I needed a high mileage synthetic oil change, but I asked them to check the front suspension as well because there were some noises going on while driving. The oil change was fairly quick since there was only one person in the lobby around 10:40 AM on a Thursday. Synthetic oil change was more expensive, but they seem to be around the same rate as other shops around them. They also said the suspension was fine. Nothing to be concerned about. -Full Service Synthetic $86.99 -Full Synthetic 5W20 5.9 gal $11.66 -High Performance Oil Filter $3 They also have a checklist that they provide as well while checking your oil. If I could give this company 0 stars, I would!!! This company is a joke and the employees and owners are idiots! They don't listen to what you say. They don't own up to their mistakes. They procrastinate and don't follow through on what they say. And they definitely don't do their job professionally. I was in process of buying a used vehicle. I brought it to them to check it all over to make sure I knew what I was buying, to see if there were any issues I should know about for now or later before I bought it. I was surprised to hear it would take them 20 minutes to check over everything, but I'm not a mechanic so what do I know. Little did I know they didn't listen to a word I said and instead of checking it over, they did a Utah safety check on this vehicle, which had out of state plates. The safety check said everything passed and the vehicle is safe to drive. When I asked if anything needed to be fixed, I was told it all looked great with no issues. I bought this vehicle and drove it one day then decided to check the fluids, which this company was supposed to do. I found the power steering fluid and the coolant containers were both empty. I'm thinking, wtf because they just checked it the day before and said everything's good, no leaks of any kind. That wasn't true at all. I almost went off the road when it was raining because the tires were bald and cupping, that was never in the report. The tread shouldn't have passed the safety inspection, but it did because they took the best tire measurement and said these tires were safe to drive on. Not true, even the state policeman of the safety department said they are not safe to drive like that. Next, the brakes, rotors, pads, struts, shocks, calipers, tie rods, rack and pinion all need major repair, like around $4000, which they gladly forgot to tell me. That's on top of another $1000 for tires. When I discovered all this, I called and talked to the idiot called Greg. He told me to get an estimate from a different company because the estimate I had from Les Schwab wasn't going to work. He and his employees bad mouthed their competitor to me, which is very unprofessional! I got several estimates, which all told me this vehicle is NOT safe to drive as is and I need to repair it ASAP. I had to call every few days to get answers from this company because Travis said Alex would call me and he never did, then Alex said he would talk to Greg and call me back and he never did. All I'm asking for is that they make it right, which they are unwilling to do, so that is why I'm writing this review. I'm keeping as calm as I can be, I would rather use some foul language for these men who seem to never listen to what a woman says. Now the problem falls on my head or on my pocketbook. The kicker is that Greg told me that I should've looked at the tires myself to know that I needed new ones. Ahhh, duhhhh, I thought I paid your company to check it all over for me?????????????????????? And yes, they legally did their job on the safety check, even though they know how to pass a vehicle that shouldn't be passed. And no, they were not willing to work with me or follow up with me or even take the blame for their mistakes. None of this matters, but I do hope karma finds them well. Amy Yelk read more

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I were driving across the country to get to college and were on day 7 of the trip when a piece of plastic on the bottom of the car started hanging off and scraping against the ground. We ended up here from reading the great reviews, and we couldn't have been more impressed. Everybody in the shop was beyond kind and helpful, and the job took them only a few minutes. I just needed an oil change but went to so many shops that were both busy AND rude. Additionally, as a woman, it can be daunting to find an auto shop that isn't condescending, creepy, or scammy. These guys threw all of that out the window! They helped me immediately, and they were friendly, casual, helpful, and respectful. The oil change was not pricey and they did a lot of extra services with no charge and did not try to manipulate me into more unnecessary repairs. They also had a much nicer waiting room than I am used to and even had a place for kids to play! Back shop is the best! They are open on weekends and evenings which is so convenient for those of us working 8-5. I have very little knowledge about cars and this has been taken advantage of in the past. However, at back shop this is not the case. I always feel like I'm in good hands whenever I take my car in. They have helped me with broken windshield wipers, oil changes, emissions tests , etc. It honestly feels like I'm going to family whenever I come here. I have never left a review before, but after my horrible experience at Back Shop Auto I feel it is my civic duty to leave one and hopefully prevent others from having a similarly terrible experience. I needed my brake pads and rotors replaced, and this shop gets good reviews so I expected them to do honest, high quality work. Boy was I wrong! While replacing the pads and rotors they damaged one of the hoses, resulting in the caliper not releasing properly, which was obvious due to the intense heat and the smell of burning brake pads. Disappointing, but everyone makes mistakes. However, the horrible experience is what happened when I took it back in. I went back on a Saturday and they looked it over, had me drive it around to get the brakes hot, and told me what they thought the problem was (that their tech had damaged the hose while replacing the pads and rotors, which turned out to be correct). They told me to bring it back Monday and assured me they would fix their mistake. When I returned to pick up the vehicle on Tuesday, the first big problem was that they tried to charge me for the warranty work to fix the damage their own mechanic had caused to my vehicle. They relented on this after some pushback, but the experience only got worse from there. The truly disgusting part of my experience with Back Shop Auto was what came next: they charged me $20 for fuel that they never put in the vehicle, and when I discovered they had done so, they lied to me and refused to refund the fraudulent charge. They told me they had to put fuel in because they "drove it a lot, all over the place" to make sure the problem was fixed. Sounds reasonable, except the low fuel warning was on when I started the truck -- strange since they claimed to have put 5.5 gallons in. I drove straight to Costco and put 34.5 gallons in a 36 gallon tank, which meant it had only 1.5 gallons in the tank when I picked it up from the shop. My next thought was that they drove it on the world's longest test drive, so I checked the invoice. Nope! They only drove it fifteen miles in total. I immediately drove back, expecting them to apologize and refund what I naively assumed was an accidental charge, as any honest shop would. Not Back Shop Auto! The man at the counter called the owner, Alex, who flat out refused to refund the charge and doubled down on the lie that they had put fuel in. I explained the mathematical impossibility of adding 5.5 gallons into a not-empty tank, driving it only 15 miles, and having just 1.5 gallons left in the tank. Still, he refused to provide a refund. I asked to see the receipt from when they paid for the gas and he refused. I recommend Back Shop Auto to anyone who enjoys going back to the same mechanic over and over again, not because you like them but because you're forced to so they can fix their own shoddy work. I recommend Back Shop Auto to anyone who enjoys having their vehicle damaged by a mechanic, and loves paying them extra to fix the damage they caused. I especially recommend Back Shop Auto to anyone who has way too much money and would like to have less, because Back Shop Auto will take your money and give you absolutely nothing in return! In all seriousness, avoid this place like the plague. $20 isn't a ton of money, but if they are willing to charge $20 for fuel they didn't actually put in the vehicle, where else are they cutting corners? What other work are they charging you for but not actually performing? Are you willing to risk your car's health and your family's safety? I'm not, which is why I will never again let Back Shop Auto touch my vehicle. read more

They didn't have anymore in stock but he ran across the street to get one to install in my car. I thought that was above and beyond and I really appreciated the fact that he did that. I went here for an oil change, because I am so tired of the way I'm treated at places like Jiffy Lube. I was very impressed with the service and value I received here. It was just as quick as anywhere else I've been, and there was definitely less pressure. They did my oil chance, scanned my vehicle since it had warning lights on it and vacuumed my car, all in the time it'd have taken someone else to just do the oil change -- and there was no hassle with, "do you want to buy this or this?" It was slightly more than other oil changes, but I'll pay for better service with knowledgeable people who are very friendly. They walked me through everything and explained anything I didn't know. Usually my hubby will take our car to a friend's shop, but it closed recently. So we were noobs on not scheduling an appointment for a mechanic. Drove up to an open bay on Friday 8/5 around 10:30am for an oil change. They pulled me right in and a team of service people went to work. They offered options on oil grade. They showed me my air & stated it was good for another round. On the reciept it shows they completed a 20 or so item checklist list. I watched as they cleaned & vacumed and checked pressures & levels throughout. No pressure & very informative.
