Açaí Bowl

I've only had breakfast items here during a recent weekend stay at the Marriott and everything was delicious! I was bum initially because there was no breakfast buffet offer at this hotel, but this is waaaaay better! The price is very decent for a hotel stay as well and the presentation of the food is beautiful. I got to try the BEST acai bowl, the delicious avocado toast, and hubby even ordered the Bistro Breakfast sandwich 2x! They do offered Starbucks coffee but only dark roast. I wish they would have the regular blond roast, because the Kerig coffee in our room was bleh. I would stay at this Marriott again because of this Bistro!

The Starbucks is limited, but they made my tricky drinks as requested. As for the Bistro: the breakfasts are good... Crispy bacon and fluffy eggs. The salads and soup also great price and loaded with toppings. During our dinner, the manager Edgar checked on us twice and was smiling. The chef "Ez" (Ezekiel) was quick and even refilled our water without asking. They are on top of things and very customer service oriented. Great experience.

Avo toast = healthy + yummy!

They sell stale old food here. Asked for a fresher bagel so she took one out of the same package and toasted it. Gee thanks.

We had such a great experience at K&A Cafe! My daughter ordered the fruit salad with yogurt, and…read morethe yogurt was house-made -- she absolutely loved it. It was fresh and delicious. My husband had the breakfast burrito and said it was amazing. He liked it so much he even went home with a 24 oz container of their house-made red salsa, which was incredible. The customer service was outstanding. Art was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely engaged with us while we were there. You can tell they really care about their customers and the food they serve. We'll definitely be coming back from Bakersfield!

I paid $17.54 for a biscuit with egg, cheese, turkey sausage, and a black iced coffee. The biscuit was decent, but fairly small, and nothing about the sandwich felt premium enough to justify the price. The turkey sausage tasted like a standard pre-made sausage, and if there was a significant upcharge for choosing turkey, it didn't feel warranted. The coffee was fine. It was a basic black iced coffee, good enough, but not something that stood out or justified a premium price. My biggest issue is the value. Nearly $18 for a simple breakfast sandwich and a plain black iced coffee feels excessive for what was served. I've also noticed that the total seems to vary from visit to visit, making it difficult to know what to expect when ordering. I genuinely like the people who work here and wish them success. This review isn't about the staff. For me, it's simply a matter of price versus value, and I can no longer justify spending this much for a basic breakfast and coffee. Biscuit: 7/10 Coffee: 7/10 Overall value: 3/10

Everything we tried was good, especially the French toast. Honestly, the food looked even better in person than in the pictures. The restaurant itself is pretty big, bright, and airy, not dark or dingy at all. It has a very family-friendly atmosphere and definitely feels like a great spot to bring kids and enjoy breakfast with family. Our waitress, Carla, was very pleasant and gave really good service. If I had one small criticism, it would probably be the coffee. I'm big on coffee, so I personally would've liked a stronger coffee flavor. I also wasn't a huge fan of the iced coffee latte drink, but that's just my personal taste. Overall though, we really enjoyed our visit. This was our first time here and we'll definitely be going back.

The hostesses and servers are very nice, but getting the food to the table is the BIG fail. The kitchen needs to be reevaluated and management needs to step up if they care. LOVE the wait times and capability of getting on the wait list via call to restaurant or online or thru YELP. I hope they can improve the food service part. - my fav The MonteCristo

First time here, and I'm already a fan! There was already a line when got there (on a weekday), but…read morethat's to be expected. Thankfully, the line moved pretty quickly, although the bakery itself is small and can feel a bit tight inside. I got a small assortment of pastries, including the Japanini and some of their popular items: the Salt & Butter Roll, Curry Pan, and Kobo Kuma. Everything was warm, fresh, and delicious. I honestly wish I had gotten more. My kids enjoyed everything too. The only item that was a bit disappointing was the Sea Salt Taro Latte. It was a little too milky and sweet for my taste. I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more items from their delicious menu!
