We have been to this location multiple times with different vehicles and never had any bad experience until now. We took in our Mercedes Benz for an oil change and they lost the drain plug. We were not notified of this and later found out that they placed an after market drain plug with an incorrect thread pattern that stripped the oil pan. This fix cost us $1,153.87. We went to talk to the manager of this location and he didn't take responsibility and instead blamed the Mercedes Benz service where we took our vehicle. This is completely unacceptable and we are disappointed that after all this time of being loyal customers we get nothing in return. I have tried contacting them to get this resolved and nobody is reaching back. I got an email address to email them but after three weeks have not heard anything back. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I brought my car in for an oil change and when I got home I noticed my car was leaking oil all over the garage. I had never had any issues before going to Grease Monkey. When we called to tell them what was happening the rude manager said it was written on the invoice that there was a major oil leak. I found this strange nobody let me know before leaving that my car was having a major oil leak. The next day I took my car to jiffy lube and they were able to fix the oil leak within an hour and said someone put the gasket on wrong. Now Grease Monkey is refusing to refund us the money for the oil change and continuing to say I have a leak even though jiffy lube fixed their mistake. read more

If I could leave ZERO stars, I would. My most recent experience here, will prevent me from EVER coming back here again. Here's why: While service is friendly and quick, the quality is majorly lacking. I recently brought my car in for a simple oil change [that was a few miles overdue] and was in and out in a flash. The problems started AFTER my oil change. I got home and the next day my car had leaked almost all of the oil that had JUST been put in the day before. I realized this after i drove to work and surpringly made it. I thought to myself "how can there be no oil? i just had an oil change!' Thakfully, I have a mechanic friend who took a look at it. Apperently, the boys working on my car had lost my oil cap, replacing it with a plastic cap, which melted as my car heated up. He pulled out the cap, which had a metal piece attached that was completly rusted over. Now, WHY in god's name would someone do that? I understand loosing an oil cap, but be honest with me - so i know to replace it so i don't break down on the side of the road. AM I RIGHT? What was supposed to only cost me $40, cost more like $250. I recommend NOT coming to this lousy loction unless you plan to spend wayyyy more than you thought, and experience the worst service ever. read more

Also, this was the only location that filled up my tires with enough air which turned off my low pressure alert on my dashboard. The location on S.Colorado failed to do this last time! I was getting ready to road trip from Colorado to Las Vegas when I realized that my car was due for an oil change. My normal mechanic is booked weeks out and we were leaving that night!!!! My husband told me to go to Grease Monkey but to make sure their oil change wouldn't void out my warranty. The gentlemen assured me that it would not and there was signage in the waiting room stating it as well. The waiting room was clean and cozy. A TV displayed estimated time of completion as well as the prior customers completion time. Attendants were very friendly. Showing me everything that they had done to the car in detail. Good work. I've been going here for years with my truck and Escalade. Yesterday was my 8th oil change in the truck. The first seven were $100 and yesterday was $190. The guy asked me if I wanted full synthetic and I told him I just wanted the same thing they had put in the last seven times. He tells me it's the same. When he gave me the bill after they were done, I questioned why so much more and he had no comment. I went out and got the last invoice to show him, and his response was they had undercharged me. This is a review of my past two visits to this location. I work very nearby so the location is convenient, nothing else about it is. On this last visit, they had one car in the shop and nobody in line, there was no wait. I left my car with the technician outside and then waited nearly 30 minutes for them to talk to me about my car. I was involved in something else or I would not have waited. They couldn't figure out what to do with my car as it was not the car that matched the plate number. I told the guy very clearly when I dropped it off that this was a new car and it would not match. Even after they figured out the make and model (about a ten-second conversation) it still took nearly another thirty minutes to get the oil changed. Options for the service were never provided and I was not quoted a price. The "30-minute guarantee?" meaningless. They did give me a $6 discount on my $100 oil change but that doesn't come close to making up for missing lunch and the annoyance. How about free for the total screw-up? Once is a bad day, twice is how they do business. Go somewhere else, anywhere else. read more

I've been coming here for years and today they let me down. The reason I have been going there in the past is because it is close to my office and I can eat at BK while I wait. When I dropped my car off today they said go inside and they will be right with me (there was only one other person there getting their oil changed). I waited for about 10 minutes and then went outside to ask if I could grab a bite to eat while I waited for my car. They told me they would be right in to answer my question. They eventually came in and helped the other guy without saying a word to me. After waiting inside for 35 minutes with no update I did not have anymore time to just wait around with no one to answer my questions or give an estimate on how long it would be. 45 minutes wasted. I look for quick service and something done well. I think this place fits the criteria. The waiting room was a bit cold but I sort of get that. I just think Grease Monkey should give up on "washing" windows as part of it's service as they use dirty rags that just smear my windows and frustrate me. Oil plug fell out after oil change. When I called in to make a complaint the person I talked to reviewed the video a told me that it was installed when the car left. I do not doubt this; my claim is that it was not tightened properly. I asked him if he thought it was a coincidence that within hours of them changing the oil, plug fell out. After I asked him this, he was immediately rude and was very hostile with me. I was nothing but polite to this person and did not deserve to be talked to this way. To be clear, this is my significant others car and when the person I talked to found this out, he told me to have them to call in and questioned why I was calling for a vehicle that was not mine. My significant others is a nurse and works 12 hour shifts, so they would be closed at the end of today's shift and I thought I would nice of me to take care of it. I tried to explain this and all the person did was talk over me. I guess this a reason to be unprofessional on the phone. Lastly, I asked for his name he said "Whatever dude" and hung up. If you look at their (Yelp/Google) reviews, I am not the first person treated rudely and not the first botched oil change. So if you are looking for a place that cannot even tighten a bolt correctly, you have found it. read more

This location has vastly improved since the last time I was in. I personally had some issues here about a year and a half ago, but this visit for an oil change today was great. The staff was very friendly, they were thorough in going over the details of what they would be doing, including taking me out to my car and showing me everything once it was done, assuring I was good with the work done. Do not use #greasemonkey for your next oil change. When putting your car up in the racks there is a good chance they may screw up and end up damaging your vehicle. These tires are brand new in mid-October and after driving off from Grease Monkey of Centennial on Arapahoe Rd - 6722 S Potamac about half way home my tire gauge went on. I was the last customer so I could not address it last night, even if I wanted to. I figured they'd possibly triggered a sensor when checking the tire pressure and I would call in the morning. This morning the tire is flat and in the light I see a rub ring that encircled the entire tire and the valve was missing its lid and was leaking air. Now we all know that a tire can hold air without the lid and that unlike a bicycle tire, it's not going to just start leaking air upon removal. I filled the tire and headed to discount tire, who confirmed that the tire was damaged beyond repair and that it was unsafe to drive. No tire in stock - have to wait until one located so I'm on a donut until who knows when. Thankfully my tire is covered under warranty, but I don't have full use of my vehicle until the tire is in stock. What got me was how Sidney the General Manager at Grease Monkey handled it. I called first thing while I was sitting in the lobby at Discount Tire and he spoke to me like I'm stupid and actually said that I'd probably damaged it in the Burger King parking lot. He didn't even offer to make it right or even look into what could have happened in his shop - his immediate go to was to blame the customer. Grease Monkey states on their invoice "Grease Monkey is dedicated to ensuring your complete satisfaction." My tires were fine when I arrived at this Grease Monkey and damaged when I left. I AM NOT SATISFIED. I will never give #greasemonkey my business again, because this isn't the first time I've had an issue. But this will be the last. read more

Mark was super helpful, told me what I needed and didnt need, showed me around the engine so I wasn't totally lost and even gave me a discount. Super great experience! Had the most horrible experience when I went for a simple oil change. They brought the air filters to show me and get approval for them to be replaced. The filters had a lot of dust and some dust was spilled on the counter. I didn't go for filter replacement as I normally do those myself. This pissed them off. The manager, Mr. Adrew Young, took the spilled dust, opened my car door and threatened to empty it onto the driver seat. I never took the air filter into their shop. I just wanted an oil change. I couldn't properly respond to his cursing and threats as it is not in my nature. What a shameful and disgusting attitude towards a customer. They proceeded to charge me an extra $25 for the "special filter" (not the air filters) bringing a simple oil change cost to over $150. Never again. read more

I was very surprised to get the amazing service from the typical "quick lube" business, as I had initially thought. That being said, if you live close to these guys, this should be the only place you get your oil changes! Top notch service from both Eric and Erick as well as the rest of this knowledgable staff!!!! I went in for my routine oil change. This place is solid! I always come here and they just give me what I got last time. They are very helpful as well. They address other card needs but don't try and sell you on anything. They just want you aware of what is going on with your car. Great yelp deal with 10% off when you check in. I used that as well! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! I went in for a simple oil change. When I went to my regular grease monkey the very next oil change they showed me the drain plug bolt and with that my oil pan thread come with it. they said the last place that did my oil change over tightened the bolt. when I brought my car back they replaced with an over sized drain plug. the problem is the dealership and the other grease monkey said they only recommend replacing the pan which the owner refused to do. He also acted like he was doing me a favor for not fixing my car. Furthermore he came up with possible scenarios that were ridiculous. To top it off when the replaced my plug the put standard oil in. I always do a synthetic blend.wish I could give negative stars because it would be negative 5 stars. read more

This was the second time that I have taken my car to this location and it will be the last. I should have learned after the first time when they didn't even discuss what type of oil or how much they would be charging me till they were finished. This time I had to argue back and forth on what oil I wanted for my car (my car does not require the $100 oil, I asked my Ford dealership) before they finally agreed to it. I then asked them to look at the windshield wiper to see if it was broken because their was a coupon for free wipers if you got an oil change. They changed both without asking and then charged me for it, when I asked why I was charged when I had a coupon, they said that they didn't put the standard wiper on my car so the coupon didn't cover it. Although we had used this facility many times over the last 10 years, we will never go back there again. The Manager, Andrew Young, insulted me the moment he began to speak to me by stating that I had never read my manufacturer's manual since I wanted the same oil put in my truck as the last time and numerous times before. He attempted to up-sell me on a synthetic oil that costed almost twice as much even though the Grease Monkey sticker on my windshield clearly showed that they had put in the conventional oil previously. When I said that I wasn't interested in the synthetic oil he went into a tirade about him having liability for allowing me to use the same oil as countless times before. I simply replied that I had never been so insulted as to the reading of the manual, particularly, since I am a mechanic who has, indeed, read my manual. I asked if he was the manager and he replied affirmatively. I then said I would comment about his outrageous behavior in another forum and take my business elsewhere. I then went to another Grease Monkey, which promptly put the conventional oil (as noted on the sticker) in my truck. The manager located at 22515 Aurora Parkway in Aurora, CO could not have been more kind or professional. So we now have found a new home for our four vehicles to have the oil changed. read more

This review is a little late but I had such great service I had to review. I was having a hectic day and had to get an oil change unexpectedly. My other vehicle broke down and I had to use my daily driver for an upcoming road trip. They had me in and out in no time, cleaned my interior and left me a nice little rose on my dash. They had no clue about the day I was having and didn't know how wonderful their extra touches went toward giving me a smile and turning my day around. They also have a massage chair that made everything just a bit better. They push synthetic oil service at $100. You don't need this type of oil unless you live in a cold place, 50 below, or extremely hot place, Death Valley. A blend is suitable. The mobile one sells for about $10/qt, so 4 quarts plus a filter is about $50, I guess they are charging $50 to do the work, which is excessive. You can go almost an other place and pay about $30 for an oil change, with filter and car inspection, even a dealer. Avoid this place!! read more
