I was happy to see Brandon G.'s review for Joey's new Lent season fish fry. Everyone loves Joey's!! My husband works in the area, so he grabbed one on the way home. It definitely did not disappoint! The fish is huge, with a nice crunchy batter that didn't sog even on the car ride home. They give you a ton of fries. The mac salad and coleslaw are homemade and perfect, the portions of them are small but there is sooo much food overall that you can't complain. They even make their own delicious tartar sauce!! Fish Fry season is upon us so let us dive into the first review of the season! This time I tried a new spot. Joey's introduced a fish fry this year and since they are my go-to pizza spot, I had to give it a try. We ordered take out and it was like waiting for Christmas on the first Fish Fry Friday of the year. It arrived very hot still and it looked great. The fish was a good size, it came with a lot of fries, a large slice of rye bread and a side of tartar sauce. It also came with two small side cups of mac salad and coleslaw. My only complaint is that I wish the sides were bigger. They were delicious and I needed a few more bites. The fish was crispy and had a great flavor. The fries from Joey's are always great too. I was very happy we started the season off with such a great spot. Fish fry season is competitive but I'd definitely come back for another one soon! read more

For a couple years, Joey's Pizza was practically the only pizza shop I went to. In early 2025, I had a few pies, in a row, that weren't cooked right, so I decided to give them a break. After 11 months, I was craving Joey's, and I'm happy to say, it tasted like the first time - Excellent! I called on a Saturday around 4:45pm and placed my pick-up order. The gentleman who answered was incredibly friendly and did a great job answering a question I had and accommodating me. At the end, he told me it'd be ready in 25 minutes. I arrived around 30 minutes later and was able to walk in, pay and pick-up, and walk out in less than two minutes. I love the aesthetic inside, it feels like a time capsule from the 1980's/1990's, a classic charm to it. The gentleman who cashed me out knew my order already, it made me feel like I hadn't taken my break from them. haha For dinner, I went with a favorite of mine - a small (12", eight slice, but I requested it be cut into six slices) Vincenzo Pizza, which is stuffed hot peppers with steak and cheese. Note that has no red sauce! So the reason I gave them a break was because the dough was undercooked on a few pizzas, in a row, which ultimately made me feel sick to my stomach, I didn't want to keep feeling sick. I'm extremely happy to say this pizza was cooked perfectly! The dough was cooked properly and retained the Buffalo-style with it being on the airy/doughy-side but not wet, soggy especially towards the center. The toppings were plenty generous with plenty of cut/diced stuffed banana peppers, steak, and plenty of cheese. After frequenting a few other pizza places and their small-sizes being cut into six slices, I definitely prefer six slices over eight slices as it makes each slice seem more substantial, especially since I'm the only one eating it. :) The key is remembering to request it being cut into six slices. As usual, the size was perfect and filled me up, while not leaving me over-full. I did notice the prices rose about a dollar, or around that, from nearly a year ago, but Joey's Pizza's prices are still very reasonable. I'm so glad I had a great experience at Joey's Pizza, from their friendly customer service to an excellently cooked, generously topped pizza! I'll have to do more "research" and have a few more pizzas to ensure consistency in quality, but I'm more than happy to do that for the people. :) read more

Joey's offers good stuff. From Buffalo style pizza, subs and wings, through salads and even wraps. Their traditional cup and char pepperoni pizza is one of the best I tried. I'm not even trying to be nice. That's true. We recently ordered a large Three Cheese Steak specialty pizza with our choice of banana peppers. It was a birthday celebration, and we decided to get on a wild side. It was uber delicious! Even the onion, which was in a generous amount, was unusually mild with a slight crunch, oh! Delectable! Plus, Joey's pizza dough is always perfectly crispy on the outside, chewy and pleasantly fluffy on the inside. Pure heaven. Their pizza is dangerous. It's easy to forget how many pieces you've already eaten. However, for a special occasion, I'd like something more thoughtfully prepared. For example, some of us commented that the ingredients weren't evenly distributed. This didn't bother me, as I preferred pieces with the least amount of meat, but still. I remember being dissatisfied when our one topping mushroom pizza had the same issue in the past. I believe not everyone has a problem with that, but we do. We also got Assorted Cold Sub and Antipasto Salad. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Joe's is worth trying. People have loved Joe's for over a half century already. Joeys pizza! One of my favorite pizza places since I was old enough to remember. While I no longer live in the neighborhood, I always look forward to Joeys pizza when I do come out this way. Their pizza is so cheesy and always loaded with pepperoni. The guys working are also friendly and service is quick. It's been a long time since I've had Joeys and I've been missing out! The Vincenzo pizza was amazing and I wish I would have ordered a large! We tried that , a small cheese and pep with 10 wing combo, and a side of fries and all were top tier! The wings were perfectly crispy, and large in size , the fries were also crispy and had really good flavor. Our order was ready in 25 min and we got there a little later but everything was kept warm and delicious. The staff was always friendly and that was the same great service this time around. We love Joey's pizza, so we were excited to stop by for a small pie and wings. We went to the George Urban location because I grew up a few streets away and and stopped in to say hi to my parents! Now I'm actually closer to the Broadway location. Both are excellent, with fresh ingredients and wonderful service. The wings we ordered were honey mustard and hot sauce. They dont have it listed but they will mix the two together and i highly recommend it. The small pizza had pepperoni, mushroom, jalapeños and hot cherry peppers. We like spice! Service is always good here, the guys are friendly and also really quick with cashing you out. Also nice on the phone when taking orders. The pizza itself is usually pretty consistent. Today's pizza was a little dry and overcooked but nothing beats the taste of their cheese. Don't let this tiny building fool you. They put out some real good 'zah. Perfected Buffalo crust and not overly cheesy. Also tried their chicken cordon bleu sub. I recommend ordering it with blue cheese and the fingers tossed in hot bbq. FYI - their hot bbq is definitely more sweet than spicy. This is a satisfying sub with the layers of fingers, ham, cheese, and veg. All and all, adding this spot to my "Great Buffalo Pizzas" list. read more

I've had Joey's twice now and its pretty good. Food doesn't take long and was ready as promised when ordering. Staff was cool. I got a steak pizza recently and it was very good. Stopped in here to buy a large pizza and 20 wings to take to the guys working down the street at Walczak's. Just my way of saying thank you for helping me and my student when we dumped our motorcycles in front of their shop during rush hour *facepalm emoji* But the order smelled so good when we picked it up and were driving it down the road, we came back and got lunch after delivering lunch to the guys. My 500th review On my visit for my Elite perk, I decided to order a mini tuna sub. The sub was made by the hardworking owner himself, which made me feel special. I need something for lunch, consistent, quality, average pricing, decent size sub. Went to Joeys for the Yelp opportunity. Never been, and I was very impressed by the worker. It was a little confusing arriving there, and accidentally walked into the kitchen at first. The place was nice. Only a couple tables, which is fine, because I was driving back to work. Server was helpful and very kind, he even sent me out with a pile of napkins; very kind. I ordered cheese & pep slices, and they were fine. While it had some zest to it, there was a certain flavoring to it that was missing. I was less thrilled that when I arrived at my destination to eat, most of the napkins were used to soak up the puddled grease - a far greater level than I am used to, with pizza I usually order. I was pleasantly surprised by Joeys! We grabbed two slices of cheese & pepperoni pizza and some bbq boneless wings. The pizza was pretty good! It had the cup and char pepperonis and the sauce to cheese ratio was good. I typically Ike my crust on the softer side but I would get pizza from them again. The boneless wings were good too, but I could have done with a little more sauce. Overall though, the food was good, the staff we friendly and the prices were definitely reasonable. Sounds odd but this place just reeks Buffalo pizza spot. Big friendly dudes serving up delicious pies. I called and placed an order. I was told 20 minutes. Perfect since my ride from work would take exactly that long. Food was ready when I showed up. It also traveled well. This is exactly how I like my pizza. Thick gooey cheese and a tasty sauce with the beautiful curled 'ronis. I ordered a turkey club but the bacon was not there. Turkey sub was great. Nice thick real turkey. I recently visited Joey's for a Yelp event and also ordersome fries on the side. The staff was extremely friendly, the prices very very affordable, and the pizza was cheesier than normal. If you like Buffalo style pizza, this place is very much what you are looking for. I was a bigger of the french fries. For roughly $4.50, I received this large box of deliciously seasoned fries. Turkey sub had one piece of turkey and tasted like chemicals. Could only stomach one bite before throwing the whole thing out.

Ordered pizza, fingers and 2 subs, ready in the 25 minutes as stated. Pizza was nice, could have had a little more sauce, cup snd char pepperoni, chicken fingers are good quality chicken and cooked to perfection. Benny sub was so big, hubby could not finish it. This is a well-deserved review, and I couldn't wait to get to it. First, let me say I have been near this place MANY times and never tried the food. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized this was the place. This place is pretty small in a very small strip on George Urban. There is plenty of parking for the busy lot. But it seems like a neighborhood favorite, and I was impressed to hear the gentleman who greeted me to refer to people by name. I advised him that I was part of the Yelp Elite event, and he quickly obtained the sheets to verify my info. I also ordered a double order of garlic parm wings. I was very clear on how I liked them, and he listened and gave me a time to come back to pick up my order. By the time I walked back in, there was a pretty large crowd of people waiting to order or pick up. I was quickly acknowledged and given my order. Now to the good part. The FOOD THE PIZZA was pretty good. I have a teen who met me at the door and claimed a slice immediately. He isn't picky as most are ... but he did say it was pretty good. I am a tough sell ... I consider myself a pizza snob. I must say the crust was good. Not too thick, and the sauce had a sweetness without being too heavy. I usually prefer a double cheese, but the special was for a regular slice. The flavor was good, and there is nothing better than plenty of pepperoni with slightly burned edges. Now for the wings ... another thing I am a snob about. I don't like it when restaurants have those super huge wings. These were perfect, realistic, actually. They were cooked extra crispy as I asked, and that was very much appreciated. This was the first time I've ordered from Joeys and I'm not impressed. They charged $23 for 10 chicken fingers. At first glance as you will See in the pictures they looked alright but when you moved the first two the rest were the size of boneless wings and there were only 10! The owner is always hard-working and the staff are so friendly. This place has an excellent pizza, their wings are always consistently great and their steak hoagie is hands-down the best one that I have had in years. All of their subs are great but I really love the chicken finger sub and the turkey club sub in addition to the steak hoagie. Everything is always fresh and plentiful just the way buffalo sub should be. They are always busy but never running late and expected pick up time or delivery. I'm so happy to see a local business that does such a good business in the community. I hope that they are there for many years to come. I know they have been there for a long time already but I wish them all the best because they are really the best pizzeria in the vicinity and surrounding neighborhood. read more
