Amazing prices and even better food! My mom and I were craving subs for dinner and decided to order from Moon's as they're close to my parent's house and came recommended after a quick Google search. I chose a ham sub and my mom got a chicken hoagie. We also got fries to share. My sub was delicious. It looked like it was made with care, and it tasted so good. The perfect balance between meat, produce, and cheese! My mom loved her sub too and the fries were so crispy and fresh. Subs were something like $5 or $6 which is genuinely a steal in this economy. I'd love to try their pizza and wings. If they're as good as the subs were, that'll solidify this place as a true hidden gem in the Depew area. If you're near Moon's, you've gotta give them a try. Was moving and I still haven't been here yet heard good things! So I ordered a sheet pizza and a large one and a ham sub! Pizza was great plenty of cheese and pepperoni everyone asking where did I get it ! My daughter loved her sub plenty of ham and vegetables. After hearing about their great specials, specifically the 3 subs and large pizza for $24, we had to check it out. We ordered 2 hots subs, the Italian sausage and a steak sub, both with provolone cheese. Lol that actually was the only cheese choice but luckily we like it. We requested grilled peppers and onions on both and they came with very generous portions. No extra charge though the menu said there would be. We also ordered the assorted (ham, turkey, and salami) cold sub with the standard toppings, lettuce, tomato, etc. All subs were served on Costanzo rolls. Not sure what kind of Italian sausage they use but it had just the right amount of spice. Combined with the cheese, peppers , and onions it tasted great. My husband seemed to enjoy his steak sub. We didn't touch the cold sub. Lunch tomorrow. For the pizza we ordered the cheese and pepperoni. Nothing much to say about the pizza. The sauce was a little too sweet for my taste and the crush was 'ok'. Not sure if I'd make a special trip there for the pizza. Overall, decent place. Quick and super friendly service. I am literally torn on writing this review for the simple reason that Moon's Pizza needs as many good reviews as it most definitely deserves, but the more people know about it then I may have to wait longer for their awesome food. This is truly a hidden Gem, sitting in a small strip mall near Tops on Transit you'd easily pass by it without knowing it's here. Their menu is simple, not overloaded with complicated varieties of Sandwiches and Pizza, but a more streamlined selection of Hot and Cold Subs covering the standards, along with a streamlined selection of Pizza choices also. But that is why I think the food is so good and the prices are so reasonable. Keep it simple, make good food for reasonable pricing and if someone want's Maple Dipped Pepperoni Pizza on a Gluten Free, Vegetable crust from ingredients sourced from the mountains of Peru, there are local places that will accommodate. But for me ? I want a good Cheese and Pep Pizza, a nice selection of hot and cold subs on fresh bread and not break the bank......as such Moon's Pizza is my go to. read more

Great pizza place and you can't beat the prices! I live relatively close to this pizza shop and decided to pick up some lunch on the way home from shopping. I was surprised to get 2 full subs and pizza logs for only $17! Moon's offers hot and cold subs for only $5! I picked up a ham sub and chicken finger for my boyfriend. Both were delicious. The pizza logs were great as well....pretty average but I enjoyed them. My boyfriend wanted to try the pizza but they don't sell it by the slice, so we couldn't try that. I may have to order a pizza next time Overall I recommend this place because they are quick (while order took only 10 minutes) and they're really cheap. Just tried Moons pizza for the first time. Customer service A+++++++. I got the special of Pizza and 3 subs and also added another sub on. All for $45.44. Can't beat the price. Food was good and will definitely go back. Only put 4 stars cause I asked for extra Mayo & light oil on all the subs and someone had a very heavy hand. I expect a little drip but the whole wrapper was drenched. By the time I got home(10 mins), all the subs were soaks in oil to the point lettuce was wilted and bread soggy. Actually threw out one sub cause I couldn't save it cause the oil got on the whole outside of sub. Plus all the oil made it too overpowering to eat. read more

SOUND THE ALARM--WE FOUND IT!! Buffalo's BEST cheap local pizza and subs!! I noticed a recent review of Moon's that sung its cheap-and-tasty praises, so we had to give it a try. They don't seem to have a website, so we went straight to the shop to study the menu and order at the counter. We went with the three whole subs and large pizza special for JUST TWENTY-FOUR DOLLARS!! And it's any of the whole subs, both hot and cold, which includes all the cold-cut options you expect, plus all the hot subs!! The gentleman working the counter and cooking was very friendly, and also very accommodating in making an off-menu veggie sub for our vegan. So we got the veggie sub, a cheeseburger sub, and a steak sub, with a cheese and pepperoni pizza. It was about a half-hour wait, and everything was hot when we got it home. The pizza was tasty, plenty of pepperoni and cheese. I prefer a saucier pizza, and next time will ask for extra sauce. The subs were pretty good too. They're all on toasted Costanzo rolls. Our vegan really enjoyed her veggie sub, she wolfed the whole thing. The meat subs were yummy as well, not a ton of meat, but for the deal, definitely reasonable. If you don't need a whole special's worth of food, the regular price for a large one-topping pizza is just $11.50, and whole subs are only $5.25!! If you do need a lot of chow, they have pizza and wing specials too, starting at just $21.99 for a large one-topping and twenty wings!! I love a bargain, but what's even better than a bargain is a bargain that still stands up on quality, too. Needed a cheap pizza fix price of seems right however menu posted a bit outdated. I called and spoke to the gentleman who I believe is the owner who is very patient and hopeful with explaining the newest prices. I ordered the sheet Pizza and the 15 chicken fingers special for pickup came to $32 and some change. You cannot beat that price anywhere wasn't expecting great food however with that price. But I was very pleasantly surprised the pizza very fresh soft chewy dough just how I like. Chicken fingers very good size quality good however the breading didn't seem to stand up to the mild sauce I requested. But still for the price very great however did not come with french fries nor celery blue cheese did come with the fingers very fresh homemade very generous 3 or four cups came with the fingers. When picking up the food now owner was very kind and very polite answered the questions that I asked. However when I'm in Depew once again I will definitely be back like I said for the price and the service it gets no better anywhere in the city or in the suburbs of Buffalo New York read more

I have been living in Lancaster now for a few months and when our "usual" pizza joint was closed for renovations...we were looking for a new joint. We had never heard of moons but saw that on Yelp it had 4.5 out of 5 stars...so we gave it a try....very pleasantly surprised...excellent pizza and wings....closer to our house and 10 bucks cheaper than what we usually pay at our usual joint...I think we have a new pizza place! read more

Unfortunately, I've noticed that the line is consistently busy on Tuesday nights causing us to not be able to order. :( Hopefully this isn't the case a little later tonight when we try to place our order :) **Edit: The lines were indeed busy. I've been coming to this place for a couple of years now since moving to Depew. I'll try to keep this straight to the point. 1) owner is super personal and friendly. Always on a first name basis as soon as I walk or call. (This rubs off on the staff as well) 2) price is simply unmatched. PERIOD!!! 3) food is as good if not BETTER than most places charging 2-3x as much. Moons is a great place! You truly can't beat the prices! We order from there all the time and the person that owns it is really friendly and they are quick. A full sub on a constans roll is only $4.50 and that includes hot and cold subs! The apps are all really great. 8 Mozz stix for $4.99 is an amazing price. Also their specials for pizza and wings/fingers/apps are ridiculously cheap! I can't stress enough how great the prices are but, the food is also amazing! I have paid more at other pizzerias in Depew/Lancaster for less quality food. If you are in the Depew area, I highly recommend giving them a call and ordering up a couple subs and apps.
