I won't take my cars anywhere else. Every single time I've come here the guys have been courteous, professional and transparent about their services. I feel they are honest, capable and diligent in their business practices and have never had to return a second time to get something fixed again that wasn't done right. As an example, one time I had gotten my oil changed and asked about a squeaky door that sounded like metal grinding and pooping when I opened it all the way. Fearing the worst (replacement parts or body damage), I asked Steve about it as I was leaving. He took the time to walk out into the parking lot, inspect it and go get some good old WD40. He showed me inside the hinges what was happening and how to keep it serviced. I was appreciative and educated. No charge, just helping a brotha out. This is typical service here. TIP: This location offers a courtesy top-off service for fluids, which is a generous and thoughtful way to keep customers like myself feeling valued. I've never been given the stank eye or a long sigh when I stop by just for that. Just a smile. Both my son and I brought our cars here for emissions tests. We both waited well over an hour for a test that takes 5 minutes. 2 customers that came in well after me were taken care of before me. Sat at this location for 45 minutes. I was next in line. Finally got out and asked how long and the girl said 45 minutes. I told her that I had been there that long already and she said sorry we only have 2 people. When I watched them for that 45 minutes one seemed to be working on his own vehicle and the girl was shuffling around real slow and gave no indication to me that there would be a longer wait when I pulled in. I have been a customer there since the first owner and have never been treated that way. I finally left and went somewhere else. Will never go there again! Terrible service! read more

I usually like going here because, they normally do a good job but, this last time I had my oil change, they wanted to charge me $80!!!! I normally pay $49....I asked why so much n they said because, they had to use synthetic oil. I thought...hum...don't most cars use synthetic oil since it's better for your car? I noticed on the paper work that I had refused vacuuming of my car...I was not asked anything! I am so disappointed because, usually I get pretty good service. Brought my Nissan truck in to have AC compressor changed as the clutch was squeeling when turned on. After it quit squeeling the AC worked fine and kept us cool. They changed the unit and somehow clogged the coil on the cooling of the AC. They then said the could not fix it and I would have to take elsewhere to have repaired. I took it to Nissan Dealer and had to pay for a new Coil at the cost of almost 2 thousand dollars. I am taking them to small claims court. Would never recommend them for anything. Funny, I had spent alot of Money there earlier on repairs, emmissions. Yet, that did not matter. read more

This is my go to shop and I am so thankful for their existence. I can't speak to the other services that they offer, but I have gotten my oil changed here on a few different occasions and it has always been easy. I have had horrible experiences with other chains over the years. From aggressive upselling to abject deceit. (i.e being told I needed my coolant replaced when it was next to full) yeah....that was highly unpleasant. I like this place because they are efficient, competitively priced, and never once have they made me feel inadequate because I only have basic knowledge of my vehicle. I definitely have enough to make informed decisions, and above all else I enjoy being treated like I am competent. On top of all else they do well, they are usually very quick. And while I don't doubt it occurs, they have never tried to sell me on extra services. I make the drive out here, despite it not being close to home, because above all else, they are respectful. read more

We used to go to this place for all our car needs when it was Express Lube and they were awesome. We've tried to continue to go there now that it is Grease Monkey but it's not possible anymore. My husband went there to get an emissions test on our car. He was there early on Saturday morning with no one waiting in line. The guy told him to pull around the back and stay in the car and he would be right there. My husband did as he was told and waited in the car.....for 1 HOUR watching all the other cars come and go as they got their oil changed. He finally said something to someone and they told him he needed to get out of his car and go inside before they would help him. He told them the first guy told him to stay in his car! They were unkind and ignorant so my husband left without getting the emissions test. We will NEVER go back to this place! read more

I was visiting from out of state and in need of getting a car we bought for our daughter a safety inspection. The manager explained that they were in the middle of changing their computer system and was not able to give me an official safety inspection that day. As I needed reassurance that the used car we purchased was safe for my daughter to take to college, he told me to bring it by and he'd have his mechanic look at it and do a hand written report. The mechanic looked over the car for 30 minutes and topped off all of the vehicle's fluids. He assured me it was a good purchase and gave me the handwritten report. They sent me on my way and did not accept payment! They did it free of charge as their normal system was down. We will be back. My daughter will now go there regularly for oil changes. I did leave a bad review a couple of years ago...I m don't know what they have changed but they were fabulous...I drove up and they were very busy...but did tell me a wait time which I appreciated ...I expected an hour so sauntered over time mc d's and took my time came back under the hour my car was ready,vacuumed and good to go they also changed where you pay so you're not in the shop ...I had no problem bringing my own filter and a coupon it was cheaper than I thought and they couldn't have been nicer ...no sales pitch for extra service which I dread ...will be back and recommend people to go back if it's been a while...way to go !!! read more

Honestly, these guys are the best. Their manager, Carey, is a stand up guy, the team is friendly and professional, and I have never left regretting getting a service done here. They're not messing around in the shop keeping you waiting, the car comes out clean, and they treat everything of yours like it's theirs. I have driven from all parts of the valley, county, state back to this specific shop because I don't like any other more than this one. I have to recommend it to all persons in need of car servicing. Especially oil. *I've had -My oil done here on countless occasions. -The filters done only a handful of times. -My brakes replaced here as well (I brought my own parts but that voids their warranty. Just a word of caution about the Grease Monkey. I pulled in to 5 people sitting inside the bays and only one car in the bay. After waiting for 5 minutes I walked inside the office. No one was there. I walked back out to my car, waited another few minutes and was finally greeted by girl (maybe 17 to 20). She asked what kind of oil I wanted and I told her whatever was recommended for the car (I was servicing my mom's car for her, and am unfamiliar with the factory requirements). she rolled her eyes at my naïveté (how dare I rely on the company whose entire purpose is to change oil). As she walked back inside, she called me a dumb ass. She then started guiding me into the bay. I was apparently not straight, but instead of just signaling for a stop, she starting yelling and cursing at me. I rolled down the window and was again called a dumb ass, so I told her I would take my business elsewhere. As I drove away, the group of workers all laughed, yelled, and swore at me. read more

If you just want an oil change, you will have a decent experience. Beware, however, of their fairly new brake replacement service! They put the cheapest shoes on and as I drove my Subaru home and around a bit the same day, the brakes were not repaired! I telephoned the shop the next morning to report what i was hearing with the brakes and, Steve, who I believe is the manager of this Express Lube (Sandy) was extremely rude, claimed he was too busy for me to bring my Subaru back in for them to check it out! I was extremely concerned with the safety of driving my vehicle, so ended up taking it elsewhere. Note: Posted on the wall in the waiting room, is their guarantee for their brake work. It's a lube and oil place. They change your oil and filter. They attempt to upsale other services that you may out may not need but don't make you feel like a schmuck if you don't take the bait. They're fair. They'll give you their current offer even if you don't have a coupon. They seem well staffed and you don't have to wait forever. Their core staff have been there for several years. I feel like an important customer when I'm here - service is great. That being said, after my second most recent oil change here, I noticed a drop or two of fresh oil on my garage floor. This was unusual as there had never been oil on my garage floor before. My car is "newer" and there should be no reason for it to leak. It continued for some time. I didn't do anything about it until I needed an oil change so I asked the folks at Fabulous Freddy's what was leaking under there. They said something about the oil pan gasket but it didn't look like anything else was leaking. The moral of the story is that since the Fabulous Freddy's oil change, there has been no leak. My hypothesis is that the filter or plug wasn't installed correctly after my oil change here. Something that I could have easily remedied by going back. The oil stain on my garage floor is mostly invisible now but the annoyance still lingers. There's not much annoyance and should the stars align just right, I'd go back. But I probably won't. You get big discounts when you lube/oil/filter and car wash at Freddy's. I like the one-stop shopping. I've got plenty of time but I use it poorly so having to have something done again is too much to ask of me. I'm certain Havoline would have made it right with me, I just preferred to choose annoyance and change of venue. read more

Got my safety and emissions done here, they were impressively quick and efficient. Well staffed, I didn't have to wait to get in. I just dropped it off and walked over to Great Clips to get a haircut. By the time I was done they were done. They take competitor's coupons which is very nice. I got safety and emission with the sticker for $23.99 with the coupon I found online. Normally it's $57.99 with the sticker! I just paid my taxes online right there on the spot and got my sticker in hand. No waiting. Not sure about anything else but I was impressed by this place! read more
