Car was fixed in one AFTERNOON- not all day and no overnights. Unheard of! I can always count on the work completed to be done properly and on time. Fair prices too. read more

I was connected to Ryan from Carter's Automotive through a friend and my vehicle was picked up and on its way to be repaired within the day! I had a transmission go out in my Subaru and their estimate was considerably lower than any other shop in the area and the speed they finished the job was unreal!!! It was in and out in less than a weeks time! This was unlike any experience I've had with any mechanic ever. They definitely have a loyal customer in me after this. read more

Carter is awesome! My girlfriend and I have been going to Carter for years and we live all the way up in downtown Denver. Carter is fair and such a competent mechanic. When I needed to get my shocks replaced Carter allowed me to buy the shocks and bring them in and he installed them, making it a little cheaper for me. I highly recommend Carter's Automotive for your car repair needs. read more

Carter fixed my truck for an issue that Groove Ford did not even diagnose. He fixed my truck and now it is going back to the original shop that did the work. Carter did the work in 1 day and he was very kind. I will forever be loyal to him and my truck will only be looked at by him. Best mechanic ever and I recommend him highly. read more

Wonderful place. Fixed our AC and replaced a headlight for less than we expected and were genuinely nice people. Totally recommend.

This place exceeded all expectations. In fact I thought they would charge me a lot of money. They did not. They treated me as if I was a sister, daughter. Their front desk person is such a wonderful gentleman and was very helpful. My 2 min interaction with Carter himself seemed like they really just wanted to help. I recommend this place to any ladies who are sick and tired of being ripped off and not respected. I will always use this shop from now on. I made an appointment for Monday for some more work on my truck. I know they will definitely take good care of my truck. read more

Carter is the BEST mechanic. He is completely honest and told me exactly what my car needs and what it doesn't mean and how long I can wait for certain repairs. He took the time to carefully explain everything to me, and his prices are very fair! He saved me a lot of money, telling me certain things can wait. My neighbor recommended his shop, and I couldn't be happier. The shop is very professional and neat and organized and the waiting area is nice. Doc, the office manager is very personable and knows a lot about cars. read more

Went here on a referral and was not disappointed. They are located a little out of my way, but it was worth it. Conveniently, there is a rental car place 1/2 mile down the street -- affordable at $35 per day. Carter had my car in and out in a day, so rental car was no sweat. But he immediately knew who I was and why I was there when I walked in (had called to book this reservation and he gave me a solid quote via email, after looking up my VIN number). Called me mid-afternoon stating car was ready and confirmed their warranty policy and the fact that he only used brand name parts -- no after market, generic parts. Very happy and will come back again. In the end, saved $$$ from what the dealership wanted to charge for same service. :) read more

They do really good work. I had a clutch replaced and it was done quick with no hassle. I had an exact price before they even touched my car. One of the best mechanics I've been to. My clutch malfunctioned about 8 months later and they replaced it for free within two days of me calling. These guys are awesome. read more

Buyer beware: God awful service and the price of the repair more than doubled ($1100 to $2300) after five hours of my vehicle sitting at the garage. The Mechanic informed me that the problem with my vehicle was indeed the same problem with the part I told him about over the phone. He did not find anything I didn't already tell him about. If the mechanic identified a different part that was broken then the one I informed him about then I would have accepted his excuse that his verbal quote over the phone was "the best he could do." But, when the mechanic knows the problem, and knows the type of vehicle that needs to get fixed then I'd expect a more professional and accurate quote. Seems like he gave me the $1100 quote just to get me in the door. And after 5 hours of my vehicle sitting at the shop, it seems that he assumed I wouldn't want to bother with the hassle of coming to get my vehicle and finding another shop to fix it. The time estimate also changed from "we can do it in a day" to "it will take 5 days." How can a knowledgeable professional be so incompetent in price of repair and time to do it? Really dicey business practice, which unfortunately is very consistent with the industry in general. Buyer beware, proceed with caution! read more

Carter was recommended to me by a car broker friend. I priced compared and Carter did the work on a 1987 Dodge Ram truck in a timely manner and at a fair price. I used Carter to replace a clutch. The towing company broke a tire rod getting the truck to auto repair shop. Carter has been very helpful dealing with claim. Filling out the paper work, taking pictures etc. These guys are great. I have found a new mechanic in Denver. read more

This place is incredible. Carter and everyone else who works here will help you out with anything that you need. I take my Lancer Evolution 8 here for work and they take great care of it and are extremely knowledgeable about what they are doing! I highly recommend giving them a call. Sometimes they are too busy to answer, just give them another call and they will likely pick up. They are worth the time and money! read more

Carter's always provides a great service and never try to sell you anything you don't need. I live on the other side of town but it's still worth it to make the drive to have any work done here. read more

Great service and value from this shop. Went to a few other places for an estimate on my Mercedes and they were outrageously priced.

Carter and Cassie are fantastic. Finding a mechanic that you trust 100% is not easy; I've always been super happy with Carter's Automotive.

Carter was the most professional honest repair I think we have ever had on ANY repair I have ever had done on a vehicle. Here is the review I gave on Mile High Honda the difference of price for repair ... $2,300!!! Carter you now have ALL my families automotive needs covered! Thanks for the savings! "We bought our Honda Odyssey at Mile High, did almost all maintenance there and we paid a lot of money for an extended 7 year bumper to bumper warranty. We never used the warranty and when we had maintenance there they never turned of a tire pressure light that just needed to be reset. We had an issue with a couple months left on the warranty. We took the van in and were informed we had to pay I think it was $65 for diagnostics. The guy that was helping us was smug and just rolled his eyes when I asked about my warranty. When the "diagnostics" were done they came back with a quote of $2400 for the issue which was a wiring harness damaged "do to rodents" so nothing would be covered. The smug employee pissed of my wife so bad we had our van towed to another mechanic. The total for the repairs at the other mechanic ... $180 including an oil change! I used to love going to Mile High and previous repair guys were awesome. This last experience I will never give them another dollar. I still have a month on my warranty. If anything goes wrong at all I will bring them the van and cause a scene if I get any push back. They are happy to take your money when you buy the vehicle and regular maintenance if you love Hondas try the dealer on Arapaho Rd." read more

Carter is an honest and passionate individual who knows and understands customers. If u r looking for a seriously good relationship, come to Carter's. Great service and reasonable price (i. e. i am getting my tires change today BigO tire estimate :820 Carter's : 560 out the door on same exact tires) read more

Excellent service. Took my daughter's 2002 Ford Escape. Basically gave him an open door to fix whatever he felt needed repair as I had just purchased it and knew the vehicle needed some work. Asked him to focus on shorter term items and "safety" items, given the age of the car. He identified an axle issue and leak in the transmission fluid. Also found a small leak in the oil pan, but said that he didn't think it necessary to fix it. Came in under $500, more than fair for the parts and time to repair. The shop earned my loyalty by not gouging me on unnecessary work or cost. Will definitely take my next repair need back here. read more

I have been taking my vehicles here for about 9 years. I'm convinced there's not a more honest or fair service shop available. They are a family business that treats their customers right. As long as I have cars that need service, I'll be a customer of Carter's. read more

Honest hard working people that offer a fair deal and in a very timely manner. As a single woman, I searched for someone who I thought would be honest & reasonable & trustworthy. I am SO HAPPY that I found Carter's! Cassie & Carter were exactly the kind of people & shop I was looking for. It was recommended by a coworker of my moms. My mom & I have both taken our vehicles to Carters and between the two, have had exhaust repaired & replaced, brakes all around, a starter, a clutch and replaced plugs and wires. Every job has been reasonably priced, competitive & the work has been excellent. Less than 48 hours after picking up my truck, I was on my way home from work when smoke started pouring out of my hood. I called Carter immediately; he called for a tow & replaced a hose that had a small hole in it. Less than 2 hours after my ordeal started, I was picking my truck back up. I highly recommend This place for any car repairs!!! read more

Carter did a great job repairing my Honda. They quote that they gave to me over the phone was accurate. Cassie was friendly as always and kept me in the loop regarding how the repairs were progressing. They even honored a coupon that I had which saved me $100. Great job guys! read more

Carter's has been my family's go-to mechanic shop for almost 10 years now and they have been nothing short of excellent! The service has always been completely polite and professional and the work performed has always met or exceeded my expectations. On top of that, Carter's has easily saved us a great deal of money. An absolutely better price than the dealerships and chain shops obviously, with their overhead and incentives to bleed you dry at times. Carter's has always been up front and honest and will not perform any unnecessary work-ever. I have recommended them to many of my friends and they have been equally satisfied. Can't recommend Carter's enough!!! read more

Great shop, honest people. They looked at my front wheel bearings, and told me I needed to replace the right side. The left seemed fine, but could probably wait. This after the dealership told me I needed to replace both. The car runs quiet with just the one side fixed and I saved over $1,000. Thanks!!! read more
