Honestly very good spot. I'm usually very picky with Chinese takeout as most of us are but this is a potential go to spot. We just moved in the area and they are very friendly making sure we had everything to go and giving a ton of food. Very reasonable price wise as well. I don't like wandering off to Chinese takeout places unless I see good reviews but this place def deserves a good review.

I ordered beef with scallions and they gave me beef with papers. That tiny potion is considered large. $13.50, let that sink in.

Worth trying. Growing up, this was one of the top Chinese places we would order from. I always get either General Tso's Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Chicken and Broccoli or Beef and Broccoli. I love their egg drop soup. I ALWAYS order egg drop soup when I order Chinese and I have had some very bland and mediocre egg drop soups in my life. This place is always on par. They also have good egg rolls (I've never had an egg roll I didn't like, luckily). There are many other Chinese restaurants with a higher food quality but this place is more of a classic, affordable joint. I'm sure I'll be back one day.

I grew up eating this food. Its cheap and delicious. After the new ownership they got rid of there secret hot sauce, but the quality of the food is still delicious. favorites are chicken lo main and sweet and sour pork. also there hot and sour soup. And they never fail to stay open late, even if there are no costumers you will see them open at 11pm when the entire town is dead.

They have always been known for their dishes and slightly more "upscale" vibe, lending it to be a favorite K-chinese restaurant for dining with guests. However, on this late lunch visit I was thoroughly impressed with their Yuni Jjajang (MAIN, 4/5) that had the perfectly cooked and chewy noodles with robust and well-balanced sauce w. a hint of chili kick. I'm usually not the Jjajang type (I usually order Jjamppong) but I barely even touched wife' jjamppong because I was busy stuffing my face with this. Their pork tangsooyook (ENTREE, 4/5) was crispy on the outside without being greasy, chewy & flavorful inside, and sauce hit the right balance of sweet & sour. I dipped each piece in the dipping sauce (IYKYK) and enjoyed every bite alongside my noodle dish. We had leftover jjamgppong and tangsooyook taken out and enjoyed it a day later and it was still awesome. (Do pack noodles separately) Really delicious. I must've been sleeping on this joint but now I've awoken to it again and will be back!

Rahongbu Malatang - Dry pot

Went to Rahongbu Malatang for some dry pot on a weeknight for dinner. It's in the same restaurant…read moreas Hong Chun Cheon, which serves dakgalbi. The dry pot here is similar to others, where you serve yourself from a raw bar, the ingredients are weighed, and they cook it for you to the spice level of your liking. I don't like that noodles are charged separately from the weight of the other ingredients (vegetables, fish cakes, meat, etc.) Because of this, i almost opted to order one of the dakgalbi dishes on the menu for Hong Chun Cheon. However, the prices listed on the menu are for one serving. When i tried to order, the lady at the counter explained I had to order two order minimum. So the real price for one order of cheese dakgalbi is $51.90, not $25.95. This was annoying because I was the only person who wanted dakgalbi, which mean i ended up not getting it. I did get my dry pot though. They make it spicy just like everyone else. At about $16 per pound with separate charges for noodles, it's slightly more expensive than other dry pot restaurants in the area. I eventually wanna come back for the dakgalbi, but I'm gonna need to make sure i have a partner beforehand.

If…read moreyou're getting mala, you can self-serve any ingredients you'd like - malatang was cheaper ($14.95/lb) than the dry pot version ($16.95/lb). There aren't too many options but still ample to make a delicious mala dish. I got the Malatang with the Medium level which was the best for me, although I was sniffling a bit towards the end. I think Mild is also a great option, as it was still flavorful with a slight heat. We had a bit of a wait on Friday night as expected but luckily, upon being seated it's just a matter of waiting for the kitchen to prepare your dish. They offered us complimentary sweet potato tempura on the house which helped curb our hunger in the meantime. There are only three people working front of house so please be patient!

I have easily finished two trays myself in one sitting. The fried rice dishes are a nice surprise too. They are not greasy and not overly salty, which I really appreciate. Service is quick, with most dishes coming out within 5 to 10 minutes, making it a great spot when you want something fast and satisfying. Just be warned, it is very easy to overdo it here.

Table was cleaned and we were set up very quickly, the server came to us immediately and took our drink order pretty quickly. We started off with the scallion pancakes which were great! I realized we got a lot of food so I made a list of what we got and how good it was. Herbal chicken soup - fantastic (10 stars as a soup lover it was delicious and hearty) General Tso's - more on the sweet than spicy side which is my preference but may not be everyone's (very crispy and good in my opinion if you value texture over spice it was great -4/5 stars) Beef with scallion - my fam loves scallions so it was absolutely delish, and I tried some and thought so too! (5/5 stars) Eggplant in garlic sauce - delicious, was cooked very well, a perfect balance of spices and texture. (6/5 stars ** it was very very good ) Roast pork fried rice - SO SO good as is a staple of most Chinese places I think. (4.5/5) Shrimp pan fried noodles - I'm allergic to seafood so I didn't have it but it was good (4/5) OF COURSE THE SOUP DUMPLINGS: I'll give the soup dumplings a 4/5 they were good, I haven't had any in Jersey I usually go to NY for soup dumplings so I think it's pretty good for here. I think the service was very good, they were very kind, very attentive, now that could be because we ordered half the menu idk - but *I*** think it's SUCH a great place where you really get a bang for your buck. I also want to say the portion sizes are LARGE we definitely ended up taking things to go just because we didn't expect to order so much and for the portions to be so large. I think I may have forgotten another dish or two but overall the food is really really good. Only qualm really was just the size of the restaurant (which they can't really help) wasn't too big. The ambiance was very nice - though I think my party was unfortunately a bit more boisterous than the rest of the people around, it's family friendly so any one of all ages can come and enjoy something. Saw plenty of parents with strollers, elderly people, and everyone in between like my group. It's pretty good vibes. Big portions, great food, good people, good vibes! I have to come back here sometime! I usually go to Fort Lee for Korean food but I think I've found a new place to hit up when I'm in town. Lovely lovely place!

The dining room was empty when we rocked up on a weekday late afternoon, and it was nice to sit at a table by the window for a street view. I love how theirs comes with loads of veggies, even as I question the use of green beans which is a first for me (to see them in sweet and sour pork). And while it was distracting and would rather have the dish without the beans, the star of the fish, the pork, was just right and we gobbled it up. I hope they stay open for a long time.
