They said it would take no more than 30 minutes to check the battery / sensors on my tire pressure. It's been 45 min and the only thing that has happened is my car is moved 10ft from where I parked it. 3 other people drive up after me demanding that they get service immediately, and they did. My car is on, all windows down, trunk open. Just to check the tire sensor? 1 hour at this point. They tell me that two are out and it's going to be $80+ each. They request your car keys immediately and then ask for all your info, including address. Upon asking why for my address and they said so they can send mail and promotions; no thanks ever. Felt like they looked down on those who just had questions and were not interested in being nice to those except the people who demanded service right away. Not coming back here ever. read more

Took my wife's car in for a brake inspection. I was informed that both sets of front pads were worn to 3/32nds, very close to the limit. Had little choice but to have new pads/rotors installed (Big O replaces rotors instead of grinding/polishing the old ones) and was quoted a price of $650. Upon hearing that number, I changed my mind. I drove off in search of a more reasonable price. Went to a Big O competitor down the street for another inspection. Was told that the front brake pads were worn to 4/32nds and 5/32nds, respectively, and not in need of replacement, but I chose to have the work done. Out the door with new pads and polishing of existing rotors for $383. I could use the words "deceit" and "attempted theft" to describe my experience with Big O, but that would be mean. Adam took care of my family and me immediately. We took over the waiting room while we waited and had it fixed in no time. So i knew i was having some brake problems went to a couple other places that were all telling me different stories. When i went to big O they completely took everything apart and found the real problem. I was very happy with this. They quoted me a price that was expensive but reasonable as i called around to get other quotes they were the best. I left my car and had them do the work. They called a couple hours later and i went to pick up my car and this is when it went down hill. I walked in and it was a different gentleman than before and i was greeted with a "what do you need". Excuse me. Anyway i payed for the service then asked him where my car was and he said he didn't know but to walk around the building and find it. What? I got in my car and drove hime. Parked it in the garage and didn't think anything of it. When i drove it the next day i parked in a lot and noticed that there were grease smudges and brake fluid splattered all over my passengers side of my WHITE infiniti. Really this is how you give customers cars back? I had to scrub the thing for an hour to get their grease off. Unacceptable. Absolute worst Big O Tires and I've been to and unfortunately it's the shop closest to me. I've been going exclusively to Big O for over 25 years Starting at the big O that used to be on Highland Drive and then I followed the manager to the store in Bountiful and now I usually end up going to the store near downtown on 300 West because unfortunately this Big O in Draper, although the closest to me, has consistently let me down. Always on hold on the phone then get "disconnected", never greeted when walking in and completely ignored until they finally get to you, unfriendly, chaotic, rude. This goes for primarily the front desk and service guys, NOT the mechanics. Unfortunately the most I've been able to let the mechanics do is a quick air pressure check on my way out of town. It took about 20 minutes for the front desk to finally look up and greet me, and about three minutes for the mechanic to check the pressure. Two stars only because they are Big O, otherwise one star. Oh and now they have a Venmo QR code on the front desk in case you want to tip them read more

I should had posted much earlier....moved to Utah 6 years ago and they have been serving my tire and dental maintenance needs since. Last month my husbands car took a nail in a tire- we pulled in and they looked at it and said it could not be fixed (specialty tire that had to go to dealership) added air for us to make it there at no charge. Brakes done on my SUV - super efficient and done on time. Today - nail in my SUV tire (bad luck!) I pulled in on Monday morning - they took it in patched and sent me out the door super fast.... Place is a joke!! I bought the tire protection plan when i purchased new tires from them. They say you can go to any of the 1,000 locations for your rotations after buying tires. What they don't tell you is if you go to other locations and don't save your paperwork you'll be screwed if you need to warranty a tire. They won't believe you that you did your rotations, my tires are wearing perfectly even and I have 20,000 miles on them. Would never recommend this place to anyone!!! I bought wheels and tires from the Salt lake store and paid almost $7000 dollars. Salt lake store was great. I had a leaky valve stem and was by the Draper location, so I stopped in to get it fixed. The longer hair tattooed short guy at the front desk was completely unhelpful and disrespectful. He said they were going to charge me to fix the valve stem that was leaking air. Not to mention he had the worst attitude of all time. No other employee there seemed to notice so I just said never mind and drive the extra 15 miles to the Salt Lake store. Had $1200 worth of fix it work done then bought $4100 worth of tires and rims all in one week, they gave me the wrong lug nuts and a lift shop had to purchase new ones over the weekend (Big O not open on weekends) and charged me $40 more for the same lugs, obvious Big O made the mistake and it cost me an extra $40. The Service Manager Caleb was excellent trying to help me (and got me excellent tires and rims for my truck) and the Store Manager Mike is amazing as always, but the owner was there, Cameron and he stepped in and acted like a complete A-hole. Worst customer service ever, apparently most of his employees and several other customers already knew this about him because they were not surprised. So after spending $5300 dollars with them Cameron thought it would be appropriate to not give me $40 off on another tire I was buying. I need new tires for my car next month and after 20 years of using this Big O for all my mechanic and tire purchases I am now going to find other shops. If you dare still go to this Big O maybe make sure Cameron is not working that day and you should have better customer service. read more

Do not bring your vehicle here, they do not hire knowledgeable mechanics and they try to rip you off. We were fortunate, since my husband used to be a mechanic, that he was able to call it when things started to get fishy. Brought our vehicle in to have the two front tires changed and an alignment. After they had started working on it one of the office guys came in to tell us the inner tire rod was going bad and they couldn't do the alignment so we should go ahead and change the rod. My husband told them to do the best they could without changing it knowing that it would have minimal effect on the alignment since he had inspected it before we left on our trip. So after waiting some more they come back out to tell us that the rod had broken from the rack and pinion. At this point my husband went out to take a look at it, seeing as we drove the car there just fine it just didn't seem plausible that this could have happened between us parking it and them pulling it into the mechanic bay (a whopping 20 ft pretty straight line drive..). Sure enough when he checked the inner tire rod was able to flop about. Super upset cause this just wasn't adding up and after arguing the impossibility of this circumstance, we said go ahead and just change it. After more waiting the office guy comes out with the part and says it wasn't broken at the rack and pinion it had just come disconnected where it screws together.. this is impossible cause it has the safety of a crush washer that prevents this from ever happening and the threads looked perfect (not stripped) so there was no way it could have just "disconnected". My husband told them to just put it back on. So when they are finished putting it back on my husband went out to inspect it. After removing the dust boot found that they had not crimped the crush washer back down and now the part could have came unscrewed causing a real problem. So I'm a nutshell: we brought them our vehicle for a basic tire and alignment job, they wanted to change the tire rod, we said no, they disconnected it and told us it was broken, we called them on their bullshit, they put it back together incorrectly (on purpose?), my husband caught the mistake, and now its fine.. except for the wasted time and the idiots putting the new tires on the back for a front wheel drive vehicle. Don't understand how a business like this stays in business. read more

I am extremely upset with the service received here. I came in for a tire repair and was told I need my axels aligned for an additional $99 and they wouldn't recommend me getting off the lot. Trusting their expertise I followed their advice while the person speaking to me never once looked me in the eye. I should have noticed the odd lack of eye contact, but he had no problem looking at my chest. I saw my dealership the next day, was informed I never needed an axel alignment and was robbed of money. I demand a refund. Why would you lie? I overheard the staff saying it was a slow week. I understand Covid is tough, but it is for me too. I couldn't afford to part with that $99, but did so because I was told this was a reputable company. I demand a refund! A staff member also refused to wear a mask as he kept taking it off and didn't put it back on when he was in the room in front of customers. read more

Took my car there for the usual oil change, tire balance and rotation. A few days later my car started making a really weird noise so I took it to my neighbor who has been an auto shop teacher for 15 + years. He took a look at it for me and determined that there was break fluid in my power steering system. I took it back to Big O' Tires to get the problem fixed and they wouldn't even take the time to come out and look at it. The man at the desk was very rude and claimed that "My technicians wouldn't make that mistake." So I took my car to the Jiffy Lube right next door and as I was explaining what happened to the Jiffy Lube employee, the Big O' Tires guys were in the back parking lot lighting off bottle rockets. Now my power steering system is ruined and is needing to be replaced. Needless to say I will never be taking my car to that Big O' or any Big O' for that matter. read more

Took my wife's car in for tires and to look at alignment and brakes. They fixed the tires, decided my brakes were okay and put it up on the alignment thing all without a phone call. They then tested the alignment and again, no phone call? Went ahead and fixed it! I was in the store at the time! Maybe a heads up? "Hey your alignment is this bad it'll be another 80 bucks if you want us to fix it now?" nothing. The counter tech took off 2p bucks... but I'm still paying 60 dollars more than I wanted. And when you quote someone 150 bucks a tire, maybe include the fact that there will be tax and recycling fee and a bunch of added stuff that will end up costing you an extra 50 dollars a tire! read more

We took our car in last year to get brakes and struts replaced. We took the car in again & they tried to charge us over $2,500 to get the struts and brakes replaced again. I told them we just got struts replaced recently and they washed off some dirt from the struts and apologized saying they couldn't tell with the dirt on the struts. Then they tried charging us for brakes again . I felt the didn't even check the car before telling us it what it needed. They were just out to get our money. read more

I am busy and wanted to know if I could make an appointment for the next day. I was abruptly told that they don't make appointments(Why not?!) and was given a tone of "take it or leave it." I was at your Draper location this morning. I was there right at 7:00. I walked in said good morning and the man just looked at me and said what is wrong with your car? I said I need my tires rotated and balanced and I believe there is something in the front right tire as it is going flat. He says "fine, we will take a look and get to it as soon as we can". I proceed to wait for an hour and 10 minutes. Nobody comes back to tell me what is wrong with my tire, nobody comes back to tell me anything. He comes back and hour and 10 minutes later and says "your car is done". So I grabbed my purse and my cane (which I dropped and he didn't even help me pick up), and I went to the front counter. I asked him if there was something wrong with the front tire and his response was "I think I saw them patching the tire so ya". I didn't get a receipt or a service ticket or anything so I literally have no idea if my tire is fixed or not. For all I know it was rotated out and air was put in it. Then to top it all off I am driving back to work and I look down and there is a nasty black glove in the middle of my console. Needless to say I am very unhappy with my experience and I will NEVER return to the Draper location again. read more
