Oakley is your guy! Our overall experience was a 10/10, if you have any hesitations about this place all I say is go ask for Oakley and figure it out yourself. A little bit about our experience... I pulled up to check out a couple trucks I saw on the lot. Oakley wasn't there as he was taking a new customer out to lunch. So I went and got my wife and came back right away to wait for him. We sat there and got to know Darrell a little bit as well while waited for Oakley. Checking out the truck with Oakley was a great experience, the Truck was in great condition and was priced very well... the only issue we ran into was I'm extremely rusty at stick. But Oakley was absolutely awesome and took me to an open parking lot in the truck and helped me get all the kinks out of my driving. Overall they were very friendly and thoughtful, we loved how they took their time to take the previous customer out to lunch or to reteach me manual. Talked to the owner after being sold a lemon about a month ago, the car has so many problems I can't even drive it, I wasn't expecting much but just stopped by to see if there was anything they could do for me or at the very least let them know they are selling cars that are on the verge of breaking down (although I'm sure they already know that) anyway the owner kicked me out of the dealership and called me a "typical a**hole customer" and was yelling in the doorway as I left. They gave me a better price than what Kelly blue book gave for a trade in on my old car and then helped with a small repair on the new car a couple of weeks after I bought it from them. New Ride Auto mostly has inexpensive cars that college students can purchase. Maybe it was just bad luck, but the worst car I have ever had was from here. It was clear that it was in an accident, but I had such a big need for a car that I overlooked the signs. The problems only got worse from there. It was a complete nightmare. We bought a car from their lot. Not exaggerating, 3 days the check engine light came on, we took it back they helped pay for the repair. Not kidding, on the ride home check engine light came back on. Their mechanic said to take it to Subaru. (New ride auto, specifically said the car has been checked by their mechanic, last week we took it to a different mechanic, they said there's a transmission leak. I asked new ride auto's mechanic if he has ever checked this car before and he says he has never seen this car prior to my meeting with him. I thought I could trust New Ride auto turns out, you shouldn't. ) Anyway, we took it to Subaru. We were hit with a 2,200 repair, they talked them down to 1,800. Regardless, I'd invest my money elsewhere. If your rich, buy here,( you'll be able to afford all the repairs needed) if your a college student who needs a reliable car, go somewhere else. read more

Salesman sold vehicle as AWD. When we took vehicle to auto shop, we found out vehicle wasn't AWD. Called dealer right away and they wouldn't let us bring car back until we had the title from DMV. We had to wait 4 weeks for title to arrive. Then when we took the car back with the title, owner wanted to deduct $800 for his fees and mileage! Whatever you do, DO NOT buy a car from New Ride Auto. Darrell will come to your front door and threaten you with his lawyer for writing a bad review As he did with me. Long story short we bought a car from him and the check engine light has been on ever since we bought it even AFTER we spent $3,000 to get it fixed. When we had told Darrell the check engine light had come on he said and I quote "if it really bothers you that much, just put a sticker over the light." I waited to post this review till we were out of the apartment that we were in when Darrell showed up. I was actually recommended here by a good family friend up here in Rexburg. He told me Darrell would take good care of me and he was right on the bullseye there! Darrell helped me out tremendously in buying a new car here in Rexburg. He wasn't pushy, but honest friendly and truly cared about me as a customer. Since I've bought the car I've been able to go to him for help in knowing where to go locally for a mechanic, he helped me in going through the process to buy plates, tags, etc. and he made me the best deal for the car I bought. He was able to sell me the car at market value! I had my Dad verifying everything he told me. Ya know how overprotective Dads are, especially making a big purchase like this. New Ride is a small used car dealership but they have the best selection of cars anywhere around. I've never bought a car from them but I've looked at a few vehicles there over the years. Being a car guy I hate going to dealerships and working with salesman that know nothing more about the cars they are selling than what color they are. The owner of new ride knows his cars though and it's a big reason why they have the best selection. Unfortunately he's jerk and treats his customers as if he's the only one that knows anything about cars. I was looking for a car around $3,000. He basically told me it's impossible and that I'd have to carry it on my back. So I flew to AZ and drove my $3,000 car home 1,000 miles.
