I wanted to express my appreciation for this Big O location. Anytime that I need the tires or the battery checked, which I purchased through them. Any visit I've had (we have been long-term customers because of their level of service and value) - I walk in the door, they take the information, take my car and when it's finished I check out and have always had a pleasant experience. Today I worked with Shawn Weber and I have had years of experience with Mike assisting me. Again, all of these visits to the store have gone quick and pleasant and professional. Today's services were battery and tires. A discount promotion was applied. I would have forgotten there was this (warranty/promotion I don't remember the name of the warranty/coverage) so I appreciated that they applied the discount without my needing to remind them. Historically, we've had good experiences with this store--but that has completely changed. The tires we purchased and had installed here just one year ago are now being labeled as "so worn out in the front" that they supposedly need to be replaced. After only one year. I have never in my life had to replace tires annually. To make matters worse, we also purchased the warranty and were told it wouldn't cover anything in this situation. What is the point of a warranty if it offers zero protection? Extremely disappointing experience and a total lack of accountability. I just had the BEST service and I have to tell everyone. This morning I had a 9am appt at Walmart to get new tires on my Jeep. For whatever reason, they only had one tire in stock and said I would have to order the others. why did they make me an appt then? So I left there and went to Big O Tires. I walked in there practically in tears because I was so upset. Mike and Matt helped me immediately. I explained what had happened at Walmart and they found me a set of tires perfect for my Jeep, within my budget and I was home by 10am. HUGE shoutout to Matt at Big O tires. I have taken my car to another tire (LS;) shop on two different occasions because one of my tires is losing psi. The first time they listened and put bead on it. The second time one of their techs mansplained that there is nothing wrong with the tire. The discussion got heated because in my mind, there is zero reason for a tire to loose 20 psi in three weeks, even with the weather. (If it was weather, wouldn't all of my tires lose psi??) Fast forward, 4 days after my visit to LS where there was nothing wrong with my tire, it lost 9psi. This time I took it to Big O where I was cheerfully greeted by Matt who took in the whole story. He could not find anything wrong with the tire either, but his conversation was I have checked everything and "I can't find anything, but there is obviously something going on. There is no reason for a tire to loose 9psi in four day. The only thing I can think is that the something is happening with the valve with the weather fluctuations. I am going to try to fix it. I would rather not make you put on a new set of tires if we can help it." I am super grateful for Matt and beyond appreciate his help. I hope his fixes will last, but if they don't, I will be certain to buy my new tires from Big 0. Big O has Matt to thank for bringing me back as a customer!!!! read more

You're making a mistake if you don't choose Big O - specifically the Castle Rock location on Perry St. Not only are these guys AMAZING (and I mean customer service, attitude, "smell of the place" vibe you name it) they are efficient, work together and make it a seamless experience for the customer. I work for a Fortune 50 company and customer service can be hard, but the people who face customers every day make the difference. My wife and I brought two vehicles in at the same time Saturday morning for their winter tire swaps and they had us out of there in about an hour. Super polite and professional. Their prices were half what Les Schwab's were too. I am reducing the 5 star rating to a 1 star rating - One week later, I went to swap out my brake pads at the house and noticed the lug bolt remover was missing. Since I checked that is was there before we had our tires mounted last week, I knew where to go to get it back. When I asked Matt (Says he was a manager) to come outside to discuss it and allow him to go get it out of the shop and return it to me. He wanted to rifle through my perfectly clean interior to see if he could find it. I told him he could even though I had already inspected the interior so I didn't have to waste my time in the first place by driving down here. I caught him going through my glove box and owners manual and when I asked him why he thought a lug nut remover would be in there. He lied and said sometimes they put them in there. He was looking through my receipts. Never have I ever seen that done and I have purchased at least 12 new cars and a dozen older cars. He then argued with me as if I was lying about a $28 part. The vehicle is $75,000 and this is the principle of the matter and you Matt have handled this all wrong. He could have had a customer for life and made plenty more money in the back end. SCAM ALERT!!! I have bought tires here exclusively for the past 10 years. Recently every time I have been in they found something mechanically wrong. This would be ok if they found the same issues every time but they don't. I asked them to grease my new U-Joints and they said my U-Joints couldn't be greased because they were the wrong kind. They also said they were bad. I took it next door to a mechanic, he greased my U-Joints and checked everything Big O said was bad and everything was fine. SCAM ALERT!!! read more

Can't thank these guys enough!! Its been a rough couple of days with 2/3 car being down and then our 3rd decided to collect a nail, in a spot that usually is unrepairable. We were prepared to spend another 400$ to replace 2 newish tires and because of their honesty we walked out with no charge. The nail did not puncture all the way through!!! I bought tires from them and there has been one tire that has needed repair 4 times in less than 6 months. They won't replace it even though I have a warranty. Their shop guys don't seem to know what they are doing if i have been stranded on the side of the road 4 times due to a flat tire!! Last July my digital display said the air in my left rear tire was low. I brought the car into Big O here in Castle Rock. I waited until Sean, the manager came over and informed me that one of his employees backed my car out of the working area and into someone else's car. He said he would assume full responsibility and we examined my car. Oh by the way my car was 2 weeks fresh out of the showroom, brand new. Sean recommended Mikes Auto Body and Glass in Castle Rock and I took it there. Mikes Auto Body repaired the damage to the rear end, it turns out it was several thousand dollars worth of damage and also my rear sensor needed to be replaced, that was damaged as well. Mike could not get the part and had to order it from Hyundai. In the meantime Sean at Big O was tru to his word and paid for the repair at the time. Several months later the part came in and Mikes Auto Body replaced the sensor and whatever else was damaged and again Sean at Big O Tire paid for everything. My car is fine, I am very pleased that Sean at Big O Tires kept his word, paid out thousands of dollars for the repair and there was never any problems or hassles. I would definitely recommend Big O Tires to anyone who had a problem with their tires, as this was a fluke accident. read more

These incompetent monkeys overtorqued the lug nuts on my F150. Ford uses decorative metal caps on the lug nuts. They were deformed to the point that I couldn't fit a lug wrench over them. I had to chisel off every one of 24 lug nut covers off. Then I discovered they had overtorqued the nuts to the point that my 150lb pneumatic wrench couldn't loosen them. So, I had to torch the nuts until I could get them off. Did I mention there are 24 of them? I wouldn't trust them to change a tire on a kid's trike. read more

Well of course I was like all the other suckers and waited to get a proper set of tires for my truck so it can handle these frozen Colorado roads. I called and talked to Matt, I was happy to hear there was a set of tires to fit my truck in stock. I was there with in 15 minutes, so before I was finished with my lunch at the Chinese food place across the way they had them mounted and ready to go. Don't let them drill out your lug nuts and keep an eye on your valve stem covers. I own a jeep which has key to remove one of the lug nuts. When switching from my snow tires back to my summer tires with Big O I got a call that the hex key that is used to remove them was cheaply made, breaking and that I should buy new lug nuts to replace the keyed ones to alleviate this problem, so I authorized it for about $8 bucks a lug nut. Then I received a call that it has broken and that for them to continue the service they would have to drill out the bolts which may damage the rims, I once again authorized this figuring they were the experts. (bad move on my part). They did drill them out and replaced them. This caused some minor damage on the black rims. In the end I ended up paying $150 more for the additional labor and lug nuts. After I left I also noticed that the nice valve stem covers that the jeep used to have were now cheap plastic ones. I feel that as a tire shop they should have either had the tool they needed to do the job or would recommend that I could buy another tire key for about $35. Saving me about a $120 and damage to the rims. The valve stems covers were just an additional annoyance that added enough frustration for me to move on to a competitor for my future tire needs. read more

I would not recommend this place! Took my truck here because of a coolant leak. Shawn Was employee that wrote up the bill. He said it was the water pump. I said ok let's get it fixed, I was there 2 hrs, when I got the bill I was charged for almost 4 hrs of labor! Does no seem very honest. The parts were high priced also. $850.00 to replace a water pump, that is one of the easiest parts to change because it's right on the front of the motor. I guess this place don't like repeat customers. They have lost my business. read more

I went into Big O Tires in Castle Rock to get my timing belt replaced. They did it and less than 24 hours after, my engine started heating up while driving and blew a head gasket. The vehicle's radiator was damaged after Big O Tires failed to re-install it properly after replacing the timing belt. I took It back to Big O Tires and they charged me for replacing the radiator and did not do head gasket repairs. I had my vehicle fixed and the manager refused to compensate me for the head gasket repairs. DO NOT GO HERE FOR TIMING BELTS! read more

I'm very particular about keeping my Denali pick up in great condition. I paid a over $2k to have the good Michelin tires installed and couldn't have been more dissapointed with the work. The left front tire had 90psi (10psi over max), the other five tires had varying pressures, two valve stem caps were missing and they put clip on lead weights on the outside of my brand new factory aluminum wheels. The tire balance was worse than if they did not balance at all. I called and they said to bring it back and they would rebalance. The truck was dirty when I took it in because of the snow and bad roads. I picked it up and a couple days later took it the airport for business travel. When I returned I went straight to the carwash to clean it up and take it back to be fixed. I said I couldn't have been more dissapointed, until after I cleaned it up and noticed the circular scatch around my drivers side front aluminum wheel, just what I've previously seen when a tire machine touches the rim as it removes the old tire. These were brand new rims and had not been removed from the truck accept for them to put on the new Michelins. They refused responsibilty and said it could not have been their tire machine. I assume they think I scrapped a curb, which I did not, and it was the left front, which is irrelevant because I don't park my daully pick up along sidewalks. They've recieved the last dollar they're going to get out of me. They did put the correct weights and rebalanced, but i have no idea if this work was any good as I can't drive it with the fumes coming out of my ears from the scratched rim. read more

Things have been headed south for some time at this formerly decent spot to get tires and small auto repairs in Castle Rock. Big O has really disappointed me on the last several times we have used them for both tire purchases and auto repairs. Without going into an overly long and boring rendition of events, suffice it to say that after having the transmission fluid and oil changed on one car, it "suffered" extensive leaking where there had never been a leak problem. The shop explained it wasn't due to their repairs and brought it back in to do repairs in excess of $600.00 and yes the transmission leak STILL leaks....ugh the dealer who we had to finally resort to said they damaged the casing for the filter when they changed the fluid. Next, another one of our vehicles, with a road hazard warranty from Big O, suffered damage and the shop denied coverage for the hazard saying it was not the kind of damage covered. HMMM....fool me once, twice, well now a third time I guess the blame now lies with us. The final straw was our recently purchased snow tires that are now practically bald after only 14,000 miles. Not surprisingly after our latest failures, the shop says they do not warranty these particular tires that we purchased from them. Seriously, where was that policy and disclosure when we bought the tires. Good grief...save yourselves a huge headache and shop elsewhere. PS...I believe these shops are independently owned and operated so this review is for the S. Perry Street location only. read more

Big o in castle rock can't align cars if the have mags on them, or so they say because they don't want to work on them. Funny thing is they have aligned this car before (same rims) when pressed Mike told me to take my business elsewhere and that they were washing there hand of us. I've paid this shop 90-350 per alignment for nearly two years. Mike doesn't want our business. If you have high standards maybe consider going somewhere else. pretty crappy service for a BBB accredited business. read more

I live close to the Perry Park Big O and was a bit skeptical about going there after reading a review here in Yelp. But I didn't have much choice, it was cold and getting colder and I had a tire that was constantly leaking air. It was time to feel safe. I called and talked to Chad, told him what car I had, etc. I was Price shopping while I had him on the phone. I even had him check each Consumer Reports tire I threw at him. We reached a decision and he said he could have them ready for me in 1 hour. Here's the funny part. I get there drop it off go for a walk and get a call 5 minutes later. "Mark, your car has a larger wheel "whatever" than you told us. I don't have that one in or that size in ANY brand so I sent our driver to pick up the larger size in the one we discussed. Just making sure it's okay with you because we got them at a good price but it's going to cost you 150 more?" It WAS my fault about the size and they had the tires changed in less than 30 minutes. I thought it was champion service, great warranty and an honest chat with Chad made me feel that I made the right choice. read more

It's only driven about 6 miles/day and really didn't need top of the line highway tires. We've been going to Big O for 10yrs now for tire, suspension and general engine needs........but recently they've unfortunately lost us as customers. First off -- Big O is pretty honest, won't push work on you and is great with "tires, suspension, brakes" sort of stuff. But if you need maintenance-type ENGINE WORK, bring it to a mechanic who does it for a living............we will now.... "Check engine light" came on for our F-150, took it in, after a diagnostic, they told us it's because we were at our 100k milestone - so we agreed to the work ($1,000 worth). Day after, truck started feeling like it was miss-firing, shaking, O/D acting up and losing power....so I took it back. They did another "diagnostic" test, and said it was the "torque converter" and referred me to a Transmission Specialist. It was believable because our truck is over 10yrs old and why would it be miss-firing, they gave us all new plugs. Had to get a rental car (we should charge them for it) - took it to the Transmission place, they did a diagnostic, no transmission problem at all! Their test said it was a spark plug/coil problem..something you'd think Big O would've found when I brought the truck back. We nixed bringing it back one more time and took it to another local mechanic for help, who did their own manual review of the Big O invoice.....turns out one of the new plugs burned out immediately!!! They quickly replaced it and called Big O to let them know they were fixing their job. :) Although Big O Tires 'MADE GOOD' and picked up the tab.....we've lost our love for them. We got stuck with a rental bill and time away from work to deal with what should've been caught when I brought the truck back to them. :-( read more
