Thanks to Charles at Service Street for identifying the issue with a physical inspection and test drive: a faulty lower pan gasket that had been replaced just a few months prior by my former auto repair shop and the rattle on acceleration from the exhaust manifold that was not torqued correctly. Charles also suggested that the repair should still be under warranty. And he was correct on all accounts: the former repair shop replaced the pan gasket and properly torqued the exhaust manifold at no cost. No more leaks. No more rattle. I recently changed oil in our vehicle after the…read morelast change done by Jiffy Lube -- my wife who knows nothing about cars decided to take it here instead of just letting me take care of it like I normally do. Jiffy Lube left the washer off the oil drain plug, then over-torqued it to make it not leak since the washer was missing! They also didn't bother opening the oil canister drain and replacing that O-ring like they were supposed to (WTH, the small o-ring COMES with the new filter -- guess they just threw it away?). Then adding insult to injury, they didn't bother resetting the maintenance interval. I ended up changing the oil with only 2000 miles because the oil change maintenance message came on. After I had changed the oil I pulled the sticker Jiffy Lube puts on the window and happened to look at it. Come on, resetting oil maintenance on vehicles with a maintenance computer is a STANDARD PART of an oil change! It's even called out in the maintenance manual. But hey, if they can't put on a drain plug washer -- and somehow think torquing down way beyond specs is OK...how could I expect them to do something simple like resetting computer? Go somewhere else.

Upon arriving, I was immediately helped get through the details of my repair and we were off to the races. Because I needed a ride upon departure, they provided a free shuttle (most places will not) to my residence. Once finished, they contacted me, I scheduled another shuttle to return (again, most places will not do this), and within 12 minutes, I was on my way again. Back at their shop, they explained my bill, the work they completed, and we took care of the bill. I am extremely happy that I found these guys. They provide excellent customer service, their genuinely good people, and I would recommend them to anyone needing help with their vehicle. When I declined the extensive repairs, there was no discussion of smaller, interim solutions or things I could try myself; the only suggestion was financing the full amount. The immediate next step was being asked to retrieve my vehicle. The shop was extremely busy, and I left with the impression that they prioritize large, high-cost jobs. Disappointed with the experience and lack of flexible solutions, I will not be returning. Update to my previous review: It's been two weeks since I picked up my vehicle, and I have not observed any oil on my driveway. This seems inconsistent with what I was told about the severity of the oil leak issue during my visit. I have checked the oil level multiple times and it appears to remain at the same level. After posting my initial review, I received several phone calls from the shop owner requesting that I modify my review. I eventually asked that these calls stop. Service details: I paid $180 for initial diagnostics, during which I was told there was an 80% probability that the problem was my battery cables. I then paid $235.19 for new battery cables, but it did not resolve the issue. A subsequent diagnosis costing $359.98 identified a bad ground wire, which was then repaired by tapping in a new wire. Additional observations from my service experience: When I collected my vehicle, I noticed what appeared to be a black, grease-like substance on the exterior door handle that was not present when I dropped it off. I also discovered that the front emblem was no longer attached to my vehicle. When I inquired about this inside the shop, staff located the emblem and handed it to me and told me it fell off when they closed the hood. I check my fluids every month, this has never happened to me. There was no offer to repair the damage.
