    Classic Pork Tzatziki
    Marc R.

First time to try Greco. Ordered the Classic Pork Tzatziki and after taxes it cost around $14. The Pork and the Tzatziki were OD! The only downside was that the fries lacked that ideal crisp/snappiness. Snappiness equals Happiness when it comes to fries. The crew were on point and the space was kept clean. Would need to try their other fares soon.

I really like their chicken pita wraps. This was my second time here and ordered a similar sandwich each time. The fries in the sandwich is very interesting, but it makes for a nice addition in a Greek wrap. The items for my wrap were already prepared, soy food was ready fairly quickly.

I was walking around georgetown and stopped by to this place for a bite. I ordered the chicken gyro here and it was really great. The staff was also very friendly. The gyro was the perfect size and I was able to finish it entirely. It was also very tasty. would order again 10/10

Yummmmmy. Quick and easy if in need for a not huge commitment in Georgetown. Only complaint is slight upcharge for the portion size + lack of side. Also the meat was a little cold and had no forks. But still would come back very flavorful

After spending most of the afternoon strolling through Georgetown, we decided to stop here for a bite before heading home. We're fans of hummus and pita chips so we ordered a side of the pita chips and the garlic skordalia dip (which we learned is much like hummus) we also had a side order of the spicy slaw. Both were really good. Service was great as well! The guy that served us was really cool and seemed to enjoy his job. The restaurant is clean and bright. This is a place I'd definitely return to when I'm in the area. If you like restaurants like CAVA or Mezeh, you will love Greco. I want to try one of the pita sandwiches next.

Unfortunately out of lamb so the platter we originally wanted wasn't available. Luckily we got an alternative platter and split between two, we got leftovers from it too! Delicious!!!

One of my go to quick meals! Solid Greek food with good sized portions Food 4/5 - I got the pork pita and fries, pita was great I'll have to come back and try the other meats, fries weren't good will not get again Service 5/5 - quick and easy ordering Vibes 5/5 - lots of seating with a nice indoor balcony style area

This was an okay stop in Georgetown! It wasn't super crowded on a Sunday afternoon so we were able to order and find a table easily. We got a Greek salad which was just cucumbers, onions, tomato, feta, and dressing. It was pretty refreshing and the onions were not too overpowering. We shared a lamb pita with tzatziki. The lamb was a little tough and not in the typical gyro slices you get, it was more like little chunks. I think it was more halal style with the fries inside. I also wanted the halloumi which was definitely overpriced at $6 for two slices of halloumi but it was good! Overall it was a fine lunch but probably not somewhere I would go out of my way to go again.

Putting Greco on my list for a good, quick bite. For a pork pita, interacting with the staff was swift and easy. There's not too much to building a pita - choice of meat, sauce, fresh vegetables, and fries - but it all wraps up into something simple yet delicious. I didn't know what to expect when I ordered pork, but I learned it was shredded, which works inside the pita. Since the restaurant is fairly new, the seating area was clean and bright. There's some tables in the front and plenty more on the side, away from the busy ordering counter, where lines can form. Looking forward to trying the different combination of meats and sauces I can get in a meal! They also look like they have some good options for vegetarians.

Impressed. Marketing themselves as true Greek food v. American Greek, Boston-born Greco is more Greece than America. The loukoumades (Greek doughnuts) on the menu prove it. Walk inside Greco'a first location in D.C. and find a large dining room with a glass side room. The menu is clear and you order like at Chipotle. There are pitas and platters. Pick one of five meats, a vegan option, and two vegetarian options and add toppings. The pitas come with seasoned fries inside and the platters come with sides like Greek slaw or bean salad. The pork pita with tzatziki and onions was a delight. It was flavorful and perfectly filling. Their pitas are warm and soft. The classic loukoumades were hot and just a tad sweet. They sell a variety of bottled drinks but go for the orange blossom lemonade or Greek mountain tea. Those come with free refills and taste refreshing. There are restrooms, the space is clean, and service is friendly and efficient.

Build Your Own Salad ($15.50) with romaine, pork, bean salad, greek slaw, pickled onions, spicy whipped feta, and pita
    Kristen H.

Located on a side street off the ever-bustling M Street, the Georgetown location of Greco is a new location of a fast-casual Greek chain originally based out of Boston serving up classic and flavorful takes on gyros, bowls, and more! The space inside is airy and bright, with a Chipotle-style "build-your-own" approach that allows you to customize your pita, salad, bowl, etc. to your liking. I walked in with a friend on a Thursday night at 7pm, and the restaurant was nearly full, but there was no line to order, and a couple of empty tables. Service is fast and efficent, and we were able to customize and receive our order within a couple of minutes. My friend ordered a Chicken Pita ($12.50) - every pita comes wrapped in a soft pita stuffed with your choice of protein and sauce, fresh vegetables, and their thick-cut Greco fries. He really enjoyed his pita, and it had a good amount of filling in it for the price! I ordered a "Build-Your-Own Salad" ($15.50), which comes with your choice of base, protein, one sauce, and four toppings. There's also some pre-set salad options provided on their menu, but I wanted to customize my own. I went with romaine as a base, toppings of pickled onions, Greek slaw, bean salad, and cilantro-onion mix, pork as a protein, and their spicy whipped feta as my sauce. There's an option to add dressing on top/on the side, but I didn't think it needed it. All salads and plates automatically come with pita, which is soft, pillowy, and delicious! If you prefer your pita on the doughier side, this is definitely the spot for you. In terms of the salad - the vegetables tasted fresh and delicious - I really loved the acidity of the Greek slaw, which was nice and crunchy, and the bean salad was filling, comprised of a variety of mixed beans and chickpeas. The pork was nothing special, but wasn't overly fatty nor gristly - I did wish it was a bit more tender, as I found it a little dry, but that may just be the cooking style. I wanted to try both the tzatziki and the spicy whipped feta, but it's an extra fee to get two sauces, and I had heard rave reviews about the latter - what I'll say is that I did appreciate the nice little kick of spice in the whipped feta, but it didn't really taste "whipped" to me - it was more chunky, and it was also really, really salty. Make sure you mix it with the rest of your dish to help balance it out - and it's great with the pita, which is a bit bland. Was my salad good? Yes, without a doubt. However, for $15.50 (which came out to almost $20 including tip and tax), I think I just expected more. The ingredients tasted fresh and good-quality, and the food tasted fairly authentic, but I could get a really great dish with similar flavor profiles down the street at Falafel Inc for a quarter of the price. I understand paying a premium for meats, but I didn't really think they stood out - maybe I just need to try some of their other dishes (I've heard great things about their Mixed Grill and their Loukoumades) in the future. Overall, this is a solid (if pricey) spot for some more health-conscious, high-quality food, and I would definitely consider returning!

Yum!! I'm pretty excited there is a place like this around. Think of it as the chipotle/cava model. You choose the meats and type (pita, plate, salad) your toppings and you're off to enjoy your meal. I had the chicken pita. It was filled with meat, a pita spread veggie and some fries. A The restaurant is very airy and clean. The staff is so friendly! They made this a great place for me to pop into for a quick bite! Aside from the food I want to give an honerable mention to the Epsa carbonated lemonade I had for a drink! Delicious, not too sweet! It is on Wisconsin ave, so if you're driving you already know the deal that parking is a mess!

I really wanted to write a 4 or 5-star review. The restaurant is so clean, everyone who works there is so lovely and helpful (that I would give 5 stars). However - the 3 stars is on the food. They may just be working out the kinks since they just opened. I ordered to go: the lamb gyro plate with tzatziki and bean salad. The lamb was practically inedible. I choked on the first piece which was basically all gristle. I thought maybe that was just it but it was more than half of the lamb. I also ordered the the Horiatiki salad - it was just ok. The feta was great but the tomatoes were flavorless & the added arugula was on its last leg. I realize they just opened but I'll try one more time and order something different. I hope they check the quality of their meats.
