Food is horrible, could not be worse. Inedible I dont know what is wrong with these people it is not your conventional recipes for kungpow and chicken and brccoli. Avoid here and they dont care about my satisfaction, I called to complain, they dont care. 20$ food straight to garbage. I ordered here before and had them labeled horrible chinese food, Im stupid for giving them another chance read more

China Garden - Menu - Chinese Near Me - Cliffside Park, New Jersey

My favorite fast food chinese pleace in the area. I think originally it was on Broad ave. Palisades park in the 90's unless they had 2 locations, one there and one in Cliffside. Fave all the time is their beef chow fun and chicken wings. Taste is pretty consistent and i like the fact that this place does not put the typical Chinese spice, which our family does not like. Sometimes i think they may over use their oil to fry things so that things come our a bit dark. Other than that, pretty much a good American Chinese fast food place read more

China Garden - Menu and prices as of October 2022 - Chinese Near Me - Cliffside Park, New Jersey

been ordering since i moved to jersey in 91. best chinese food in this area. if the owner is reading remember me??!! 4..5..7. third street! read more

I will have to give this place a 3 though I get it the food is alright I eat it when I don't know what else to eat or realistically when I just want something different I recommend the chicken broccoli because it's good when you add the hot sauce, the lady who answers the phone I like her but sometimes you don't want to be answered with just a "Yes" I understand they have a long day but a simple "Hi","alright, is that all" will change the WHOLE conversation. I recommend it if you want to get something quick and simple read more

Was the best Chinese in the area...place went downhill after new management/owners. The previous owners were kind and always smiled. The girl answering the phone is just nasty. If you dont repeat your order 5 times she screws it up and yells at you for not telling her beforehand (3rd time this happened). The food also lacks the flavor we were so used to. Have been ordering here for 30+ years... time to find another place. read more

What a damn good Chinese take out joint! I had the chicken with black bean sauce with Chinese mix veggies and my bf had the general tso's chicken. I love this place because the sauces are so deep and rich. The black bean sauce is sooooooo good. I asked for extra black beans because usually when I order out from my reg joint they never put enough. Not China Garden! The sauces are rich and full of flavor without asking. I will return for Chinese take out nights! read more

China Garden - the front of the restaurant - Chinese Near Me - Cliffside Park, New Jersey

Ordered from this place several times. Yes, it is American Chinese food, but the veggies are fresh, the dishes are tasty and they will accommodate a special order, include/ exclude certain ingredients. Ordering is easy and delivery is quick and courteous. They have to be~ there are 4 Chinese restaurants within a half mile radius, as well as Korean and Thai. Its a good food scene here! read more

Been eating here for over 30 yrs and will continue to do so. Everything is so good and they will prepare your meal any way you want. Love it!!! read more

Idiots answering the phone.. I wanted to place an order for delivery, the lady answered the phone refuses to repeat the order back to me so I make sure she got everything and then hangs up on me, I called back to ask her why she hanged up on me and she said I thought you finished, well you didn't even ask me if I want something else and you just hanged up on me.. I told her to cancel the order, she's like ok no problem and hanged up on me AGAIN.. You know what you the one losing business not me with your attitude.. read more

16 years of ordering from here and finally came to the location. Super clean and friendly. Wheew!! This food is the best Chinese food around. Trust me. I'm picky! read more

This is by far my favorite chinese food spot in the area. They are fairly priced and always make the food the way that I ask. They are friendly and deliver very quickly. I don't recommend dining here as it only has one table. read more

Nasty woman Answering the phone. Tried to place an order. Told me to call another place. Rude and arrogant.

This place is a HIT everytime! Talk about consistency from the crispy cheese wontons to the fresh chicken wings it's always great. Sesame Chicken with some of the tastiest sauce we've ever had. Our family really enjoys this place and we highly recommend them to you! read more

I am a Chinese restaurant/take-out aficionado for years. Ihave sung the praises of Woo Hop and Hop Kee in NYC thinking they were the only ones that could handle classic Chinese dishes. Well, I was 100% wrong. Living in New Jersey, I figured I'd have to suffer the slings and arrows of Chinese take-out joints that Americanize their traditional dishes and, ultimately, serve up an inferior menu that pales in comparison to those wonderful places in the city. CHINA GARDEN, which I have been devotedly frequenting for two decades now, is the rare exception in Chinese cuisine on this side of the Hudson River. Using nothing but fresh ingredients (pork, chicken, shell fish, beef and a variety of the finest Chinese vegetables), the Lin sisters watch over their cooks with a critical eye (I even saw the oldest sister push a new chef aside to show him "how things are done"), keep the recipes simple and consistent with the time-worn recipes of their family and serve up a product that is unbeatable in this part of New Jersey. The place itself is an efficient little shop in a strip mall that is wedged between a Spanish bodega and the very good "IT'S GREEK TO ME" Greek restaurant and one would think the place would suffer in the cleanliness and sterility departments because of it's tiny space. On the contrary, the place is one of the cleanest places I have ever seen and the staff is constantly wiping, sweeping, swiffing and sterilizing something to maintain their high level of cleanliness. The atmosphere, if you can have atmosphere in a small take-out place, is one of frenzied politeness as you can see the sisters working hard to accommodate ever customer that calls and every person that wanders in, off the cuff, from the street and the buses that pull right up in front of their location. Always with a smile and a kind word, the Lin sisters often sweeten the deals for their customers by throwing in a "free" this or that (whether it be a beverage or, in the case of a large order from a devoted customer, an extra entrée) and always welcome you when you walk in and wish you a good night on the way out. When it comes to delivery, CHINA GARDEN CANNOT BE BEAT. The average wait stated for your order is 15-20 minutes and in most cases my order has been delivered in 12 minutes flat (and, to me, that's awesome considering my orders are large-about 45 dollars a shot). As for favorite dishes, the list is too long for me to even mention (although, the HOT AND SOUR SOUP is, absolutely the best in New Jersey and the Ground Pork and Bean Curd stew, which I had never heard of before I started going to CHINA GARDEN is absolutely amazing), but the standard dishes are rendered so perfectly you forget you're eating "just another" carton of Chicken Chow Mein or "just another" plate of Egg Foo Young. The pricing is excellent, actually a steal for the high quality food, and I cannot think of a time where I wasn't totally satisfied with what I was putting in my mouth or the service that the Lin sisters commandeer with their fine eating establishment. If a mistake in the order occurs, the sisters immediately rectify the situation within minutes and bombard you with apologies and, when ordering on the phone, often recognize me by what I am ordering and my voice so much so that they don't even need to ask for my address or phone number. I'm a picky, critical and hard-to-please person when it comes to food (I'm Italian) but, with CHINA GARDEN I know what I am getting is top flight and always delicious and fresh. POUND FOR POUND THE BEST CHINESE TAKE-OUT PLACE IN NORTH JERSEY! I DEFY YOU TO PROVE ME WRONG!!!! Dennis from Cliffside Park read more

The best Chinese take-out restaurant I've been to. I used to live nearby as a kid and frequented this place...probably way more than I should have! :) The best chicken and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, (yellow) shrimp fried rice (they don't just drench it in soy sauce) - and the good hot sauce (not the cheap stuff). I no longer live in town but I always come back for my faves! Oh and they deliver extremely quickly - no matter how big your order, it will be there in 15 minutes. Love this place! read more

To be blunt, this is mediocre chinese take out, at best. And they only take cash, which is inconvenient to say the least. The quality of the food alone would warrant a 3 star review but I can't in good conscious give it anything more than 1 star after seeing how dirty and disgusting it was inside this place. I've been here once, got the lo-mein (which was greasy and lacking in flavor) and while I was waiting for my order I saw a roach skitter across the floor by the register. That's it for me. I question how "fresh" the ingredients are when I doubt this place would pass any health inspection. I'll continue to search for good chinese in the area, but China Garden certainly isn't it. read more

I'm sorry but this is the best Chinese food in the area. Whoever says their food is bland is out of their mind. Their sauces are amazing. I always always get the beef lomein, which is the best in my area based on all the Chinese places I've eaten, and their shredded beef or chicken "hunan style" never fails to deliever. Scallion pancakes are delish. They never skimp out on putting meat in the meat dishes, or chicken in the chicken dishes - when I order from other places I feel like I'm eating broccoli in soy sauce...love this place, not much of a spot to eat in, but Def great for takeout...ohhh and their half fried chicken is on point! read more

I've been ordering from China Garden for years and it's always the best! Food is fair priced and consistent. The ladies who run this place are friendly. In the past few years that I've been ordering from them, I've never had a bad experience. Even though I've moved around Jersey, I always come back to China Garden when I'm in the area. Try the general tso that always comes with white meat, or the beef with broccoli that always tastes so fresh. read more

I've never eaten here before and was in the mood for some Chinese food. I know everyone makes General Tso's Chicken a little different...but this was awful. It seemed like it had a tomato base...just didn't taste like it should. The pork fried rice was even flavorless. Soy sauce didn't even help it. I never waste food, and will eat what's in front of me when I'm hungry..but I couldn't even stomach this. Threw most of it out. read more

The reliable Chinese-To-Go in the area. Fresh, tasty and priced well. Love their house special fried rice.

My sisters and I have been ordering from China Garden since we were little (so that's about 30 years). I refuse to order Chinese food from anywhere else. I love their chicken and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, fried chicken wings and fries, and they have the best egg rolls EVER!! I don't care what anyone says, China Garden will alway be my go to Chinese Takeout. Plus, it's a family business and the owners are such hard workers, they open 365 days a year. The only time they ever close is if they lose water. read more

I really liked this place till today. So I end up ordering Chicken fried rice two orders. The food gets here and I take a couple bits and realize they've put tofu instead of chicken. I wanted to think it was a honest mistake but I realized if they are putting one over peoples heads using tofu to save money since its cheaper than chicken. I call back acting oblivious about this and ask the Lady what I ordered. She tells me what I ordered , it was chicken fried rice. I tell her that definatley wasn't chicken it was tofu. She begins to try to CONVINCE me that it was some sort of chicken roll. I told them I'm never going to order from this place again and it was very unprofessional , I hanged up and they called back but I ignored. 1. I ordered "Chicken Fried Rice" not Chicken Roll fried rice. 2. I've eaten LOTS of Asian cuisine and one for damn sure that was Tofu. 3. Honestly if anybody was oblivious they would think its chicken but chicken isn't cubed and squishy. This will be the last time I'll be ordering their food , I honestly enjoyed it till today the fact of the matter was it wasn't a mistake it was them trying to hover one over their customers heads. read more

WITHOUT QUESTION THE BEST CHINESE TAKE OUT JOINT IN THE CLIFFSIDE PARK/FORT LEE AREA OF NJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Strictly a take-out and delivery joint, this small store front that's tucked away in the middle of a non-assuming strip-mall at the end of town, is ground-zero for the best and freshest Chinese food in most of North Jersey. Run by two sisters, the girls are basically standing guard (sometimes, I think, whips in hand) over their chefs to make sure the food is made and packed as fast as possible but without skimping on quality. The place is super clean, you can see through the front window the chefs cooking with fresh ingredients and prices are so reasonable that you can get away with feeding a party of 10 people for about 60 bucks. I'm very picky with Chinese food as most of the time I'm eating in restaurants in NYC Chinatown... However, CHINA GARDEN is as close to the perfection of NYC Chinese cuisine as you ever gonna get. The menu is loaded with all of the tradition plates that make up any Chinese restaurant menu... However, if you're like me and like to try something different, you'll find plenty tucked away in every category of the menu that will come as a surprise. For example: China Garden has a dish under PORK category called BEAN CURD WITH GROUND PORK. What looks like a stew that includes carrots and peas is really a delightfully tasty and spicy dish that, when served over rice, is a full dinner in and of itself (quite frankly, it's one of my very favorite dishes of all time from any Chinese restaurant). The service is speedy and the delivery time is never any more than 30 minutes even when placing a family sized order for ten or more people. TO SUM IT UP: GREAT FOOD GREAT PRICES SPEEDY DELIVERY TERRIFIC MANAGEMENT CHINA GARDEN IS THE BEST FOR CHINES FOOD IN THE AREA!!!!!!!! read more

Thanks for the delivery, hard to find decent food being a trucker, they delivered it to my truck and food is great

China Garden is a great take out restaurant. The ingredients are fresh and the quality is outstanding. I've never been disappointed.
