This error has not been corrected despite repeated notices and escalation to ownership. Current impact (not hypothetical -- already happened) I was issued a citation for driving an unregistered vehicle The Illinois Motor Vehicles Department refused registration due to incorrect title/assignment I am now facing court exposure, penalties, and inability to legally operate the vehicle This harm is directly caused by dealership documentation failure and delay in correction. He told me he lived across from Road Ranger in Dubuque. My girlfriend and I got there and realized the car was actually for sale at this dealership. Overall the car, a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant, looked good. We took it for a test drive and it seemed like the transmission was shifting very hard. We got back to the dealership and I told Randy overall we liked the car but we were in the process of moving 1000 miles away so I would feel way more comfortable if he would let us take the car to get a used car inspection. He tried getting me to take it to "his" guy down the street, but I said no that I wanted to take it to the Mitsubishi dealership in town. He eventually said that was OK and I said I would be back closer to the appointment time. Well about an hour before the appointment Randy called me and said after thinking about it for a while he didn't feel "comfortable" with me taking it to the factory dealership. He spouted off something about a bad experience with getting keys made or something. He then tried getting me to take it to "his" guy. I said no I refuse to take it there that I need to take it to a place that I decide on. Well he flat out said no and that was that. If I were you I would avoid Randy's Auto Plaza at all costs. If he believed in the vehicles he sold he would let you take the car anywhere for a used car inspection.
