I started coming here to get my oil changed after jiffy lube near by had both longer wait times and a significant price hike. I usually don't have to wait more than 20 minutes for my car to be finished. The crew is always friendly and I don't have any complaints about the work. Occasional I have the pleasure of working with a staff member that clearly is a people person and is beyond nice and accommodating. That makes such difference and it's the reason I have no interest in returning to jiffy lube. They are less expensive than them too. Their waiting room doesn't offer tv or even an ability to get out of the heat or cold much. It's often decently cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Might be nice if they put a little more effort into making the wait, even if it is small, a bit more comfortable. Still can easily recommend this place. read more

Brought my car in for an oil change. They did the oil change completely fine. 20 minutes later after I brought the car home, I realized my entire skid plate had been undone and not brought back up. I took it back, they said it was fixed, 5 minutes later it was hitting the road again. The tech, while super nice, took it back and now I'm at home again with it even worse than before, with it dropping on the floor. I had the issue once before, but I fixed it myself and secured it myself. So, I know for a fact that my skid plate was secured and not hitting the floor before the service. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a safety and emissions check for this location and immediate headed in the same day. I pulled up to the bay and was greeted by a technician right away. He told me to go wait inside and they would be right with me. There were two other cars ahead of me, but I only waited about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, I failed the safety exam due to two lights being out. They were friendly and told me I had 15 days to replace the bulbs and come back for a re-check, which I did and was passed just fine. Overall, the service is very friendly and quick. I was so impressed by these employees! I needed a headlight replaced and other places I looked into were quoting me anywhere from $90-$110. They said it was because they had to access the headlight via my wheel well which is more labor intensive. I pull up to Grease Monkey and Lincoln had my headlight out and replaced before I could say boo! So fast. And, that isn't even the best part. The best part was they only charged me $21. Score! Had to stop in for an emissions check required by the DMV. I drove in and saw they were packed. Immediately, I figured I would be there for at least an hour. I wasn't there for even 30 minutes, and they got through everyone before me. They were so nice and efficient. Avoid this place like the plague. New ownership is awful. Twice in a row now after I've got my oil change my car leaked all over my garage and driveway. The second time I took it back in to repair (today) they accused me of lying and said I had taken my car somewhere else and they had messed with the oil plug (I haven't). Said my car was leaking prior to bringing it in (it wasn't). Said it was noted on my receipt that they wouldn't print up for me when I asked to see it. And when I insisted they print the receipt to show me the employee threatened to call the police for harassment and kicked me out. Unreal. I've never seen anything like it. I've been taking my car there for years because my relative owned it but I'll never be going back and rest assured I'll let everyone I know in Draper of the same. read more

I use to always go to this location. After our last two visits for an oil change, the last few months, I've decided to go somewhere else in the future. 1. The last two visits they did not turn of the alert for maintenance and I had to go back. Someone ran out to help me and left grease all over the inside door handle and steering wheel. 2. They forgot to put a mileage return sticker in my window a few months ago and this last time the mileage sticker is incorrect. 3. Now my car is leaking oil when it didn't beforeI went in. I'll be returning today to see if they can fix it. I will not be using their services again. I miss the day when they use to leave a rose on your dashboard and gave you a chocolate. I was so grateful because I could only go on my lunch break. The guys were friendly and helped explain things to me in a way I could understand. I usually take my car to Walmart for an oil change and I've always been super happy with their work AND their price. But I gave this place a try today because I was in the neighborhood, despite it costing more. The pros: they were super fast. They gave me a discount. And tokens for the nearby car wash. The cons? My 4 year old daughter needed to use the bathroom. I took her in there and had to clean the toilet seat off myself before she could use it. Yes. As gross as this is to say, there was poop on the seat. And the inside of the bowl was covered in poop as well. I've been in some completely nasty bathrooms in my life but this one takes the award for actually making me want to vomit. I'm a parent and poop and bodily fluids don't gross me out that bad. But this did. So the reason for the discount I mentioned? Because I happened to remark on the state of the bathroom to the kid ringing me up. He mentioned that he's been gone for a week and he usually cleans the bathroom. Really? So one worker alone is responsible for a sanitary bathroom? Sounds like terrible management. Which is just sad. I might have considered returning to Grease Monkey again but at least when I go to the restroom at Walmart it's not being neglected because of shoddy management. Worst service ever!!!! I called in advance to get my emissions test and renew my tags on my car. I called in advance to make sure that this is what they could do. After charging me $155, I was told that I would need to go to Jiffy Lube to get my sticker--the whole time thinking that I had paid my registration. How does an oil and lube cost $155? They then told me I would have to go to Jiffy Lube down the street and they would give me my sticker--again, the whole time believing that I had already paid the registration fee on my 2012 car. Jiffy Lube couldn't help me and I just feel used as I was lead to believe they DID have stickers otherwise I wouldn't have wasted my time. I have never been treated so badly. read more

Is it just me, or this what you think before you enter into any auto mechanic shop? "It's that same vibe that you get with any auto mechanic you've ever dealt with. Even though you're listening and nodding, in your head you're like "this guy is f*ckin' me big time". You just believe whatever they say: Mechanic: "Yeah we had to replace the roof on your car, it was starting to peel back. It resented the rest of the car, so we replaced that. Also, there was a tiny unicorn in your exhaust and he was jumping and poking holes in your exhaust, and he was sh*tting in your filters as well. So we had to get that out of there." Dane: "Wow, thank you very much. I did not know that there was a tiny mythological animal jumping around in there... that's very dangerous. Sh*tting in filters, no way. Especially with a road trip coming up, that's very dangerous. That little son of a b. How much is that? Seven thousand? I was going to suggest, I'd like to pay seven thousand'ish, I'd love to pay for that. I spent 40 bucks just so they would top off my transmission fluid...but they refused to put in any transmission fluid & still forced me to get an oil change!!!! I told them the only reason I came in was to top-off my transmission fluid but the manager said "we don't fill the fluid unless we can confirm its low" (they said I had no dipstick....ug). I told them I have had my car for years, and it's leaking fluid and I add 2 quarts per month, so I needed 2 quarts. I told the manager I would sign a waiver if needed (so they wouldn't take liability), but that I just needed the transmission fluid filled. I then requested to cancel my oil change (since the whole point was to top off my transmission fluid)..... They said, NO, we are already doing the oil change & you CAN'T cancel it. I then left & went to 4 different auto-parts, & hardware stores trying to get a funnel that would fit my transmission fluid line and I ended up having to make a funnel out of paper & fill it myself. I also had to go purchase more transmission fluid (even though I already paid Grease Monkey to top off my fluids). My radiator anti-freeze wasn't topped off either --- Now I'm wasting my time writing this review on yelp... I get no satisfaction for leaving a 1-star review, but I also get no satisfaction when I pay for something & don't get it. read more

Came in with a competitor coupon that their website said they would match. Wanted to use Grease Monkey instead of Jiffy Lube to support the local owner. Boy was I disappointed. They wouldnt match the coupon I had & said would cost extra for additional oil so it cost me 37$. The most i have ever paid to get my oil changed. Plus they didnt look at any of my fluid levels, vacuum, or look at tire pressure because i used a coupon. They also didn't offer the free carwash like they typically do. My wife took her car here for an oil change before we took a 2,500 mile road trip. About 5 hours into our road trip the next day her oil light came on so I checked the oil level and it was low. Then got under the car and saw that they cross threaded the oil drain plug, it was in complete crooked and leaking tons of oil. It was obvious that someone used an impact drill to put on the drain plug, or had no clue how to properly tighten a bolt. As if ruining our oil pan wasn't enough they also over torqued the oil filter cap to the point of cracking it, and it was on so tight that we needed a breaker bar and two men to take it off. All in all with having to constantly top off the oil on our road trip, and having to replace the oil drain pan and oil filter cap, an oil change from these guys cost us over $900. I would recommend saving about $800 and going literally anywhere else or doing it yourself. read more

I went in and had chance to talk to one of the mechanics named David, got nothing but respect for him, was nice helpful and communication was great. He told me that he was going to try to fit me in that day for a break pad fix because it was that bad, well I called to see when to bring it in because I figured they would be to busy that night, I explained this to there GM tyler and Instead of listening he goes off on how they don't do same days, I told him I already figured that and it's okay no one's mad and I said I just want to know when to get it in ( now Daved already had all my info) so instead of listening tyler still needs to through his authority and tell me I must of heard wrong as I'm telling him it's not big deal. instead of just "oh okay I appreciate you understanding that" he once again tells me I'm the GM and going off on tangent so I hung up, he calls back later saying oh I must have lost you and I said no I hung up because your tone with me was not expectable and I'd rather just work with David and he said he's busy and we don't want your business and hung up. So I go there hoping to talk to David and tell about Tyler. Get there and see both of them and I said dude why would you treat someone like that, he was like we aren't doing service with you and I said I don't want to talk to him but I had done business with David, at end of home tell me once again he was now the assistant GM he says there closed ,they weren't closed and he's threatening to call the cops, I said go for it, as Daved try tell his GM that he had it handled but Tyler dosnt listen not only to his customers but also to his own employees. But the last thing as I'm talking to Daved he decided to slam the garage door on me as I'm talking to David in my face my foot right there so I pushed it off and pushed back up and said dude what hell and he's calling cops still being a total a$$. I'll never do business with them, Tyler there GM has no idea of customer service or have a dialogue with a person. Worst GM I have ever talked to. Customer service at this location is not a top priority. I've had several bad experiences with this company. It's amazing to me in a market where there so many options for oil changes that people don't treat you nicely. Examples: - I had to take my truck back because it was leaking oil after an oil change. - my wife just took her car in to get an oil change. Grease monkey told her that the CV boot was leaking and they needed to go to the dealer. We took it to the dealer they said the CV joint was fine, made no repairs to the CV joint, but said that the gasket on the drain plug and oil filter we're both leaking. We paid for a second oil change at the dealer. I called grease monkey and they said that the dealers do this to trick you. I explained that they did nothing to the CV boot but that I had to pay for two oil changes. The general manager at grease monkey, Nick was very inflexible and for this reason we will not be using grease monkey anymore. read more

I went in for an oil change and that went fine, but they were lacking in customer service as well as a mechanic. I was interested in the results of my free break check as well as making sure everything else was ok. I didn't get any info about that when my car was finished. I paid then asked what the results were and the cashier said: oh you need breaks, but my mechanic isn't here do you can come back later and get those done if you want. I told him they had been squeaking but I had just got new breaks 2 months ago, elsewhere. He again just said, my mechanic isn't here, have a good day. And moved on.
