Good food, generous portion sizes, affordable price. The chicken Pho is delicious. I ordered it to take away and they separated the broth from the other bits (noodles, chicken, jalapeño, sprouts, etc.) so I could assemble at home (fresh!). It was packed with that traditional Pho soup flavor, so good! And I can easily make 3 meals with this portion size. read more

Not sure about the bad reviews. The service is really, really nice. We have a family member who's "allergic" to MSG (they get the night sweats and headaches that are possibly placebo affect) and we called and the lady was so, so sweet. Literally so concerned with making sure our food was free of MSG. The food was pretty good. We got a variety of items. Nothing was out of this world but it was pretty typical takeout Chinese fair. So many great things to say. All of their food is delicious! The pho so good! Almond cashew chicken is fantastic, shrimp and broccoli, fried rice, sesame beef, Mongolian beef! We love it here. My only complaint is that they are very stingy with chili oil, they only give one per order no matter how many dishes you order. But otherwise the food is always really good! read more

I'm currently training at Davis Monthan and decided to give this place a shot. I ordered the dinner special which includes the dish, a soup, a piece of fried chicken, and an egg roll. So much food! I end up eating half of it the day I order it, and the other half the next day. Not bad for $12. Food is good every time I've ordered it. I have tried the house pan fried noodles, shrimp and lobster sauce, honey walnut shrimp, happy family and every item I have tried has been amazing. I ordered from them off Door Dash last night and will never order from them again!! I ordered Vegetable Moo Shu and Shrimp Lo Mein. I received CHICKEN moo shu (this was for a vegetarian) and the Lo Mein had literally THREE shrimp in it and almost no vegetables. Just a container full of noodles for almost ten bucks. Thankfully Door Dash compensated me, but it wasn't their fault. The cooks at GWC need to be more vigilant and careful to get their orders right!!! read more

Twice tried, twice denied. Goodness, me. What a horrible set of experiences at this restaurant. First try: I sat with my menu for a good 20 minutes and didn't get any additional service. Not even a quick drive by. I even thought about walking into the next room to flag down my server but opted to just leave. Second try: Service was very attentive this time! But a couple of things left me feeling like the Great Wall is not worth a third try. First of all, I am very thrilled to see that the restaurant serves dim sum. I generally go to Gee's Garden, but wanted to give this place a try. Mistake. The dim sum cart sat motionless in the middle of the restaurant for I don't know how long. I didn't notice this until I placed my order, and my server brought the cart from behind a wall. I tried the siu mai, BBQ pork buns, har gau, shark fin and one other type of bun. My immediate impression? Most of the wrappers were beginning to dry out. And you know how wonderfully plush buns are meant to be? These looked to be slightly burnt on the bottoms, so much that the papers stuck to them and had browned. At the end of my meal, I had quite a bit of food left, some I decided to take with me and some I decided to leave behind. When the server caught wind of this, she asked why I was leaving food behind. I told her the items did not taste fresh and that they were stiff. Not only did she proceed to tell me, "No, no. They are fresh," but two other servers came by to affirm her statements. Wow! Three servers now when I couldn't get one on my first visit! Since they refused to believe me, I asked them to touch the food I was leaving behind. One did, and then she went quiet. Then one of the others told me -- no lie! not even exaggerating: "When you take it home, put it in the microwave with a few drops of water on it. Leave it in for a few seconds. It will become soft again." ...whaaa?! But I came to eat at your establishment! Not to take your food and microwave it at home! Wooooow. Folks, over the more than 10 years I have been enjoying dim sum I have had amazing, AMAZING dim sum in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle and elsewhere. I trust and believe I am a decent judge of what is fresh and what is sloppy. This was hands down one of the most outlandish experiences I have had at a restaurant. I won't be going back. read more

The food, was indescribably amazing. The flavor got better The more you ate. The waitress helped me box my food and was overall probably the sweetest person I've ever met. I ordered the Kung pao with BBQ chicken and noodles and it was great. My friend got the wonton soup and she loved it. I'd eat this every day if I could. The ambiance of this place gave you a really nice setting to eat. Everything was clean and I could see my reflection in the plates and the tables. Never again. For 6 yrs, once every couple of months, I put up with their mediocre food simply because they deliver and its not easy for me to get around, but last night was the absolute worst. I spent the night throwing up after eating only two of their vietmese spring rolls. The orange chicken was completely uneatable because it was rock hard and you could tell by the two different shades of sauce on the chicken they tried to mix what was leftover from sitting out all day with some fresh(er) stuff. The vegetable "fried rice" was nothing more than their steamed rice poorly tossed with soy sauce and frozen peas and carrots. When I called to complain after vomiting all night, they were argumentative and accusatory as though I were lying. I told them I have the entire order of orange chicken here to prove it, and they still continued, finally saying they will only refund me $15 ($28 order) and ONLY if all the food was still in the containers. (Remember I ate the two spring rolls plus two bites of the chicken and rice which made me sick all night). In the end they gave me only $11.50 back, so those two spring rolls that made me sick, cost ME $17!!! Even when they were giving me back the little they did while taking back their chicken and rice, the guy asked if I was okay because I had to leave my front door for a minute to go throw up again and he could see I was not doing well. It didn't stop him from trying to bully me and screwing me over... Someone needs to shut this place down. read more

The worst tasting Chinese food encountered since moving here. Ordered the Chicken and Mushroom dinner which comes with choice of soup and fried spring roll and fried chicken piece. Egg Drop Soup passable because of the crispy noodles, otherwise tasteless. Tasteless, fried spring roll soaked in vegetable oil needed heavy dosage of hot mustard. Looked at the chicken part (thigh?) took one bite and tasted rubbery and old. Coup de grace was the main dish. Broccolli undercooked, mushrooms fair, but the chicken was utter rubber. I mean nasty. Told server I couldn't eat it, had taken a couple of bites. She had no power, so the kitchen translator for the owner/chef came out. Repeated my experience and said they were going to charge for the soup, fried chicken and egg roll. This was stated after I said I would order something else. By the way, the server took a knife cutting a chicken piece saying that part of the chicken was edible. I was in shock and upset when she pulled that act. From past experience a restauranteur would have just comped the meal, but no, they wanted the $3.00. So, after being told this I told them to forget my order of Vietnamese Shrimp Rolls. Sorry folks, this restaurant is not worth one star. Did not leave a tip. HORRIBLE food! Avoid. There are others that are significantly better. I've warned you, you're on your own now. read more

We would not at all recommend this gloomy, drafty place. Seafood pho was not edible, broth had a very noxious off smell and taste. General Tso's chicken was served cold with three tiny sprigs of broccoli. We requested that our waitress take the dish back and bring us hot food, she wasn't sympathetic or cooperative. Not sure she understood enough English to assist us. Finally she agreed and returned with the same dish of food after a few seconds of microwave heat? Only top layer was hot, so we left it. We just moved here from Cali (Bay Area specifically) where there are more options for Chinese food around every corner. We were looking for a decent place because we missed a certain taste. First of all, service is great. Attentive, accommodating, patient, and just really nice. We ordered a bunch of lunch special plates and the portions were so big! The lunch special comes with an egg roll, fried chicken wing and soup. The eggroll and wing were fried so nicely. Super crispy but not overdone, very tasty. I really liked the hot and sour soup too. Our portions were so large we couldn't finish it all, so we took them home for our dinner :o) I honestly think this place is better than any Panda Express, and the service is great. I've lived in Tucson for 5 months and yet to find a good place. Everyone told me this was the place.. Maybe I got my hopes up too high. The customer service was awful. There were only two people there for takeout. The only other customers were leaving. The cashier/server left me at the front door and started cleaning tables. After 3 minutes or so she asked me if I was sitting down or picking up. Then she started doing something else. I had the Mongolian Chicken. It was ok. It was pretty oily and that surprised me. It tasted more like food from a mall food court. I would suggest you order the fried rice with this meal. My wife had the Chicken and Shrimp (yeah, right) Pad Tai. It was good. I even walked to the back where the kitchen was and said, "hello." There was a guy there doing something and he did not acknowledge me. After waiting some more, we were almost to our car when the attendant opened the front door and shouted after us if we needed anything. At that point, we already made up our mind to leave.
