I did a search for a healthy option on Newbury street and Greco came up. I am glad I tried it. I had a lamb plate. Portion felt a little small. It was busy at lunch time but the line move fairly quickly. Good customer service.

Honestly it's been a while since I've been here but I think the food has gotten better! I got the Greek salad and the pita chips with spicy feta dip which was delicious! I don't know if I loved the pita chips - a tad too fried, I think I would have preferred just toasted pita but overall yummy and super quick pick up order

Not going to lie, this is not the best greek food you can find in Boston. In a pinch or if you happen to stumble upon it, it'll definitely do to satisfy your craving. The prices aren't too bad for Newbury St. and even when it's very crowded their service is reasonably quick. Additionally, there's a good amount of seating despite the small space. However, there's nothing that stood out to me as exceptional. The avgolemono soup and the lamb gyro were definitely good and the highlights of the meal for me, but also not something I would go back for. Aside from this, the menu does have a wide variety of options and some traditional greek treats that might be hard to find elsewhere, but for me it wasn't my favorite regardless. Maybe give it a try for yourself if you're curious, though!

This is a nice Greek food spot along Newbury street. I ordered a pita wrap with pea protein, the Greek yogurt sauce and charred eggplant was delicious! However, I was a bit skeptical cause I don't think they put vegan protein in my order. The interior was cramped and certainly not accessible for people with disabilities or crutches or sprained ankles with limited movement. The exterior is a nice spot to sit and get some people watching on.

I am obsessed with their halloumi pita. I have driven 30 minutes just to have it. It's so flavorful and juicy and crispy and fresh and there's a ton of food for the price. Highly highly recommend. Food comes out quickly too.

Chicken Plate with spicy feta and lemon chive yogurt + lentils

Made a quick stop for a lunch that wasn't dessert on our Boston trip. Reviews looked promising and a friend said some of his coworkers liked this spot. Overall I was impressed. Simple greek plate but very flavorful, very fresh and was a great portion for $16 bucks. I got the lentils for my side and fir sauce I got the lemon chive yogurt and spicy feta. Absolutely delicious combo. It was a solid 3.5-4.5oz meat and along with the lentils this was a good amount of protein to balance out the more "sweet" options we've been picking on all day. The space inside the restaurant is comfortable, the staff is friendly and checked on us a few times to make sure all was good. And from ordering to getting our food, we waited maybe 4 minutes? Overall, very pleased and would come back. It may not be my absolute favorite greek food ever but it absolutely got the job done and earned a repeat visit + my recommendation.

I ordered Greco via Relish which is a catering service. Due to this I can't speak on the actual restaurant ambiance and staff. What I can say is that the food is excellent. I had a chicken plate with beans and tzatziki. The ingredients were so good. The pita bread was fresh. I'd love to try more from here!

Chicken Gyro Plate with lemon pilaf ($16) and Classic Loukoumades ($8)

What a great place! When it comes to quick-serve Greek cuisine, Greco sets the bar quite high. Located in the scenic Newbury Street, Greco is a cozy, comfortable, and inviting fast casual restaurant with great, fairly priced food. You can dine inside or on their dog friendly patio seating. Keep in mind that the inside and patio seating areas are a bit small, and there's limited seating. We arrived for lunch with our small dog and settled in on their lovely patio. We ordered the chicken gyro plate with lemon pilaf ($16) and an order of their Classic Loukoumades ($8). The dish was bursting with flavorful bits that were simply divine when paired with a dollop of tzatziki sauce. The loukoumades were equally as enjoyable. They were crispy and airy, striking the perfect level of sweetness and flavors. A really enjoyable way to round out our meal. For those seeking top-notch Greek fare without the fuss, but with plenty of friendly service and quality food ingredients, GRECO is a must visit!

This is a fun spot in Newbury Street for Greek food. I love Greek food so I always want to stop by a local Greek restaurant when I am traveling. They had an outdoor seating area filled with people. You then go down the stairs and enter the main shop. From there you can pick if you would like a gyro or a platter and choose from the options available. It is quality Greek street food for an affordable price. I ordered a chicken gyro to go. They cut the meat right in front of me. I loved the tzatziki sauce and french fries. Be sure to order the zucchini chips. It was my first time trying it and they were amazing. One thing I didn't notice until it was too late was the Greco app. You could download it and place your order for $3 off your first order. By that time it was too late for me. Make sure you download the app to get the membership. If you are anything like me you will be coming back here again very soon.

No frills, quick service, quality food place on newbury. I got a simple gyro with pork and it was hearty and filling. I mean you can't go wrong with meat, pita, sauce and fries but still :) Will be back for sure when I'm in Boston next

Good quick stop in for food. Lunch prices around ~$13-16. I got the plate, halloumi, spicy feta and with zucchini chips. Overall very impressed. Service was quick (sat for 2-3min at lunch time and already had food) and indoor seating looked nice but I took to go. I really liked the zucchini chips, they were tasty and crisp, and something that feels a lot easier to convert to frying at home than even potato wedges. I have had them on my mind for a couple days though and try to recapture the experience. Halloumi was good, spicy feta not too much but good and flavorful, and nice bed of veggies for whole dish. Other than those thoughts, really good lunch from what looks to be a local chain. I would definitely recommend.

For a well-known Greek chain in Boston, especially one with a location on Newbury St., I honestly expected better. While the service and wait time at GRECO was decent, the food was simply just OK, nothing to really write home about. The portions were also very small for the price (pictured plates each for $15.50), I felt feeling nearly satisfied but nowhere near full. I ordered the chicken plate which came with a side of fries, salad, and pita bread slices. The chicken was good, cooked well and flavorful. The fries were tasty, but there weren't very many. The salad was disappointing, as it was just sliced tomatoes and onions. No dressing whatsoever. The pita and honey mustard was very good. They also skimped on the feta, and I was barely able to taste any in my dish. Honestly, there are much better authentic Greek places in the Boston area, and if you want a good alternative chain restaurant in Boston I'd hit up Saloniki Greek-- their prices are similar but the food is tastier and more filling.

I am begging Greco to come to Minnesota. I come to Boston at least once a year for work and I am always making at least one, if not two, stops to Greco. This time I got it twice! This is a new location for me but it is so cool and a fun spot in Back Bay. I always get the pork souvlaki plate with extra fries instead of salad. I love this meal, they have great fries, great tzatziki and the best pork souvlaki I have been able to find in the states. Truly my favorite spot in Boston!

Is the chicken always marinated in honey mustard or just on the classic chicken?

The chicken itself is not marinated in Honey, not until it's prepared on the Gyro, the chicken is season and cook on a slow rotisserie

The menu covers enough ground that finding something worth coming back to is not difficult. The Kale Caesar is the standout order for me and delivers every time, well balanced and filling without feeling heavy afterward. The portions are genuinely generous across the board, and the option to build my own bowl gives me enough flexibility to work with whatever I am in the mood for. The ingredients feel fresh in a way that separates this place from most fast casual options at a similar price point, and the vegan and vegetarian options are substantial enough that they do not feel like afterthoughts tacked onto the menu. The staff at this location are consistently warm and friendly, which makes the whole experience noticeably more pleasant than your average quick service lunch spot. Seating inside runs on the tighter side and fills up quickly during midday, so coming prepared to eat outside or take it back to the office is worth considering on a busy weekday. Overall it is a dependable, quality option for a fast and genuinely satisfying lunch in the area.

Last time I walked in and was told…read morethere would be a two-hour wait, but this time I made a reservation and finally got to enjoy a delicious meal! Tiropita Rolls: Very straightforwardly delicious. The bread was warm, soft, and airy, with a rich aroma of butter and cheese; the spread was a rich blend of honey butter, and olives, sweet and delicious, perfect as an appetizer. Tzatziki: A slight disappointment. The cucumber and Greek yogurt spread was surprisingly heavy, a bit cloying, and the pickled kumquats weren't as sweet as I expected, but rather had a slightly bitter taste. The pita bread was thick and soft, probably better suited for dipping in soup--like Bourdeto--than for the spread. Bourdeto: The tomato fish soup was a pleasant surprise. The freshly caught grouper of the day was thick and tender, lightly seared to create a crispy crust. The broth was a vibrant, tangy tomato base, with onions, fennels, and red peppers contributing a sweet, layered flavor. Trahanas, fermented wheat and dairy, added richness and a smooth texture to the soup. The broth also had a slight spiciness, making it incredibly comforting on a chilly autumn day. Portokalopita: The dessert that elevated the entire meal. A traditional Greek orange phyllo, the cake, made from crumbs of phyllo pastry, becomes incredibly soft and moist after being soaked in orange syrup. Every bite was bursting with rich orange sweetness and fragrance, followed by a slightly bitter orange zest--perfectly balanced.
