This was literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They stripped the drain plug in my oil pan and used the wrong oil. When I went back to get those isues fixed, the manager immediately argued that they didn't strip the drain plug without even looking at it, and that it was my fault that they didn't use the correct oil because I didn't specifically ask for it.
I said that they should have asked before downgrading to a lower quality oil, and I could show him in the manual where it specified the correct oil type. He said that he could tell I was getting emotional and they could take care of it. He then took the keys out of my hands and said that I would have to pay for the upgrade in oil (which I wouldn't have minded if he wasn't being such a jerk), and that they did nothing wrong.
I asked for my keys back and he followed me to my car, continuing to harrass me. I told him that he was rude and condescending. I stated that I wasn't "getting emotional" - that they had messed up and refused to take any responsibility for it. He called me a bitch and said that I must have a really bad life.
UPDATE: just to be clear regarding the response from OilStop, I did not have heightened emotions before entering the store. The first words out of the manager's mouth when I brought up my concerns were "The drain plug isn't stripped. Who told you that, Walmart?" He was condescending and confrontational from the beginning. That is not how people should ever be treated, and especially not in a business setting.
The worker who I first spoke to at the register first was actually very nice. He said that they would fix it, and problems only started when I said I would need to know the cost up front. That's when the manager was brought in and the problems started. read more
