I've been coming to this location for years now and with a couple different vehicles. Oil changes and some other recommended maintenance. They have always been courteous, nice, clean, and fast. I've never had issues with any leaks or anything after. They have on occasion offered discounts and overall take great care of the vehicles. They offering to clean windows, vacuum, tire pressure etc. They also offer free soda and snacks in their waiting area. I'd like to shout out some stellar employees. McKay the regional manager been there a while and I enjoy his chipper demeanor! Aalyia team lead very kind. Went in for an A/C check and when they first came back they said it was a recharge I needed but after they already did the recharge they tell me that my compressor is shot and that I need a new one. The person that did the check told me it was just going to be $60 for the check but I went to play and they charged me the full $250 after it did absolutely nothing to my car to help or fix it. I had an extremely frustrating experience with Grease Monkey location #658. They somehow entered the wrong license plate number under my BMW, which caused mileage inconsistencies to appear on my Carfax report. The worst part is I have never even been to this location for service. I tried addressing the issue with the assistant manager, but instead of taking accountability or helping resolve the problem, she was dismissive and unprofessional throughout the interaction. A mistake like this can seriously affect a vehicle's value and history, so the lack of urgency and customer care was unacceptable. I brought my 2015 Jetta TDI to Grease Monkey in Rexburg before a road trip. During the service, the technicians admitted they put the wrong oil in my diesel engine and had to drain and refill it. They also noticed the coolant was low and recommended topping it off, which I authorized. Two and a half hours into my drive, the entire cooling system catastrophically failed, blowing out a fitting, throwing white smoke, and leaving my family stranded on the side of the freeway for over two hours. We had to pay for towing and an unexpected rental car. When I finally got a hold of the manager to discuss this, he was incredibly condescending, talked down to me, and completely deflected responsibility. His defense was that coolant "doesn't just go low, so there must have been an existing issue." If his technicians believed there was a major issue, they were completely negligent by just topping it off without a pressure test, failing to warn me, and sending me out on a highway trip. Absolute lack of professionalism and accountability. Do not trust them with your vehicle. read more

Stopped by for oil change because I had driven from CA and my car was ready for a change. Usually get my oil done at the dealer but the nearest dealer was too far so I gave them a shot. Short wait but when my car was ready a number of people were working on the car to get me out of there fast. I recommend this place if you need an oil change. read more

Absolutely amazing experience and I am so grateful for this Grease Monkey! I came two days before Thanksgiving and they were slammed, I had came because my windshield wiper motor was broken and I didn't know what to do as I was supposed to drive down to Utah that day! When I first came they said normally only electrical shops work with that and I accepted that I'd probably have to leave. The guy running the line told me he'd clean off my windshield though and came back out and said that there was a possibility that the manager could fix my motor! I accepted and even whilst they were slammed and understaffed they made sure I was taken care of! I couldn't have been more grateful as I was so stressed out about my car and being able to travel, they definitely deserve more than a 5 star review! Stopped by to get some chips repaired in my windshield. Everyone was pleasant and professional. I had a very short wait to be seen. The young lady who greeted us was so nice and knowledgeable. We ended up adding an oil change and air filter replacement to our service. Then Mariah came over to fix our windshield. Mariah was amazing. She was such a hard worker, and so professional. She identified and repaired our chips on no time. It was great to see her work. Holding the curing light with one hand and scraping excess material off with the other. Then afterwards checking the smoothness of the repairs and getting the window cleaner than it has been since it was new. We were more than satisfied with her and the rest of the team that helped us. The only reason why it isn't a one is because they gave a an extra $5 off. We had an appointment at 10. They didn't get our car in to ever start the oil change until 10:45. If you are planning on making an appointment, note that this is completely piss for them. They don't care when your appointment is. The workers were slow and they need to do a worker evaluation. I stood and watched them take their sweet time. 20 minutes not ever. Final note: if you plan to get an oil change a Grease Monkey their 20 minutes is not valid. An oil change at this location will take you at least an hour if not an hour and a half. And that is WITH an appointment. read more

This service shop is outstanding. My husband and I were traveling from Carson City, Nevada to Montana when we started hearing a noise under the car. We pulled into Rexburg and called Grease Monkey. They told us to bring it right in (on a Saturday when few other services were available). When we were a half mile from the shop our right front tire came off and rolled down the road!!! We walked the remainder of the way with our two dogs and told them who we were. They immediately took my husband back down to our car and put the wheel back on (two studs broke off) and brought it back for repair. I contacted Costco as we had gotten a tire rotation less than a month ago!! Apparently, the lug nuts were not tightened properly. Grease Monkey fixed the car and had us back on the road in a couple hours! We bought the parts at a part store next door (and the mechanic's wife took my husband to another store as the first did not have all the parts) and Grease Monkey charged us only $80!!! I had them "balance my tires" and now my entire car shakes at 80 mph whereas it never did before. I arrived here for an oil change and they upsold me to a "full service" oil change, but that wasn't the problem. Before I even sat down they asked for help opening my hood, which was not adding to my confidence because the hood latch isn't abnormal in any way. Then a bit later they showed me a filthy air filter that wasn't mine and asked if I wanted it changed which I replied no to, of course. For icing on the cake though, the "full service" change was supposed to check oil, other fluids, wiper fluid, lights, etc... the issue however, was that I knew, for a fact, I had a low-beam out, fog light out, and super dirty, overdue, tranny fluid. low and behold they listed off all of those things as "perfect running order". When I informed them of the issues, they said "Oh, weird, the mechanic must've missed that" and went out , I assume to ask, but I could here the mechanic loud and clear say, "oh yea I didn't actually check those". They rep came back and still had me pay full price and I didn't have time that day to dispute it so here I am. This used to be a 5 star rating but never again. Took the car in last week, when they checked the air filter (it was a clean filter, had a new one put in a few months ago) but when they took the filter out and back in they let leaves and dirt fall past the filter. The next day we are driving through the middle of nowhere Wyoming and our engine loses power and we break down on the side of the highway unable to start the car. Police stopped to help and decided we needed to get towed. Closest mechanic was over 150 miles away so we had a nice tow bill of $1,270! Just to then find out the only thing wrong with the car was the leaves clogged the mass air flow sensor so the computer sensor wasn't letting the car turn back on. $155 mechanic fix. The mechanic said whoever touch the air filter last is at vault for the issue. Contacted Grease Monkey last week to tell them about the problem, when I followed up with them today they are taking no responsibility for it because "it wasn't that big of an issue"! Well it was! I'm so mad, they claim that their "oil changes are guaranteed to be done right" yet it wasn't and they take no responsibility for it. All I want is to be reimbursed for the tow and mechanic bill because that wouldn't have happened if they had done their job correctly or we went to a different business. Definitely not going to drop this until they make this right, it's rotten of them to not make this right read more

Wonderful service and super attentive. I was assisted by Bryan...or Brian . Another employee checked in with me every 7min and have a status on my car. I needed to switch out my low beam bulbs. The payment was reasonable, and I was not there too long, especially since I arrived at a good time: right before 1pm. Not sure how just they get on Tuesday's, but I was out in a jiffy . Chris, I'm not sure what he is.. a manager of some sorts is a complete conman. Do not come here to grease monkey. Not only will they will try to upsell you on things you don't need, but they will do it in a condescending and rude way. He straight up lied to my face and when I called him out on it he backtracked and made excuses. I spoke to Greg, the CSM (chief service manager..?) and all he did was downtalk Chris and tell me how lousy he is and how he is so much better than Chris is. He even told me I shouldn't trust Chris because he is only trying to get the sale!! They straight up admitted that to me. I highly recommend to go somewhere else with your business. They aren't even the cheapest in town but their customer service is absolutely through the floor. read more

Friendly but incompetent. Sent our car in for air conditioning charge and tire rotation and balance. Car came back without improved AC and one tire was flat by morning. We used Point S to fix the tire (Grease Monkey had damaged the valve stem on a two month old tire) and fix the air conditioning. It cost us $150 more to have it don't right. read more

These guys are awesome! Really impressed with the professionalism and speed. They get you in and out in a hurry and do a really complete inspection. They even wash the windows and vacuum! They completely lack professionalism. I was charged for an extra court of oil which is a hidden fee they don't tell you about. To make it worse, they ended up having to drain it because my car was about a court overfilled. I was told that it wasn't their fault because they rely on the internet for engine sizes and charge for extra oil accordingly. After waiting an extra 30 minutes to have them drain the extra oil, I was treated very poorly as if they wanted me to leave quickly. As I was driving away I noticed that the floor of my car was poorly vacuumed which was a service I paid for. I am not happy with their service or the dedication to their customers. Sorry Grease Monkey, you failed at one location and lost a future customer. I didn't even receive the oil change reminder sticker which is something I get from any other store. read more

I have always heard terrible stories of Grease Monkey but since there isnt much of an option here, I took my car there for a simple coolant flush and transmission flush. The price was pretty outrageous. 244. Im positive jiffy lube would be cheaper. Anyways, the day after, my car started amoking and overheated. I checked under the hood and THEY DIDNT PUT THE RADIATOR CAP BACK ON! They couldve deatroyed my car and when i called for some sort of refund or siacount, they only gave me 15 dollars credit like I was ever going to come back. Ridiculous. I got an oil change here. It was pretty standard. They did it really quick because hardly anyone was there, I didn't have to call or anything, I just drove up. It was about $45 or something. Didn't even take 30 minutes. I got there, they did their thing, and I was out. They even have coloring books in the waiting room, although I couldn't find the crayons. read more
