for us. It tasted like a starchy carb overload. I'd compare it to eating a ball of rice in between 2 dry buns (very bland and dense). My mom was very disappointed bc she's a huge fan of tasting creative meat alternatives. We also got (4) the Vegan Crepe that was good and creamy with a homemade jam that I think someone with a sweet tooth may appreciate:) For drinks, we got the (1) Kale Ginger smoothie (you can really taste the ginger which was nice but overall quite watery), (2) the Blended Matcha Latte (too sweet for my taste but the matcha was strong and left a nice after taste. I'd be down to give it another shot if I remember to ask for less/no sweetener, and (3) the hot vanilla latte (meh). -Service: The barista was stern that latte art was only available for vanilla and not lavender, the drink my mom initially wanted, because she was the only one that can do the art (not sure why that matters and lowkey the art was not impressive, oop.) After finding out that one of my favorite tea places went out of business (Tranquil Tea Lounge), I noticed this charming place just across the street. I decided to check it out hoping I'd still get my daily tea fix! Fortunately, I enjoyed my meal very much. I ordered the Farmer's sandwich with a side of bacon. As for a beverage, I ordered the iced tea latte with morning fog (Earl Grey). The sandwich was so flavorful and juicy and the bacon came out crisp and plentiful. I first started coming here since it first opened many years ago and the service and food was really good. Since then, there's been a change in ownership and menu. Ambiance is still the same and plenty of space to sit and enjoy. I went recently and the food was mediocre. I ordered the avo campania. Unfortunately, the food made me sick. Just like the other reviewer, I got food poisoning and I don't feel good. I submitted a complaint to the health department. I don't think the place is clean. I came here with a friend for a nice Saturday brunch . Upon entry, I noticed that there was only one worker. He didn't notice us at first but when he did, he asked us to give him some time. Upon first impression, the kale salad seemed like a kale overload which can sometimes be boring and dry. It wasn't. I didn't realize it would be a bit spicy but I loved the dressing. The salad wasnt dry at all and was very filling and super tasty. I had already taken a few bites when I took the photo. I am a major volume eater and sometimes am left hungry after eating just veggies but I felt full and not heavy after this salad.. which was actually pretty big. I will definitely be back to try other things, but that kale salad is definitely a winner. The iced coffee was great too. Employees were so friendly and kind. I have been to Green Bliss a few times and always order the egg bake which comes with toast and sliced potatoes. It's an excellent and filling dish. My friend ordered the oatmeal, avocado toast and the arepa that had egg and vegan chorizo. I tasted each dish and they were delicious as well. The coffees are made exactly as requested. There are several tables and booths inside, but outside is peaceful, green and spacious. We sat next to the fountain. There is a baby station in the restroom as well. I will be back. read more

While delicious, the veggie bagel was overly expensive and nothing too special. My sister got the soy chorizo and vegan cheese arepa, and it was insanely small - not worth the price.
