I tried out Grasso's for the first time last night and it was pretty good. We got a half cheese/pepperoni pizza with an order of medium and bbq wings. The pizza itself was pretty good although too much dough especially on the outside. That's a me thing nothing against them as that's just how they do it. The sauce was good but not great and didn't have a ton of flavor I didn't' think. Cheese was great and the pepperoni's were spicy and delicious! The medium wing sauce didn't taste like medium or much for that matter despite being pretty saucy. The bbq was very tasty and I liked the grilled char to the wings. Despite the tasty sauces on the bbq wings, both types of wings were cooked to that done but still rubbery kind of skin texture some wing places do and I just found it disappointing. I want my wings to have that crunch and done sort of texture to it for me to really love it. All in all, not bad I'd get it again or try other things for sure, but they wouldn't be my first choice either. read more

Our cravings for garlic Parmesan wings led us searching the neighborhood. We found them here at Grasso's . They were everything we hoped for! Huge,Cheesy,crunchy,garlicky finger licking good wonders! Extremely disappointed. We had a get together for Halloween and ordered about $135 in food just to end up with a bucket of barely cooked wings...that were initially ordered xx-crispy. The pizza was good, the chicken fingers I ordered were supposed to be extra saucy but definitely weren't. I know they were busy yesterday but that doesn't make subpar food any more acceptable. My guests barely ate the wings and they were so soggy we had to check to see if they were even fully cooked, even with travel time for delivery if they were cooked extra extra crispy they wouldn't have been that soggy. If you like "O's", particularly multiple O's, then I'm your man. Unless you like Grass O's, which would be O's enjoyed while high on marijuana, in which case I am not your man because I'm not into drugs. But more power to you. Grasso's is very average pizza, and in a city like Buffalo, average pizza is akin to bad pizza, because we have so much good pizza. For example, Pizza Heist (yum!) is just a mile or so away from here. I also don't like the service. The guys working in here were not particularly friendly. He had issues with heating my slice up and even then it was lukewarm. He charged me (in my opinion) way too much for a few breadsticks that were just about to be thrown out anyway. However the breadsticks were decent, the pizza slice was fairly priced, it was huge, and my friend (who I shared it with) thought it was good. It was very cheesy, a little bland, a little congealed, there wasn't too much flavour to it. I'd describe it as basic. Definitely not a work of art, and could have used more spice and flavour. Nevertheless, the place is open late, the slices are huge, and you could do a lot worse, financially and taste-wise, than snacking on a slice from here. And if you really do like Grasso's, then I should probably tell you that I have it on good authority from my friends in Los Angeles that Cokeo's are even better. read more

So I'm really glad I decided to give this place a try tonight. Ordered a personal pizza and fingers. Fingers were extra crispy and the hot bbq was on point. The pepperoni pizza and fingers from Grasso's is in my opinion better than Picasso's. And I've been going to Picasso's for a long time. Did I forget to mention there's a drive through? Ordered food on line. The estimated delivery was 6:15; first call to inquire was at 6:45 told it left 30 minutes prior and it was part of 5 deliveries taken out. Second call at 7:15 asked to cancel the order and the employee hung up on me. Called back same voice answers the phone claims to be the manager and tells me the order went out at 6:35. I get it was busy but if you can drive to Erie and back in the amount of time it takes to have a pizzeria deliver there is defiantley a problem. Consistently delicious Buffalo pizza. The pepperoni does that wonderful nothing where it curls up and blackens on the edges. Mushrooms are always fresh. only place I go for this stuff. Orders are on time and accurate. When you come in, the employees are always friendly, even when they are crazy busy. With so many pizza and wings joints in the area, you have to be a step above to survive. Young girl at window, rude and making faces as she turned away. Asked to speak to mgr. who also seemed to care less . Would have gladly just pulled away but, had already prepaid. No apologies of any kind ! Another occasion, got there to be handed a sub and a salad ! Didn't order a salad and had to wait for them to make the other 2 subs. They were brought out to my vehicle. Again, no apologies . Whatever ! I just wanted to go home ! Last night, final straw !! My usual order of subs, prepaid. Got to window only to be told they were just finishing my order. Would i go back to end of line behind to cars and return to window...? Was told i could not just pull up and wait for my order to be brought out. Was told they couldn't bring outside, i would have to come inside. So.. back to end of drive thru line and wait for 2 other cars to pick up their order. We used to order from grasso's pizza ALL THE TIME. We stopped for awhile because the food was sloppy and lettuce on subs would be brown and tasted rotten. So we just stopped. Well, for my second review of Grasso's, my rating remains unchanged. We ordered a Cheese, Pepperoni & Mushroom pizza. First off, it tasted really good, which is why my rating remains 3 stars. The sauce, cheese and toppings were all very, very good. But for the second time, the pizza was extraordinarily messy. I simply could not hold one of the slices. And it was not a pizza with lots of toppings, so I can't give them a pass for that this time. I may try them again in the future but I'll wait awhile.
