Ronny's might be the winner for my favorite Chicken Finger Sub in the area. This was phenomenal. I ordered it for pick up as we were on our way home and it was ready by the time I pulled into the parking lot. The sub was delicious. The chicken fingers were cooked perfectly and had a good amount of heat on them. I also ordered a slice of pizza and an order of fries. The crinkle cut fries came in a huge bag and were salty and crunchy. The pizza was great as well. It was a fresh slice and the cheese was perfectly gooey. Food is always good. We love the pizza and chicken wings here. Service is good and delivery is usually within the hour but can be quicker. We have never eaten in there we take out or have it delivered. Ambiance is wherever you want to be since it is a pick up. Parking is hard not many spots but the cars move quickly as they get served. Ordered breadsticks and the lady who took my order kept saying pizza. After 10-15 minutes, I received the "breadsticks". They were literally hot dog buns with garlic. They even opened on the side and everything. Definitely not what we ordered. Disappointed to say the least. read more

The thing about Buffalo is that we have so many amazing pizza options and I've tried MANY of them. I was so incredible underwelmed with this flavorless, dry, pre-frozen pizza that it easily gets placed in my bottom 2 worst pizzas I've ever had. The sauce was dry, the crust was flavorless & we could still see the individual shreds of cheese because it wasn't cooked enough. It almost tasted like a large pizza lunchable. We ended up throwing away half of it. The wings were okay. A little slimy with very little crispiness. The BBQ sauce and the Hot sauces they used were good. I personally didn't care for the blue cheese, it was watery and you don't get to the chunks until you drain the liquid and get to the bottom. I like to be able to dip my wing and have some stay on the wing but this dripped everywhere. Ordered the Wednesday pizza special for 11.99 and a 10 piece medium wing on the eve of Thanksgiving. HOW they can do a pizza for that price is beyond me. It's great and gobbled up . Ronny's get a gold star. Our food tonight was especially good! The bbq wings were perfectly charred. They were still piping hot when we got them home and were just the right amount of sticky-meaty goodness. Ronny's is one of the few places you can count on for consistently good wings. The fries were golden and crisp on the outside, hot and soft inside- ever bite like perfectly fried pillows of potato. And to top it off were the new apple logs with icing with can only be described as a more delicious apple empanada rolled like an egg roll filled with a hot apple pie type filling served with a sweet gooey icing. I picked up the best looking vegetarian pizza I've ever seen in my life! The toppings were piled high, and FULLY covered the pizza, no skimping at all. I got it all over my face when I was inside Folsom Prison. Oh wait. I'm supposed to be talking about Pizza. The pizza here certainly wasn't awful but it also wasn't great. They have some major customer service issues... just in the time I was there, the person in front of me waited ages only to find out they'd made the wrong order for her. I was behind her and only wanted a slice, I probably waited 10 minutes before I was asked what I wanted. The slice was heated up a little but not nearly hot enough for me. I had another customer service issue the 3rd time I came here which was that they told me on the phone a fresh slice pie was coming out, but when I got there, the pizza was stale and old and cold. She gave me 2 for the price of 1 which was lovely of her, but I'm not sure why they told me that on the phone just 15 mins earlier. The people are nice though, and the pizza is not bad... pretty average Buffalo pizza. So why do I keep going back? Because they seem to be open later than the others in the area, so when I want a slice (usually for friends), they end up getting "frequented". All that aside, I have nothing against this pizza place and I wish them luck, but I much prefer the one across the street. OK, I said before I was done with them, but my wife saw that they were now offering a thin crust pizza so I decided to try them again. So we ordered the thin crust pizza and wings, and both were very good. Ronny's always did have great wings, but I really liked the thin crust pizza. The pizza was cheese and pepperoni, and I liked the sauce, which was not sweet for a change. I'm not a fan of sweet sauce, so I was happy with that. The crust is just right and being thin, baked thoroughly. In short, Ronny's pizza and wings are both very good. I still cannot recommend the other items on the menu. read more

We have walked or driven past this place many, many times, especially since our mechanic is across the street. Finally ordered takeout after smelling the fries on an evening walk. Delivery was great and smooth, the delivery guy was polite and professional despite us not having a functioning door bell, I wish I had caught his name. The Wednesday night special was a large pizza plus a topping of our choice. I'm a sucker for a thick pizza, which this definitely was. The fries were good too, not exceptional, but good. As a sidenote, I really liked that the pizza wasn't super greasy and didn't fall apart while we ate it. I look forward to stopping in again when that's possible. read more

I can't say I am a fan of their pizza, but I don't go there for that. I lived around the corner and would order their chicken fingers religiously. Since moving to florida (where they have no idea what chicken fingers are, imagine Tyson chicken tenders, yuck!) so when I visited this past weekend, I made my mom trek from tonawanda to Lancaster to get my fix, and I was NOT disappointed. Ordered pizza and wings this past weekend from Ronny's for the first time in years and was pleasantly surprised! Probably the best wings I've had in many years. Lots of sauce on them and it tasted like the oil it was cooked in had been recently changed. Didn't have a greasy taste or smell. Just the right amount of crispness to them. Pizza was good as well, sauce was decent (crust a little bland but I dip it in blue cheese anyway which was excellent). I ordered a Sausage Supreme sub a few days ago, and when I got home it was wrong. They made just a plain Italian sausage. So I called and they tell me they can make a new one or give me a credit. I didn't feel like waiting, so I just took the credit. Tonight I get a sub and call and asked to use my credit, and they were fine with it. Which they usually are very good about. When I get home this time the sausage supreme, is completely burnt. All you taste is burnt sausage.This is my usual go to with them. But this one you can't even eat. Not a fan. Sauce is spicier than the spicy pepperoni. Dough is unremarkable but tastes yeasty. Overall a weird mix of flavors that does not appeal to my palate. I have lived close to this pizzaria for 6 years, and we used to get pizza from them all the time. Service is usually good. I also do appreciate that they contribute to fundraisers on occasion. However, about 2 or 3 years ago, when I ordered a large cheese and pepperoni, the pizza was overcooked. I am not one for burnt/hard cheese so it was quite a disappointment the first time. However, I try and give them sporadic orders, but have been disappointed every time, as our pizza has been overcooked EVERY TIME. Other food is good, such as subs and fried food. Had the food for the first time last night. One of my co-workers brought in a sheet pizza cheese pep and 50 hot wings. Several of us ate and didn't leave any scraps. Pizza was perfect Buffalo style pizza crisp pepperoni and a solid cook on it. The wings were nice sized had a perfect hot flavor. I grew up on Ronny's, and have ordered from there at least once a year my whole life. Their soft tacos (yes at a pizza joint) are awesome. Their subs & wings are top notch. Nothing outstanding within WNY, but if you're a displaced Buffalonian like me, it's exactly what you miss & love.
