Zero stars if I could. During my visit, I asked for an oil change.I was told it was $92 dollars. I also had a $30 coupon. When I checked out my total was around $102.93 with the coupon. I was told that my car must have needed extra oil and I must have been really low. I stated that's odd that no one came and told me that and I didn't authorize that either. Then, an hour later I received the itemized invoice via email. I was charged for three extra items totaling an extra $34.07. When I called the shop they said they would give me store credit on my next visit. I declined and said I wanted to be refunded on the card I paid for the extra services. I still have not been refunded and will be calling back and visiting the store ( almost two weeks later). This type of service is dishonest and scamming customers. I do not trust this shop to service my vehicles anymore. While I was waiting in the lobby the receptionist was also listening to explicit social media videos on his phone. This was uncomfortable and unsettling. He also made weird comments about not using my client profile contact information to text me. It felt borderline suggestive. read more

Arrived for Andre to ask me to come back tomorrow for customer appreciation he said they're trying to close early today. I told him I don't live in the area. I just work in the area. I'll find a different oil place to use. That's a second problem with grease monkey again read more

Worst place ever ! Charge you for items you didn't approve! Went there today for a $75 oil change. I approved a $50 cabin filter. My bill was $123. They charged an extra $21 to put in max engine treatment, which I didn't approve. They said I needed it because I needed it to full synthetic and I don't. I can use synthetic blend on my car. $4.99 for shop supplies ? What's that ? $10 extra for oil ( why I already paid $75 ). Stay away from this place. They had extra fees without approval.! Not sure what was going on when I got there as I left within a few minutes, walked inside and heard someone having a tantrum, throwing things and screaming at other employees inside the garage. Didn't want my car in that environment so walked out. Looked like an employee walked out soon after I did too. Some medium height guy with slicked back hair and neck tattoos was still screaming in the parking lot as I was driving off. Didn't know I was at my anger management class today. What could be improved? Not doing that is a good start. read more

If you don't care about your vehicle then this place is right for you. i recently had my oil changed with these people and the day after being serviced I wake up to a pool of fluid in my driveway which turned out to be transmission fluid. I had a local mechanic come take a look, and he said, without a doubt it was due to malfeasance. And you could probably guess greasemonkey had zero intentions of standing behind their work. I suppose it was just a coincidence that something was wrong the day after service with grease monkey... read more

I generally avoid these kinds of places because of the bad rep that comes with them, but I've got to tell you, these folks ROCKED! They didn't try to sell me on services I didn't need. They were pleasant, friendly, and had me in and out of there within 15 mins! KUDOS! read more

After spending time underneath my car on my way to a special dinner traveling on I-70, I would never recommend this place. This was the 2nd time after having my oil changed that the engine splash shield was NOT put back on correctly and came down while I was driving and making a horrific sound driving the speed limit of 75mph. I did contact them, and they said they would fix it. After failing 2 times I said no. It's too dangerous to hope it would be done correctly and definitely at their price! read more

To summarize: DON'T go to the grease monkey in Castle Rock, drive to the one in Parker, it's worth it. Trust me. Full story: (Backstory: My car is incredibly well maintained by 2 different mechanics, both of whom I trust deeply and whom are booked out for days, hence why I wanted to go here for a super quick oil change before a spur of the moment road trip) I called to get an estimate of how long an oil change would take, the employee refused to give me an average expected wait time or even an estimate based on the amount of people they currently had in line. So I drove in and walked up to the front desk. It was clearly the same guy from the phone. I stood 3 feet in front of him looking directly at him as he did paperwork for upwards of 5 minutes before he even acknowledged my existence. Literally, I could have been invisible. Gave him the car keys and then he tried to up-sell me on bunch of services I didn't need, then he took my number and said it'd be about 1.5 hours until the oil change was complete. 2.5 hours later, I called in for a status update. No answer. So I went in. The lobby was empty and I could hear music and laughing coming from the garage. So I stood there waiting. Several minutes later, the guy walks back in, looking down at his phone and texting. After he finished his texts, he finally noticed me. Only then did I learn that they had not performed ANY services upon my car because some "issue" that he said was "so severe that I should probably have my car towed out of the shop" (exact quote) and then he started to go in to some long explanation while referencing a laminated piece of paper that had pre-printed photos of the 'issue' they encountered on my car, which I'm sure would have culminated in him 'strongly advising' that I pay hundreds of dollars for the repair that had magically materialized out of thin air. I cut him off mid sentence, took my key back and walked out. This guy and this company are the textbook definition of a slimy/untrustworthy mechanic. I will never return and I will warn everyone I know about them. Absolutely the worst customer experience I've encountered in years. Update: to reinforce my point, I drove to a different Grease Monkey in Parker that is owned by different management and recommended by a friend. I told them what "another mechanic" had said, so they took apart the entire unit and brought it in the lobby to physically show me the parts, saying "I don't want to bad mouth whoever you saw, but this unit is in perfect condition. No problems at all. Whoever looked at it before lied to you." On top of that, they did my oil change, completed all those inspections in under 20 minutes AND they gave my wife a flower. That's how it's done! In conclusion: don't go to the Castle Rock Grease Monkey! read more

I took my 2020 pickup truck for an oil change. After about 50 minutes of sitting (20 of which was spent waiting for it to be pull in) an employee told me they were out of my type of oil-filter. He told me a parts truck was on the way and should be pulling into the lot at any moment. Miraculously, they happened to find a filter to put on my truck. That took about another 10 minutes. When I asked if I get a $1 discount for every minute they were late (which was about $10), he responded, it's not our fault. Well, whose fault is it? Not mine. They blamed the part supplier! I guess if you don't have the tools needed to change motor oil (oil & filter) you SHOULDN'T be doing business! read more

Don't go here. These guys are stupid. Today I went in for an oil change and drove off with no oil in my car. Thankfully, I got oil in the car and it did not do any major damage, but they could have blown my engine. I just returned from your store on holly and county line road where I had a taillight replaced by Jason. I want Grease Monkey to know what a fine manager you have at that location. All the bays were full and lines of cars were waiting for their turn. Another words he was slammed. I patiently waited, thinking It would be a long wait before he could get to my car. Well he asked me in a calm and pleasant voice how he could help me. WOW, I asked if he could replace my taillight and he said, yes, where is it parked. I said in back of the store. He asked for my keys and said, I'll have ready in five minutes and he did. I don't know what you do for your employees but Jason is a keeper. Respect Lorenzo read more

Not surprised that this Grease Monkey has a 2 star rating. I drove in 10 minutes before they opened their doors to business which was 8am. He also stated that other employees are always late. CRAZY! Corporate needs to fix this fast! read more

Justin really saved the day, he was more than happy to help and I couldn't be more thankful!!

The service here was great. They did all of the extras I like such as topping of fluids, changing the filter, putting air in my tires etc. They even cleaned up my car a bit which was an unexpected surprise. When they were done with my car they brought me out to inspect their work and showed me what was done. I thought that was a nice touch that builds trust. The cost was a little above average but the service was good enough to justify it. When I need an oil change in the future this place will be on my shortlist to go to. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. They had the car in and out, 10 minutes tops to the point I was wondering if they had checked everything. The invoice said I decline services which I was not consulted on. I only got the invoice after signing. I honestly went to get my windshield washer fluid filled (it was bone dry empty upon arriving) in addition to the oil change. The invoice said they filled it. It was bone dry empty upon leaving. I went back. They put some in it. Went to the local gas ration to fill up and started to double check the work. New oil filter, check. New oil, check. All the other non oil items were not completed as written on the invoice. The guy who seemed to be running the place said there must have been a leak for the coolant, windshield washer, other liquids, etc.... I said not in the less than 1/8 mile I drove and returned. Not a trust worthy business. Will not return. Would not recommend. read more

I have been coming here for years with a number of different vehicles. These people are straight shooters. What a waste of time!! I booked a reservation days in advance for an oil change via Grease Monkey's website. I waited several days as this was the first appointment available. Got up early on my day off and arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time and was told by employee that they don't take appointments and that it will be at least an hour to an hour and a half wait. I showed him the website AND my confirmation email. He said we don't take appointments and "I guess we have to get that fixed" Clearly the don't respect customers or their time. I was was driving on the freeway and the underbelly of my car started falling off! It was making a loud grating sound. I live in Boulder and needed to fix this before driving the 1.5 hours back home. I immediately took the closest exit and went to the closest auto shop- it happened to be this Grease Monkey location. Will Tony Brandon immediately took care of me and did everything they could to fix the underbelly protector that was falling off my car. In the end they made it so I could safely drive back home. Will Tony and Brandon were extremely professional, helpful, caring and everything you could want at an auto shop! They did all this for free- just out of the fact I was in need! If you value your car please do not take to grease monkey in Castle Rock. a few months ago my car stalled on the highway. I took it to a reputable shop and was told there was no oil in the car. I've been taking my two cars to this location for quite some time. Both of my cars had oil leaks this was due to the stripping of the oil pan screw on both cars as told by several mechanics. One of my cars was destroyed as the engine siezed. The owner and the manager will lie, cheat and steal not to pay out. Please if you love your car spend the money some where else. This business is under new management 8/31/09. I had been a repeat customer for 2 years but the staff is all new and very in experienced. I have a Honda Pilot that needs to have the rear differentail fluid to be changed at each oil change. The gentleman that checked me in said they do not do that, but there are huge signs all over the waiting room saying that they provide differential service and my reciept said that the fluid level was checked. Then the sticker on my window said they used 5W-30, but the Pilot needs 5W-20. I went inside and told the receptionist that I had a concern about which type of oil was used and that I needed to speak with the tech. The guy that changed my oil said he mis-typed the information and he did use the correct type. The interaction was fine and I didn't think much of it until my husband came home from his oil change and told me that when I walked out of the office the receptionist said "I like how she comes in and blames me for it". Very unprofessional and strange. The staff that was under the old management was always kind and helpful. Not the same now. Unfortunately I will not be returning. read more

Fairly disappointed with this place. Took my car in, having called ahead and told 'first come first serve.' The guy who answered the phone (Rolondo) was not very friendly and that should have been my first warning... When I arrived, there was nobody in front of me and they took my car in for a normal, basic oil change. They now have a clock that starts a countdown on a television screen, which gives them essentially 20m to complete the service. I sat there for over an hour, watching the lady doing the work come in periodically to reset the countdown timer. Not a big deal to me, though it would have been nice to get some kind of 'hey, we're working on getting you wrapped up' or something - pretty surly bunch overall. Two people who had arrived after me were done and out of there before my car was done. Biggest problem I have with this place is when I got home and noticed the big puddle of oil under my car. I was sure they'd stripped the bolt in the pan, but I lucked out and they had just forgotten to tighten the bolt. I'll take that over the stripped bolt, but come on. You had one job. There's no way I will take my vehicle back here and will be actively trying to find another convenient spot to have service work done. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would I told him to get a oil change was greeted very rudely by a girl that had the worst attitude I've ever seen somebody have working at any type of place where they have to deal with customers she was obviously mad and visibly irritated that another car had told him and that she was going to have to do more work but she had another hour before the store closed so I bit my tongue and asked her how her day was going sarcastically she said shitty and I walked off and went sideways five minutes later I gave him Tom gave me my keys back and told me he wanted me to leave and never come back and then I called his employee a little girl which she said he had video proof of which I told him to show me and that I never said anything like that to her he never asked to my side of the story or even cared about her attitude or anything that I had to say I don't know how the stores and business and everyone of these people should be fired I really think that they were sleeping together and he was sticking up for her because she was mad in the first place because she caught him staring at another girl that was getting a oil change read more

UPDATE: Per the owner's request, here is an update to the failed transmission flush. We were able to bring it back and watch them redo it. The manager did it himself and all is well. The owner did apologize and state that he had a bad batch of employees that have since been let go. Grease Monkey did right to get this resolved, but my car will not be coming back, as I have found a service station I am more comfortable bringing my car to. ORIGINAL POST: Well things changed quickly. Few months ago went in for a total transmission flush and paid over $200 for it. Drove off thinking everything was ok. Today I was shown how they didn't do it. I need my transmission flushed again--less than six months later with minimal miles put on the car! My fluid is fried. This Grease Monkey started off great but looks like turnover has killed it. My vehicle will not be on their lot again. Ps: went to one of their competitors. Paid under $40 for the oil change and tire rotation that Grease Monkey charges $95 for. Sorry Grease Monkey but my car will never be serviced by you again. I'm not paying that much for awful quality of service. The owner of this establishment needs to take a hard look at what is going wrong. read more

Uthis group is a total rip off. Buyer beware. I tried not going to Denver to the dealer for convenience, that was my first mistake. they charged me twice of what the dealer charges for a simple oil change. Over 100.00! I came in at 11 am on a Wednesday morning for an oil change. It took about an hour and 40 minutes as they ran out of parts. They only had two workers. But they did reduce the payment $9 which was nice, still was $63. When he came and told me they ran out of oil filters I said ok, they said Goodyear will bring us one that fits. I give this place a 5 star because despite what you pricks think. Michelle is a bad ass. I've been in this industry since 1996. Started at jiffy lube at 17yrs old. Been doing it ever since. But regardless of our relationship together she is a focused woman. And a great manager. Sorry Jeff she could do your job and still have time to rebuild a couple regulators for the bulk tanks in her shops without breaking a sweat This woman has earned my respect to work in my field any day of the week. She truly bv knows her shit. Got a great heart too. Help anyone who needs a hand. Now back to these slams on the one I cherish above the rest. I was her senior technician, Yes I'm her ex of many names. Yes the junkie drug addict psychopath... sure been called worse. But Michelle and our team needed major work out the gate. I couldn't wait to get a transfer to a real shop. Even at 40 were among the best of the best. There is only 2 or 3 ppl I would ever run a 2 way with Michelle and Tyler any day of the week. And if he stopped worrying about his chommo step pappy telling him what to do he is third. To say things about this person here is unreal...how tf can you slander her name your lucky I moved to Florida or ide walk my ass out to castle rock and wait around for a gutless weasel to drive around his Ford... only a ford driver would say that that Chevy girl is anything less than a rare priceless gem. Needle in a haystack... my bestfriend. She is not one to mention her personal problems to co workers let alone random stranger's either. Hell I was lucky to know what was on her mind half the time. But nothing ever interfered with her job. Michelle is a lifer in this industry and one of the best I've ever worked with. I would still be there myself but I'm the one who cant separate lives. Role of Josh the pit monster, and Josh Michelle's partner in everything. Yes I got into using drugs. But no one ever knew until Michelle found my kit at home and she took it from me it was my second chance. When I was given my bday. I went onna downward spiral. Michelle helped me get clean. And told me she finds it again I'm gone. Did I know she had a habit.... no she was clean if she did she was more slicker than me. Remember we was around each other 24/7. So for your finger pointing jarrod... you a straight slandering ass mf... I like your name great band btw.. Michelle has more knowledge and skill in her dirty snot rags than half the fukboyz I started with in Nov. Her son there now... shoot me n tiny ran it at 520 bubba. Miss those days. You dont know exactly how great a shop yall people out there in castle rock have. That pit was the cleanest delivery personnel has EVER seen. Now as for the rest of her staff I know 3 will b great. Michelle and I spent countless hours off the clock making 649 look like it does right now. She takes pride in everything th she does. If any of you were there when I had 1 of my 2 emotional meltdowns I'm sorry. I needed help Michelle being my other half at the time was helping me full time and Jeff got me some numbers to find a rehab center. And to remind you all I'm still waiting the info. Thanks for everything. Like i said before Michelle. if you EVER need me. I'll be there. Ide run a shop with you / for you any time. Your a badass I'll always be there for yall. If I could I wouldn't give this place any stars. When my husband and I first moved to Castle Rock I was excited to be so close to a place to get my oil changed. We had just bought a new car and our first oil change was here. Not knowing any better I listened to their VERY convincing talk about the type of oil I needed and agreed to pay the almost 90bucks for my oil change. Well, the next oil change I took our new vehicle to the dealer and they told me I had been duped. My vehicle in fact did NOT need the most expensive oil change, but more the middle of the road. The guys at Grease Monkey told me they looked in the system, their books, and under the hood and yep that's what I needed. Well, I was well informed from the dealer and knew about what that car needed for future oil changes. Let's fast forward 6 months, I brought in our other older car which we have had since it had minimal miles and knew the car didn't need the most expensive oil change. I pull up, tell them what I want, the guy stumbles and told me mam your car needs full synthetic, can you please pop the hood just to make sure? I said it absolutely does not, I fell for your crap the first time and I am not going to again. Oh okay, so we will go ahead with the conventional. YES YOU WILL! Just because I am female does not mean you need to take advantage of me and tell me my car needs the most expensive oil change. I fell for it the fist time. NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT come here, they will try and convince you of something you may not need. WE WILL NOT BE BACK. read more
