This place rocks! After moving to the area from Buffalo, Moons has become my favorite go to take out. Everything I've tried from the pizza and the wings to the absolutely fabulous (and ridiculously inexpensive) subs have me hooked. I couldn't make subs this good and this inexpensively at home. I took a chance on moon's pizza even though there were only two reviews, and I am glad I did. I called to inquire about pizza & wings specials and their price was $10-15 less than others for the same food. Figured we would try it, as the price was right. We arrive at the restaurant a little early and the owner was working. While the shop was empty when we arrived, a steady parade of customers picked up food while we waited. The owner knew each and every one by name, which we complimented him on. When our food was finished,he took great pride in presenting us with our pizza and wings, and off we went The food was great! As far as a sheet pizza and wings go, I don't know that there is better in the buffalo area. We will be going here again, for sure! read more

Most affordable subs and they taste better then the over priced ones spread thru out the town, I come here all the way from the opposite side of town just to get my fix, the owner treats his customers like family and always has a smile on his face. Moons has been a pizza place that we've gone to for a long time. Great food and great value. My only complaint is every single time we go, it's never ready at said time. If we're told 20 min. We add on another 5-10 or else we know we'll be waiting. My other gripe is I see them making subs and handling food without gloves on. I'm far from a germaphobic but being in the food industry, hands touch everything from shaking peoples hand, to handling money, and I can't help but be grossed out by that. read more

I'm so glad I read the reviews and tried moons. The pizza was delicious with that really good pepperoni , the crust was tasty not bland and the sauce was spot on. The wings were huge, cooked perfect and the medium was a nice spicy but not to hot . This will be my new go to for pizza and the price was outstanding ! read more

You will likely be a repeat customer and soon they'll know your favorites. Subs are on a costanzo roll, fresh, cheap and good. Pizza is great. Specials are cheap. I've tried a few different pizza places and I finally found a good pizza place in the Lancaster area that lives up to the tradition of what Western New York is known for, their great food! Moon's pizza is made the way pizza is supposed to be made and their wings are awesome too! It's just a small place but the best places are the small, independently owned ones, in my personal opinion. Moon's is my go-to sub place now that I have moved in to this area of WNY. With a an approximate $5 sub charge, I half expected day old rolls with dollar store sweaty meat in a plastic death chamber wrap. But, instead, it compares to or beats any local sub shop as far as quality and taste is concerned and at half the cost. It even beats subway and you can barely call those, "subs." Those things are like sticky pads for meat products. But at Moon's, you get a genuinely nice owner, who manages a 5-stat rating because he gets what it is like to be in a service industry and he understands that quality and cost will intersect somewhere. Moon's is the one rest stop before you are forced to take a left or right from the fork in the road between flavor and dollars to spend. Try my favorite - the steak and cheese. Juicy SEASONED steak, fresh rolls, crisp veggies or maybe the pizza sub, which is always a hit with the kids without the commitment of a large pizza which has all of one piece taken out. Not once have I been disappointed with any one of their offerings. If there is a question as to whether or not you should try them out, let this be a lesson to you when you pay $45 for 4 subs and you have buyers remorse 1 bite in. read more

As a college student who loves subs but has little cash to spare, life seemed quite bleak for a while. Then I was introduced to Moon's. Although living just around the corner from this little pizza place for years, I had never been here until a friend of mine recommended it on the basis that it was cheap and very tasty. I was skeptical at first; surely no decent sub could be as cheap as $4.50. But I gave it a chance and was pleasantly surprised that the sandwiches here were just as good, if not better, than my previous favorite sub shop's. The owner is an amazingly friendly person and every employee is so personal to the customers (as opposed to other places like Picasso's where they barely give you a second glance and probably spit in your food when you complain that your order is screwed up, as usual). I am more of a sandwich and side person (mmmmm pizza logs), but the pizza here is great too, especially the crust! Do yourself a favor and try Moon's because you will not be disappointed. read more

I would give no stars if I could. Ordered pizza and wings and fries, was repeated on phone for accuracy. Told 45 min. An hour and 15 min later my order was finally done. They never bothered making the fries and told me be longer if I wanted them. Never mind! I get home and the pizza is cold and hard. Big disappointment in service. read more

Best prices in town! The steak hoagie is the best that I have had EVER!! The pizza is okay, but for the price you can't complain. They have a daily special of 3 subs, large pizza and 2 liter of pop for $23, that price cannot be beat. All subs $4.50 and they are good sized subs. Also I cannot forget that the owner is one of the nicest men I have ever met! I will continue to sing their praises and order from here. read more
