I chose Woody Smith Ford when I ordered my vehicle to stay away from the nationwide conglomerate in Idaho Falls. As months turned to years waiting for my vehicle to be built, I have debated with myself over that decision ever since. I finally received word that the build and delivery dates had finally arrived. On the day that I picked it up, family members were traveling from out-of-state that I needed to attend to, WSF had the vehicle and paperwork ready when I arrived. Signed paperwork, wrote check and was headed home in 30 minutes. I had to take it in for a recall procedure. I had called two weeks prior for an appointment and to pre-order the parts to avoid two 60-mile trips to WSF. Did have to remind them of this before they acknowledged they had the parts in stock. So I left it with them to complete the installation which they completed. They also programmed a Ford accessory that I had purchased with points. Upon asking, they recommended and shuttled us to a local restaurant and returned us when finished with lunch. So in my continuing debate, they have earned a few points back. read more

Our Ford F-150 Eco Boost broke down on the weekend while we were traveling on our vacation. Shane was great and got us in first thing Monday morning. Unfortunately our truck lost one of the turbos and we did not have the time to wait for a shipping of another turbo; they did not have one on hand and had changed several since January. Although they were not able to fix our truck within our time frame, it was not to a lack of help on their part. While we waited we noticed that this dealership was very personable to the customers. Driving with my family from SoCal to Yellowstone. My F-150 broke down in Island Park, on Father's Day. I called AAA and Linsay tow took it to Woody Smith Ford as I asked. The tow driver was extremely kind and said he was familiar with Woody Smith and they would take good care of me. I called first thing Monday and you can imagine they were swamped on a Monday morning . Darin understood my situation and got to me ASAP. After I described to Shane what happen he pretty much diagnosed the cause in minutes. By Monday afternoon they had me back on the road for a lot less cost than I imagined. They could have really got me as I was desperate, but they did take good care of me. A long overdue compliment. While on a 4 month RV trip around the nation my 2016 F250 diesel developed a DEF fault, limiting speed to 55mph. I called a couple local Ford dealers on Saturday am, the 1st of which offered to get us in in 2 weeks (she had no interest in what the issue was, who we were, etc.). The 2nd said sorry, no one to talk to till Monday. The 3rd call was to Woody Smith Ford. Shane Tapper happened to be there, listened to our problem and said to come in Monday am. After a slow 2 hour drive, we dropped it off and went to breakfast. By the time we had returned they had fixed the problem (and changed the oil & air filter at a very reasonable price). Would you believe, not only was a brand new genuine part from Woody Smith cheaper than all the other dealers, but they also charged less than the junk yards! My husband and I are very pleased with our experience here at Woody Smith Ford. I am a student here at the university, my husband works full time and we just had a baby. We came prepared with what we were willing to spend, what type of car we were hoping to find and also had a down payment in mind that we were willing to put towards the car. We were greeted by Austin the salesman who took us outside right away to look at some cars as requested by my husband. We took a test drive in the 2008 Acadia previously owned by an elderly women who traded in for a smaller SUV. Austin was very polite and held conversation throughout the test drive. The greatest thing was that this car was the car my husband and I had been following online (we browsed online before coming to the dealer, way helpful, highly recommend). We decided to go with the purchase of the car. As college students/starting family we didn't have that big of a budget with nearly no credit, but we were happy to see that Woody Smith Ford was able to make a reasonable deal with us that didn't break our bank! Austin took the time to listen with us, get to know us and was able to relate to us. He followed through with the sale and kept us in the loop while we were waiting for the banks approval. We had to gather everal peices of info for the bank that we weren't prepared for, but Austin helped us locate those sources by giving us internet access while coming up with ideas ok what we could give the bank. This was our first experience financing a car, and overall it was not intimidating, or overwhelming! I would highly recommend coming here, regardless of age or experience with buying cars! Before living in Rexburg we lived in Seattle Washington and have had less positive experience with bigger dealerships in bigger cities. read more

We were really delighted to get quick and competent service when we called from 2 hours' drive away. Our driver's window wouldn't go up, and rain is in the forecast tomorrow. Shane squeezed us into the schedule at our chosen time, even though they are extremely busy. They had the needed window motor part for our 2003 Ford, so the service was quick and complete. Horrible service, sales person would tell me they were going to return my phone call to provide me with the requested information and then wouldn't. Told me they were going to look for other options in vehicles from other dealers in the area and then didn't. Tried to rip me off on my trade vehicle and then treated me as though I wasn't good enough to buy their vehicles! Went to Broadway ford in Idaho Falls and was treated like gold!
