My dad was in a rehab center in Teaneck, NJ. I am familiar with the area and knew that the town was so small. I found 2 carryouts and tried them both during my month long stay. Great Wall saw me once a week at least. lol The wonton soup and chicken with broccoli were top tier. I love soup with tons of scallions. And I love chicken with broccoli with brown sauce that isn't clumpy. This sauce was brown but clear and flavorful.

    Menu

It's a very busy place but the food is good. The worst thing is you don't get a receipt, so I paid whatever she told me about the cost.

Chicken with broccoli(little oil extra spicy) chicken dumplings shrimp roll and scallion pancakes

Fast and Fresh Chinese Delivery food. Delivers to Englewood, NJ and parts of Teaneck, NJ. Good value for the price and decent delivery time.

My favorite take out Chinese restaurant, been a customer for a decade. Fresh vegetables, tasty brown rice, really nice people.

This is the first Chinese take out in Teaneck that is really good. Food is fresh, not greasy and delivered door to door.

This place is great! Food was good and the lunch menu price can't be beat. Like $5.30+tax and they even gave me a can soda.

Now I live across the country, in a place severely lacking in Chinese takeout and I still think about this place all the time.

I've also noticed that beef orders are touch and go, because the meat pieces tend to be rather tough. That said, I love the seasoning and saucing here. Tough meat aside, their beef and string bean meal has become one of my recent favorites. My husband raves about their spicy Chinese eggplant dishes, and he's been pretty happy about any chicken dish he's ordered. So many the golden rule is to stick with chicken over other proteins? Unlike other Chinese takeout spots in the area, they don't take delivery orders. Delivery orders can be fulfilled either through UberEats or through their website, which seems to outsource orders to another delivery service. I've used the nameless delivery service once and got the order just fine, but the ordering process is somewhat inflexible (e.g. my husband's favorite order from the lunch special menu isn't available as a standalone entree and there's no way to make those requests through the website, so we had to do a pickup order just so we could ask a person to make it happen). There are very few parking spots out front, so we've often had to double park when picking up orders, with one person waiting in the car while the other runs in to pay.

I don't like that they put lettuce in it. Didn't taste like cabbage to me. I ask for it without that usually. Decent though. One time I called and they were out of lo mein noodles! How does that even happen?! Egg Foo Young: this is actually pretty good from here. Greasy though. Pizza Egg Roll: I'm a fan of these from Kennedy Fried Chicken, but not a huge fan from here. Greasy and dare I say too much cheese? I'm a huge fan of cheese, but it was almost too much and not enough marinara inside the balance wasn't there. This is the only Chinese place in the area that has these. They also have Philly cheese steak rolls which I haven't tried yet (had them at a place in Teaneck though and they were so good!) Chicken wings: well seasoned, but WAY too greasy. Fries: again too greasy. Overall this place is "ok" but definitely not my favorite in Hackensack. Too greasy, but it is cheap.

I say this without hesitation, and…read moreby judging the restaurant on what it's trying to be: the highest expression of a neighborhood Korean-Chinese place. We most recently came in on a Friday night with a 6 pm reservation. Yes, we had to flag down one of the harried but cheerful women working here to place our order. But look around - there's not a white tablecloth in sight. You may have to catch someone's eye, and there's nothing wrong with that. By 6:15 pm, half of our order was on the table, and we were gleefully chomping on fried dumplings and pillowy buns. The small but clean and modern space was packed - packed with people, but also with so much happiness. Almost everyone was smiling, laughing, and joking as they tucked into this feel-good array of comfort classics. Jajangmyun, jjampong, khan poong, gochu japchae... all of these traditional dishes sang. Even a simple plate of sauteed vegetables was delicious. And everything spent just seconds between being finished in the kitchen and sitting in front of us. Is it cheap? No, nor should it be. The ingredients are of the freshest, including the seafood. The cooking couldn't be better. And this is no grimy hole in the wall. If it were a French bistro, you'd have no problem with the prices. So pay these fine folks what they deserve, and enjoy.
