We have been to this location a few times, and their service is consistently horrible. We keep giving them the benefit of the doubt, hoping it will improve, but I think this might be our last visit. It should not take 3 hours to turn a meal with 2 adults and a child. Came to Great Maple for dinner on a Wednesday night because a friend gave us a gift card. The restaurant was fairly busy, so we waited around 30 minutes. We told the hostess that we were a party of 3, 2 adults and a toddler who would need a high chair. When we were seated, it was at a booth in the middle of the restaurant with no high chair. We waited about 10 minutes before the manager (not waiter) came over to take our drink order, this is when we asked for a booster seat (which he did bring, so that was nice). Our drinks arrived about 20 minutes after we sat down (no water, only alcohol), but our actual waiter had not been to our table yet. After 35 minutes, we flagged someone down to come to our table and take our order. We ordered the mushroom fries appetizer, lemon shrimp pasta, and Cobb wedge. 45 minutes passed and we had not even gotten our appetizer. After an hour and a half, our mains came (pasta and salad), however, we still didn't get our mushroom fries. We asked the waiter and he said they take longer to cook, which seems to defeat the point of an appetizer. Another 20 minutes after our main dishes arrived, our mushroom fries were brought. At the 2 hour mark, we had just started eating our food. Mind you, we have a 1.5yr old with us, and if you're a parent - you know it can be hard for them to sit that long. After about 20 minutes, we try to order the seasonal donuts, which were Apple pie. We flag our waiter down and order the donuts, which took another 30 minutes to arrive. Once they arrived, the donuts were stale and the apples were cold. We got the bill and told the waiter we had a gift card, which he immediately shut down and said they didn't have the system to process. After clarifying it was a Great Maple gift card and not a Disney gift card, he accepted it - but wow, can you at least look at it before assuming? This brings our total restaurant experience to 3 hours. We barely made it out before our validation was up. This location seems to have a major problem with their table turns and service. It's too bad because the food is quite good (the only reason I'm giving 2 stars), but I don't think I can put my family through this again. read more

I love that there's more options in/by the parks. BUT, I've been twice and both times service was suffering. As in it took forever for a server to even acknowledge us. One of the times, she went to a table that sat way after us first. Then when you do get to order, you wait a long time for anything to show up. I'm TRYING to give you my husband's money. I try to be very patient especially to those in the restaurant industry. Is the portobello mushroom good enough for me to come back for the ehh service? On top of that, it's not cheap. Which if anyone knows me, I do not care what it cost. I had the ribeye hash and I felt like the meat was dry, the egg overcooked and not runny. The Great Maple is a tasty restaurant tucked within the Pixar Hotel at Disneyland resort. The service IS slow; just as a heads up. - The staff is friendly yet exhausted. Fortunately the food is good and better than what you might think. We reserved at the Great Maple during a busy Saturday lunch/dinner and still had a wait time, of 30 minutes, even if we arrived at the hour we were assigned. So that was a little disappointing.. Overall, it's a nice place to eat if you aren't sure what else to eat at Disneyland --and still want something nicer than a corndog. The food here is good! I wouldn't write home about it but it's nicely prepared and tasty. Tip your hard working waiter/tress if it's a super busy day. They were so tired looking. One less star mostly because --we watched a table with a hungry family sit and wait for a while before their drinks were even served. Yikes. I loved the ambience of the place. Secondly, the Chilaquiles were on point and easily the best of the meal. Unfortunately, this is where it ends for us. I got the Smoked Bacon Scramble which was a huge disappointment. The scramble itself was extremely mediocre, and came with potatoes au gratin...which is kinda weird to be eating for brunch imo. Taste, and looked nowhere near a $23 meal. The Benedict came with biscuits, which were dry and overdone, but the ham was fine. What really boggled my mind, was my wife ordered a side of bacon which was pretty good bacon. Fairly thick slices....however a side of bacon cost a whopping $9 for 3 pieces! I guess bad on us for not looking at that beforehand, but $9 for a side of bacon is one of the most ridiculous things I've seen at a restaurant. Our server, while nice, was also surprisingly not attentive at all. She only came to our table maybe 3 times total including to take our order. The bill came, and was over $90+ (over $100+ with tip) for the three plates pictured, as well as one side of bacon & one coffee. You be the judge of what you want to spend your money on, but as for me this was nowhere near a $100+ meal. Overall, likely won't return here on my own accord. If someone else wants to go, sure I'll join and try something different. But I won't go out of my way to go back here, specifically for breakfast/brunch when there are much better options for the same, if not better pricing. read more

Mother's Day Brunch! The parking was easy as the structure was located right behind the hotel and they offer 3 hour complimentary parking. We arrived for 10:15 am reservations, however, were not seated until 10:30 as it was a busy holiday. For appetizers, it was my first time trying portobello mushroom fries which were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Main dishes selected included buttermilk pancakes, fried chicken & doughnuts, chilaquiles, and ribeye melt. I really enjoyed the presentation of the chicken & doughnuts but even more so loved the ribeye melt! The staff was right on point considering how busy it was. Made reservations on a Sunday for brunch at Great Maple located at the Pixar Place Hotel in the Disneyland Resort. Surprisingly even with many timeslots available they seemed very busy. The restaurant itself isn't too large and has somewhat low ceilings giving it a smaller feel. Our server Raul was very friendly and nice. As for the food, we ordered the grilled chicken bowl which came with half an avocado, brussel sprouts, onions, mushrooms and it was a little pricy at $30 for what you get. Making reservations here is super easy through OpenTable, which I completely appreciate considering most breakfast or brunch places will not take any form of reservation. Service with the hosts was good, but our waiter and surrounding waiters (two males - one in his 20s and another maybe in his 40s) treated us like an inconvenience and all of us at the table felt the vibe in the air. To make matters worse they messed up one of our orders and blamed us claiming we had ordered that when we clearly did not and had been pointing at the menu as we placed our orders to ensure he (our main waiter the 20 something) heard us right. And, when you arrive at the restaurant, two sweet ladies will help you to be seated. While you're waiting, you can spend some time looking at the menu at the entrance. The ambient is spectacular. It feels like you're inside of a restaurant and a back yard all at the same time. The fresh flowers, unique lights and green plants all around you give such a magical touch. Of course, the food is the highlight of this place. By the server's recommendation, I ordered lavender lemonade to start with. The aroma of the lavender spreads gently when you take a sip of the lemonade, which was very pleasant. For the entree, I ordered chicken and maple bacon donuts, butter pancakes and ribeye sandwich since they were the signature dishes and they all were a home run. Especially, I loved the idea that they had their famous maple bacon donuts instead of waffles with the chicken. If you want something fresh and new, but not so busy like the other Disneyland restaurants, this a great place to try. We LOVED our waitress that we had for lunch. Finally was able to try this new spot! I was eager to see the changes after always having brunch at PCH Grill. It was really modern and chic. The art on the wall is super cute and unique making Disney characters look so mysterious ahah. Service was great and very attentive and kind! My first experience with Great Maple was at a location in San Diego a few years ago, it was so memorable that I just wished they might find their way to Florida! So when I heard about the Anaheim location opening a couple weeks before my Disneyland trip there was no question where I would be having breakfast. The dining room was very open and modern. Menu just right for theme park hotel with just the right amount of options. I had a latte which was perfect. No trip to Great Maple would be complete without the Maple bacon donuts, one order comes with 3 donuts which are plenty for 4 maybe 5 people. I was a huge fan of great maple for the short period of time they were open at the Del Amo mall in Torrance. I was sad to see them close, but happy to see a location open on the Disney property. We had Christmas breakfast there last year. The service was incredible, the food was as good as I had remembered and the decor was terrific. What an incredible addition to the Disney property. Disney Paradise hotel offers free parking with validation up to three hours. However, be aware if you go with a large party, you'll probably exceed that time period. There were many employees but whenever we needed something, they seemed to be elsewhere. We asked for napkins and straws but ended up going to the bar area and grabbing them ourselves. We asked for a cup of ice with our water and got it at the end of our meal. It took awhile for the food to come out but they forgot one and we had to remind them multiple times to check, which took even longer. French Toast Logs were very yummy. Strong maple syrup and cinnamon flavor, with five blueberries on the side. The logs were chunky and easily shareable. Both the Lemon shrimp pasta and turkey bolognese pasta were very delicious. They did not skimp out on the shrimp toppings and the noodles were cooked perfectly as well. I tried the turkey bolognese at their Newport location and both times I left full and satisfied. I would recommend trying any of the pastas. Parmesan truffle fries were salty, trufflely, and crunchy and the Shrimp Biscuit benedict was very flavorful. First, I made the RSVP on the Disneyland app and checked in 15mins before the rsvp time but instead of getting a text to let me know my table was ready, the hostess was calling my name from the front desk! It's a good thing I was in the area to hear it. We were seated in a booth near the front of the restaurant and the table was extremely close to the seats so it might be a tight fit for some. Next the food, we ordered the Liquid Patience and Great Maple Mule. I was kinda disappointed to find out that these cocktails are premixed after sitting near the full bar. The drinks were just ok, just tasting like juice to go with your brunch. Then we ordered the Steak and Eggs and Fried fish sandwich. I ordered my steak medium and it definitely came out well-done, I would not nitpick unless the dish wasn't a hefty $40. The sandwich was ok. We ended the meal with the seasonal lemon blueberry donut and it was huge and crispy on the outside and soft inside. The total was $140 with tip. Finally, Great Maple is not owned by Disney but the app and other reviews say they take the 10% Magic Key discount. I was told that they only do on Weekdays.. I won't be back. read more

We loved our first visit to Great Maple in Anaheim. We've been to Pasadena and Newport Beach and while there a few growing pains still being worked out on service, the food is still delicious. Don was our fantastic server. He was cordial, engaging, and attentive. The only downside we saw was the cocktail service and the meal wrap up. The cocktail wifey ordered, a cucumber gimlet, arrived mid-meal. I got my lemonade promptly so imagine this has to be on the bar, not the server. At the end of the meal, it took a little bit to get the check, but we could see he was bussing three tables and delivering checks all at the same time. We ordered the ribeye melt with fries and the Cobb wedge salad. The ribeye melt was delicious and the meat was perfectly tender and tasty. The fries were slightly stale. The Cobb wedge was good with lots of chicken, bacon, and blue cheese--I think the GM Chopped I had last time at Fashion Island was better. Being Disney fans, we really appreciate what Great Maple has done with the old PCH Grill space.
