Came in for an oil change, they did a through check of the vehicle and made several needed recomendations.

I never leave reviews but here goes. This place is terrible. I needed exhaust on my car. I scheduled my appointment for a Friday at 8:00. I might have gotten there at 8:15. Easy job. They called me at 2:40 and had questions. I drive 40 minutes so i can see what they were talking about. Bottom line, they didn't want yo work on it. The bender doesn't bend the pipe right, the welder won't work, we can't find the right hangers.......... What a bunch of effin whinners. I forgot to mention, it was Friday almost 4:00pm and it was a beautiful day. Just say you want to go home. Lazy!!!! Effin Lazy ass workers! I wouldn't let this shop put air in my tires. Worthless. Paid for alignment, and after they could not do it, charged me an additional $242 for a diagnosis. That diagnosis was wrong and even after admitting it, manager would not fix the vehicle or refund my money and just told me to leave and never come back. Horrible assessment and bad customer service. We experienced an unfortunate issue with our 5 year old Ford Edge. Out of nowhere & after warranty ended just 2 months ago, the engine blew out. Master Tech at Midas did a full diagnostic. We weren't informed about the Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) which would have helped with our trade-in at the dealership. Ethan (owner) took the time to call me & discuss what happened. We came into Midas today to have a car looked at was making a noise underneath the engine compartment. Mike the manager was very understanding and put our car right up on the lift and put a couple fasteners in the skid plate for the engine. He also checked all four tires in inflated up to standard operating pressure. Scheduled a routine oil change, per this Midas doing the previous oil change and per their recommendation. Last $50 oil change turned into a $2800 break issue. and oil change charge. No other issues on a 6 y/o Jeep with 35000 miles. Today, a $50 oil change was culminating into a $1400 issue, for an oil leakage that they didn't see months ago. then was asked if I saw oil spots in my garage, etc. I have not, but makes me think I will now????????? Brought in my 2023 Kia K5 to get an oil change twice here. I was told it would be reported to Carfax and it was in fact not either times. The second time I came to get an oil change they did not put back all the bolts for the plastic cover under the vehicle and it has now caused it to crack since it was just hanging. I was in from out of town. On my way to Castle Rock I noticed a faint growling noise when braking. I got an appointment the next day and they confirmed that there were no issues. We suspect I picked up sand in the pads when driving through dust storms south of Pueblo. The best part is they didn't charge me for the inspection. A few weeks ago I had some brake work done at another Midas location in Aurora. Whiile driving around in Castle Rock today I noticed my brakes where making noises. Since I did not want to take a chance and drive my car to Aurora, I stopped into this location. The shop was busy but they agreed to inspect the brakes. After Buddy inspected my brakes, it was determined that my rear rotors were bad. The other shop in Aurora was contacted and agreed to cover the cost of the parts. The Midas warranty was honored and the rear pads and rotors were replaced free of charge while I waited. I really appreciated the level of service and care that was provided. I walked into the shop distressed and the shop was busy. Sherry was extremely understanding, helpful and professional. Very good honest people! The absolute WORST ever. If I could give zero stars I would. 1. They took forever for a simple oil change. 2. My husband waited thru the service and when they finally finished, they wanted him to leave his credit card info because their card reader wasn't working. Umm...no! He drove to the ATM and paid in cash. 3. When he got home and I got in the passenger seat, I noticed a huge oil mark on my center console arm rest. I called to tell them and to see if we could bring it by to get cleaned. They never called back. We got it cleaned on our own but there is still a mark. 4. 3 days later the oil change light came on! 5. We brought it elsewhere to get another oil change since we weren't sure what they had done at that point. 6. I've gone from an average of 22-23 mpg to 18 mpg in the 2 months since then. 7. Brought my car in for it's brakes as I heard a grinding sound during hard stopping. After evaluation, I received a phone call from Buddy telling me the front brakes were good and the rear brakes were still within acceptable specs but were very close to the end of their life. It would have been easy for them to sell me on needing both front and rear brakes....but instead they called to tell me I didn't need to replace them at all! Of course with the rears being so close I still got them replaced. One word......INTEGRITY! I replaced a part or two, still the check engine light came on. Took the car to Midas, they put it on their computer and an hour later, its the new MAF sensor, I put in. If I could give them no stars, I would. I brought my car there, paid them $1500, my check engine light was still on when I picked up the car so they reset it. 5 minutes later it came back on again. I brought it back down and they diagnosed my car with something new...my O2 sensor needed to be replaced they said. I didn't buy it so I took my car to another mechanic. Guess what? My O2 sensor is just fine and the check engine light is on because they never fixed the problem! I am now paying for the problem to be fixed...again and I am waiting for a call from the district manager. Will update this review when resolved. read more
