I drove (key word: drove) my vehicle to Brody's. After sitting in the shop for three hours and agreeing to purchase a new part because the mechanic assured me it was necessary, I was told that my vehicle "might" work better. Lo and behold, my vehicle didn't work. Insult to injury, the mechanic offered to buy my vehicle for approximately the cost I had just paid to them (which, of course, they didn't offer to refund). In short: Car was operating (albeit poorly) when I arrived, car wouldn't start when I wanted to leave, and the mechanic offered to buy it from me "as a favor." Y'all do the math. read more

I was really surprised to read all the negative reviews for this place. I have taken my car(s) here SEVERAL times and had great experiences each time. One time we had a leak in our truck and thought that it would need a whole new hose. Turns out that the clamp to hold the hose on had rust off. They replaced the clamp and sent us on our way without even charging us. Another time I went in to get new breaks because mine were making a terrible sound. They took a look and said that the break pads were just dirty, they cleaned them up and sent us on our way without charging us again. Each time I have gone in a young women (by myself), not knowing much about cars. They could easily monopolize on that, but haven't. I would highly recommend Brody's! read more

Unfortunately, I did not learn the first time and I went to this shop several times out of convenience of location, however, I never felt like a valued customer treated with respect, and never left the shop feeling satisfied with the work or confident in a the job done. I frequently had to make return trips for continued service on incomplete jobs and overall am extremely frustrated with the time and money I have put into this shop and the still only partially functioning vehicle I am left with. I've taken my vehicles here for a number of small issues, such as a flat repair, alignment, etc. I would say I've probably been in here 4-5 times. Each time the service has been OK and the work has seemed to be OK as well. They are pretty close to my home so it's easy to stop by there and they have given me a ride home a few times as well. I would say they are good for small service jobs cause that is all I've experienced, but not sure about the bigger stuff yet. read more

After being quoted $2000 and a week to repair to fix an oil leak in my 2003 Expedition by the Ford store in Sandy, I decided to get another quote. On recommendations from friends and relatives, I took my SUV to Brody's. Dropped the vehicle off at closing time Saturday and was told they would check it out Monday. By 9:00 AM Monday they called with a price to repair of $442. Gave the go ahead and picked the car up later that day. $2000 at the Ford dealership and $442 at Brady's for the exact same repair!!! I discovered Brody's Car Care Center when I moved to Sandy in 2013. I have always received great service with honest feedback on what the cause of the issue(s) I was having with my 14 year old car. I just had four new tires installed with front and back alignments. Their total prices was just over $500 less than three well known tire shops. All the tires I priced were made by the same company and rated for the same weather and miles. As a retired military man I need to get the best bang for my buck and Brody's has delivered that time and again. read more

I called Brody's and they offered to have me come in right away and for them to check what was wrong for free. It ended up only being spark plugs and saved me soooo much money. I have used this provider for about 3 years. They were recommended by my Father, but he must have had much better experiences than me. I kept going because they always responded to the several issues that kept coming up with their work and I also figured they were as good as it gets in the mechanic world. Finally after trying to get a coolant leaked fixed 4 times and spending differing amounts of money each visit with no results, we sought work at another service provider where they discovered a leaking water pump that "must have been leaking for a while". The other service center also found a leaking CV boot (which had recently been replaced by Brody's), and a few other items that were wrong with the car. Though the price always seemed fair for each instance, I am giving them a D because of the multiple times I had to return the vehicles and the "nickel and dime" effect it had on my wallet while never actually receiving the proper repairs. My car is now running better than it ever has in the time that I have owned it, no thanks to Brody's. Bottom line is if you want to return your vehicle multiple times and never really get the quality work you expect, then use Brody's. If you want your vehicle fixed right the first time and at reasonable cost, take it somewhere else. We will not ever again use Brody's, nor will we recommend them to anyone again. I have lost too much money to their operations and low quality work and my vehicles never worked like they should after Brody's touched them. read more

Went in for emissions and inspection. Fixed a non-defective part that was supplied by me and was a dirty wire connector. Yay, saved me like 500 bucks. BUT, went to get it safety inspected and he failed me due to too dark of tint. He didnt have a light meter to test the tint only by looking at it. He said either rip out the tint or it fails. I removed it got my registration sticker i left. Went to a tint company down the street and they said he was smoking crack cocaine because it was legal tint. Then as I am driving home my a/c starts to blow warm then cold then warm. I call and describe what was happening and he said that they didnt touch the a/c. they are the only shop to work on that truck and the a/c was fine before coming in today. His answer was maybe its time has come and you need a new compressor. These are shyster b*tches. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

Stay away from them, I took In my truck for a simple diagnostic and they decided for them selves to pull spark plugs and begin changing them without my authorization. When I told them I wasn't happy about it because they hadn't said anything to me I got told that I had asked them to do it and that it wasn't their problem and that I'd have to pay for the work even though I hadn't asked for the work to have been done. They said that the issues my engine was having was because of the 2 spark plugs they had pulled out. Fast forward to a week later and the truck is still having the same issue, took it into a dealership and they said it was something totally different( they fixed the problem for free) and now the truck isn't having any issues! Highly recommend staying away from Brody's car care, don't let them steal money from you! read more

One issue was non existent prior to them working on it, other they could have delt with while they were making the repair. Don't go there! I have taken my car in 2 or 3 times and every time I go in they say I need more work done on it. I took in for brakes, they said I needed new struts also. The last straw was when my car was leaking anti freeze, they said I needed a new radiator. I Drove home and it was still leaking. I took it back and it turned out it was a crack in the hose. They even charged me for labor on the hose. That 15 dollar hose cost me 300 dollars! Do not trust your car with them. read more
