I always take my company car here for maintenance and oil changes. The service is always fast, I have never had to wait longer than 20 minutes start to finish for an oil change. The last time I was in, they didn't have the air filter needed to complete the service check my company requires. They changed my oil, vacuumed, and did everything else that they could right then. Then, they ordered the air filter and we're all good to go. Maybe the service has changed since the bad reviews were written because it certainly sounds like a Tale of Two Grease Monkeys! read more

I was told I needed transmission fluid and a cabin air filter. The technician showed me a completely filthy filter and I agreed, however, i was very suspicious. We have 3 cars and I work from home. It is always parked in a garage and there are no dirt roads anywhere near my home. It seemed impossible that the filter looked like that. So, I followed the technician who was holding the dirty air filter. I watched him put it in a drawer to use as a prop for the next customer. I will never return to this "business". read more

Blown engine due to negligence. Oil change at this location on 11/2/24. Vehicle broke down on I-70 less than 300 miles later on 11/16/24.... Nissan supplied proof of no oil in engine to Grease Monkey as well as my clean carfax on 12/5/24... This my only vehicle for 2 kids and 3 jobs and they ruined it and now don't care about making this right. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR VEHICLE. I stoped by today, May 6, 2024. There was a small line, nothing intimidating. I was the second car in line and waited over 1.5 hours. I finally asked them what was taking so long and they said they had truck they drained the oil out of but didn't have any to replace it with and so they were waiting on the oil. Very frustrated that they would not come to the other customers in line and set our expectations by letting us know it would be an indefinite wait. They just let us sit there. Total waste of time. Went in with my car, they explained that I need an extra qt of oil from the normal cost because of the make and model. Didn't sound right, but the manager insisted he was right and of course charged me for it. They couldn't reset the service light and took forever. Businesses that take advantage of people disappoint me. My wife brought her car in for an oil change that cost $111. Standard coupon on their website wasn't offered. Full synthetic oil change completed which should be changed every 7500 to 10000 miles and still put a sticker on her window for 5000 miles. Have gotten excellent service with full synthetic oil change at Ralph Schomp Honda and Christian Brothers in Highlands ranch for less than $80. Will not return and recommend paying inflated prices for routine service. read more

I am really great full for the staff at Grease Monkey, as A woman going into getting your car serviced it is very intimidating! I went in for a top off of fluids I was approached by Phil, the mechanic noticed some other issues, at first I was stressed, hearing all of the things I had not expected, going in for an oil change! I then called my mechanic, and the services at grease monkey were coming way under the prices, by the dealer, so I could not have been more happy with my decision! Pat is the manager, he made sure I was taken home, and my car was brought back to me the the next day , no extra charges, or Surprises! I never really leave reviews but here it is. Left the house with the battery randomly dying (it was fine before). Went for an oil change ended up with a lot of services. They made sure to check my battery which I was sure was fine till the mishap this morning. Got it replaced, the air filters needed replacing (seems to happen often as I'm always driving). Needed Transmission fluid replaced which I wasn't sure on but looks like it needed replacing some time ago (meaning the other place I went to a few month prior ignored it). These guys were quick to diagnose issues and get everything patched up. I got out of there really fast. I hope everything stays well and they keep doing quick efficient work. read more

I hate getting my oil changed. It always takes forever, or longer than they tell you it's going to take, or you show up and they don't have a spot for you, blah blah blah. Grease Monkey was awesome. I dropped off my car and walked over to King Soopers to get my lunch-time grocery shopping done. They were done in under 20 minutes, which was before I got back. My husband sent me to Pep Boys today and I had an appt. after waiting an hour, they could not tell how long it would be so I drove across street to Grease Monkey and got right in and a similar discount. My F150 appeared to be leaking oil after my first and last "cheap" oil change at Walmart. I took it to Grease Monkey this time. I typically take all of my family vehicles to Grease Monkey, and they typically do a good job. This time, the went way above and beyond! Nick, the guy in the pit doing the work, noticed that they never removed the skid plate when they did the work at Walmart. That means that all of the old oil pooled up inside the skid plate under my truck. Nick had me come and look underneath my truck, and the amount of oil that was caked on the skid plate was simply unbelievable. Nick then told me he'd leave the skid plate off if I wanted to clean it. Not only did he wrap it up so it wouldn't get oil all over my truck, but he gave me a can of cleaner and sent me to a local car wash where I could safely do the cleaning. Oh, and Nick said to bring the clean skid plate back and he'd put it back on for me at no charge. I've been driving the truck for a week now and no leaks! First time and my last. I was in with my 2013 Subaru for a simple oil change and rotate. I watched them change the oil and noticed they never rotated my tires. I would not sign my receipt. And they told me i couldn't have my keys back. I drive a fleet vehicle and don't pay for maintenance. They told me they just bill my company for it, and don't do it. I told them i calling the police. They handed me my keys and asked me to leave. Once i left i looked in my mirror and saw a trail behind my car. It was the oil filter leaking all over. They didn't remove the old gasket, they told me. I will never return. They are stealing, dishonest, and can't do a simple oil change. They hire 18-19 year old kids who don't care and have no experience. i would not let that place fix me a sandwich. read more

I was very pleased with my service at this store. Let me start off by saying I truely dislike to go to car anything store. I feel like I know very little and could be talked into anything for the safety of the car. I also have an older Oddessy and I know that it is going to need some maintainence here pretty soon. So I dread even getting my oil changed. I was so surprised! I was greeted by name by a man named AC. He had looked up my license plate while i pulled into the bay. I told him I needed an over due oil and filter change and took check the fluids because we were going on a trip. He said no porblem and got to work. I walked to kings soopers for just a second and when I came back all was done and vacummed. He told me I would need some maintenance coming along soon but we were alright for now. i was so relieved and happy to be done in 15 minutes. I wished I would have broght him a coffee! Went in for basic oil change. Was not disclosed a price was charged for a full service oil change not told and unaware of price ... then mechanic that smelled of liquor approached me to tell me I needed New Rotors and Brakes ... and it would be 700.00. The lady before me also had problems with her car other than oil change. She took an Uber home. A man was in there he received basic oil change no additional work was needed for him . Another lady was getting the talk about additional repairs too ... I fortunately declined the repair and paid 99.81 for an oil change ... WOW .... just WOW !! Took it right over to my Infinity dealer to have it checked out ... NO REPAIRS NEEDED !!! Again WOW!! This is my daughters car .. I took her to make sure this was a good place because it's close to where she lives ... it was not comfortable.. the men that worked there were very unprofessional and all looked as tho they had been put all night and very rough looking ... not a place where I would send her again ... Giving this place one star is being generous. I've gone to this place for a couple of years and I will never go back. My sister used to go here and they were rude and very condescending to her. The last time I was here was about a month ago or so. I left one of my expensive oil pens in the front cup holder and didn't notice it was missing til I was almost to my house. I called them immediately to talk to the manager. The manager was rude and acted like it was no big deal. Instead of asking the people who worked on my car, all he said was "well my guys wouldn't do that". He made it seem like checking the cameras was too big of a hassle. He finally said he'd check them and call me back. I never heard from him again and when I called to check up, no answer. So watch out, they'll steal things from your car. read more

Just got an oil change an hour ago. Odd item on my invoice. While the oil filter was included, no extra fee, there was a charge called "Special Filter Charge for $4." When I asked what this was, I was told it was something my car needed (it's a Hyundai Santa Fe, not a Ferrari) that "had to be brought in from somewhere else." Since I didn't see an oil well nearby, I'll bet EVERYTHING is brought in from somewhere else. And nobody had to go get it, it was already there, so this appears to be actually an "Unnecessary Charge." I'll go to the Hyundai dealer from now on. And by the way, YELP, don't hide the new bad reviews because they're "unsuitable," and just show old good reviews. I came in for an oil change and just chit-chatting I told them I had just dropped off my dog at the vet for surgery to remove a tumor-long story short they didn't end up charging me for my service. They seriously made me start crying I was so surprised by their empathy, they didn't have to do that. They even left a rose in my car for me! I was a regular at this GM until my last visit on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012. I'm a business woman & took my company car in for it's usual oil change. I gave the "Wheels" (fleet company that manages my vehicle) info to the attendant, Ben, who noted that the car was now over 60,000 miles & so need it's air filter and fuel filter changed in addition to the oil. So I initially told Ben, "Ok, go ahead & change the air filter & fuel filter then." But his immediate response was "Oh, but we don't know how to change these and Wheels gets mad when we don't do these." Say what? So I told Ben, "Okay, so don't do it, just change the oil and that's it for now. I'll take care of the air & fuel filters myself later." I left to go to the gas station next door to get a newspaper and was gone maybe 10 minutes, if that. Came back into Grease Monkey and Ben is on the phone with "Wheels" getting their credit card number so as to charge $149.93 for the oil change, air filter & fuel filters, so I found out later. He had my Wheels card in his hands, of which I had placed back in my full glove compartment before leaving them my car. I asked him what gave him the right to rifle thru my glove compartment to get my Wheels card. I also asked him why he had disobeyed my specific instructions NOT to change the air and fuel filters when he had said they didn't know how to do these. And his response was "Oh uh, well we figured out how to change these." So they got the oil changed, fuel filter and air filter all changed in less than 20 minutes? Something didn't smell right. Granted I'm a chick, but I rebuilt a car engine with my Dad when I was in college, so I know a lot about cars. Consequently, the next day, I pulled the air filter out and sure enough, it was black. I went under the car and checked out the fuel filter and sure enough, it was also the original fuel filter. I took some digital photos of both and called Wheels. Eventually Wheels corporate got involved and they were extremely angry to hear my story, for the pictures said it all. In fact, they later remarked to me that this was theft, plain and simple, and I totally agree. On Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, so two days later, I went back over to this Grease Monkey and asked to speak to the Manager. He wasn't in but the Assistant Manager was. I pulled out the air filter and showed it to him. I told him to also look at the fuel filter as it too was the original one. He saw it all for himself. BUSTED!!! He pulled the car into the bay and looked at the oil filter. Said he couldn't even say that his guys had changed the oil filter as they're supposed to initial and date it when they put it in and that hadn't been done. He saw to it that the oil filter was changed that day. I am absolutely livid at this store for lying to me like they did. Not only was this theft, but they put my life in significant danger here. For I travel all over the states of Colorado and Wyoming for business, and much of my travel is in very remote, mountainous areas. Consequently, because they told me that they had changed the fuel filter out, when in fact they had not, it could have gotten plugged when I was on one of my many remote trips, with no cell phone service, leaving me stranded in the mountains with winter weather conditions. Hence, some very serious consequences could have resulted for me if I hadn't had a "gut check" on this situation and checked the parts out for myself. Several weeks later, after Wheels corporate got involved, I received a letter in the mail from the infamous Ben, of which had also been signed by the store manager, Pat Sandoval. Ben said in this letter, that the entire episode was all just a simple misunderstanding. That he had simply forgotten to tell the guys in the shop to change the air and fuel filters out. No big deal. Yeah right. I'm not buying it. I think the truth is exactly what Ben had stated when I first pulled up, "Oh, we don't know how to change out the air filter and fuel filters and Wheels gets mad if we don't do this." So they lied about it, so as to "cover themselves" for not knowing how to change an air filter out? You've got to be kidding. I could teach a 5 year old how to change an air filter! Secondly, they lied to Wheels so as to then steal $149.93 from them for work that was never done. Thirdly, they put my life at risk by telling me this work had been done when in fact it had not. As I told the Assistant Grease Monkey manager, if this were my shop, everyone who worked that day, (as I was the only customer the entire time I was there), would be fired.
