This is my favorite grease monkey to go to. I have always had a good experience when going their for oil changes and minor car repairs. The staff is friendly and explains exactly what is going on. They don't try and upcharge you on the service and just work according to what you want and need. They are a great bunch of mechanics and do a great job! Would recommend 10/10 read more

We went in for an oil change today and had to deal with all the usual upselling that makes you wonder if they're on commission. We noted that we had a low tire (27/36) and they said they would check and fill all of them. When they were done we commented how the low pressure light was still on. They said it would go off as we drove the car a couple minutes. 4 hours later it was still on. I checked the pressure in that low tire and it was still 27/36! Makes us wonder what else they didn't do? Did they change the oil, put in a new filter, put in the system cleaner, top off the fluids? read more

Do not take your vehicles to the South Jordan Grease Monkey ....very inexperienced poorly trained workers....they put the oil filter for a small block F 150 on a F 350 v 10......LEAKED all over the drive way. I went to Auto Zone got the right filter and changed it myself.....I don't recommend.....they hire inexperienced workers with little or no auto mechanical experience. read more

We just moved to Utah a few months ago and finding a good service place for my truck is hard to come by especially with the pandemic and (some) companies hustling you for every penny they can get out of you to keep their businesses going and running. I called a few other places before i decided to use these guys. A lot of them felt like they were ripping me off for a basic oil change. I usually get synthetic oil. It's already pricey as it is. I don't need any other added costs. I know what filter needs to be swapped out and when my wiper blades need to be changed. If I don't ask for the changes, that's an obvious, "I don't need the changes" right?! No. The other places still offered and insisted that I needed to have those done, etc... I made it clear to these guys that I did NOT need any of those items and they haven't asked since. I've been here 3 times already to get my oil changes done. It's the same price. Unless I ask for them to do something else I KNOW needs to be done, they won't offer it. Not sure if they have that information under my plates, like, "DO NOT OFFER THIS CUSTOMER OTHER SERVICES!" Or something like that haha, they haven't. And it's been an in and out situation on all 3 times. Just how I like it. On my last visit I was given a flower. I needed that boost of confidence. It was a tough week for me (mentally) and just that small act of kindness helped me to recharge and refocus on the small blessings in life. As simple as a rose. So thanks to the worker working that day. The lobby area is really simple and kicked back. The concession is closed due to the pandemic cause. And they keep the place clean and organized. They have coloring activities and pre picked crayons for the little ones. And it stays pretty warm in there during winter and cold days. Very good and knowledgeable service. I went for a quick oil change and the transmission fluid code light came on as well so we also changed the transmission fluid. They had the daily paper and several magazines to read while I waited. The oil is synthetic 0-20 and is expensive. It took about 35 minutes and cost about $145. They said they were unable to rotate the tires due to some bald spots. I could not find the bald spots but I know the tread is wearing a little thin. Sat out front for over 30 minutes with no cars in the bays while they just stood there and had a conversation about the cars they drive. Finally had to ask if i should come back when they where done with there conversation so the proceeded to put my car in a bay then wait another 15 minutes before they started the emissions. All together I waited at least 45 min to start my test and i was the only person there. read more

A 5 min oil change is nothing to be proud of, It's suspicious. I asked two different employees what their full synthetic oil is and they couldn't tell me. Is it mobil1? Castrol? Pennzoil? No one knew. They told me depending on what oil I use I can either go 5 thousand miles or 7 thousand miles between oil changes.. not true. No matter what oil you use you have to go by manufacture specs. Also, It says they checked my cabin filter. They did not. Battery was not tested according to the invoice and transmission was checked, but it's a sealed trans. read more

I could not say enough good things about this business. I typically do my own oil changes however, because of lack of time and lack of a driveway, I decided to pay for someone else to do it. I called because I wasn't sure if I needed an appointment. The guy on the phone was super nice and helpful. I pulled in and a person greeted me and took my keys. Typically, when I go into a shop, I am talked down on. With this mechanic, he was nice and didn't make me feel dumb but made sure to understand exactly what oil and services I wanted. The wait was a bit long because there was an issue with my air filter. (Totally not their fault at all and I am super satisfied that they took the time to talk care of whatever issue was happening). The price was unbeatable and they even gave me a cute little flower. I seriously had such a great experience here. Everyone has so nice and I walked out feeling so happy that I visited here. read more

I popped in here the day before a family road trip to have my fluid levels looked over, tire pressure balanced and the like. They took my car in immediately, and we were done in 10 minutes. When I made the motion to pay I was immediately waved off and told there was no cost for the service! I'd have been less surprised if I was a regular, but this was my first visit here ever! I always get my oil changed at this grease monkey. It's fast and they are always really nice. When I was in there an older guy came in to change his oil because he had hit the month on when the oil was supposed to be changed but he had 2000 miles to go before he hit his Milage. They topped off his oil and told the guy that he had a few thousand miles to go even though he was prepared to pay for an oil change. They didn't charge him a dime. He was blown away and so was I! I've been going to location for years. I will never go there again. About a month ago, I went in to renew the state inspection for my truck. The guy mentioned that they are under new ownership and all the license plate stickers had to be turned back into the state and they didn't have any on hand. No big deal. I understand these things. Cut to yesterday: I went in for a routine oil change. My daughter and I show up at 2:43 PM. We were the only vehicle there. The employee says it should only take a few minutes and to go have a seat in the waiting room. More than an hour and eight customers later (customers who got there after me and left before me), the manager finally "realizes" that my truck is done. One of the employees had been eating in the waiting room. The food was just left there on the counter and that same came in and sat down to shot the breeze with a customer who he used to work with. Understaffed? I don't care. Not my problem anymore. Is this due to new ownership? I don't care. Not my problem anymore. Training issues? Most definitely. But again, I don't care. Not my problem anymore. It was crappy enough service that my 9yo daughter was wondering why it took so long. They have lost my business. read more

Came in for a simple top off in between an oil change and got told I needed to pay when it is advertised as free top offs. I do frequent this location when it comes to changing my oil. But not every time do I go to the same location. The kids that were working there really aren't good with customer service I will never recommend this location ever. read more

I went in with a coupon and because their prices were more reasonable. Big mistake. They charged me more than the coupon because of some sort of technicality they failed to explain before they did the work, even though I showed them the coupon beforehand. They sent me on my way. At home I noticed a pool of oil in my garage. I also saw oil drips up and down my driveway. I have NEVER had an oil drip with this car. These guys are a bunch of hacks. read more
