Sorry to say but this place is going downhill. Chicken finger subs were inedible, burnt, dry. Had to throw out Would the manager eat the burnt food? I don't think so.first time I ever threw out a whole dinner

I ordered pizza lunch for my movers today. I'm new to Buffalo so I just picked a nearby place at random. Pepperoni pizza is not my favorite - kinda boring - but this was the best darn pizza I have had in a while. Good cheese and sauce ratio, good pepperoni, crust done perfectly, and arrived scalding hot. I will be ordering again!

Good solid thin crust cheese pizza may not be your favorite but its the best way to judge the overall quality of the product ingredients and preparation. From dough to sauce to cheese DiPaulo's makes a very good pizza, one the vast majority of people will find no fault with. I was able to pick it up within 15mins of ordering as there is no dine-in currently available. Give'm a try I believe you will be satisfied.

Looks like they offer DP. Coincidentally so do I.

If I'm in a shopping center, I'll have a MALL-O If I'm playing soccer, and I score, I have a BALL-O If Wall-E changed names maybe he would be WALL-O And hold on, it's my phone, I've gotta take this CALL-O OK, I'm back, it was Brad Pitt trying to STALL-O In committing to the sequel to Legends Of The FALL-O Largely because we intend to dress him in a SHAWL-O But enough with the spoilers because I don't wanna SPOIL-O Hope Brad signs up soon cuz Ant Hopkins getting SMALL-O He's the right age for stuff like bladder issues in the GALL-O Saul is his Doctor so he better call SAUL-O To get him checked out since production's seemed to STALL-O Anyway, if you get anything from this SCRAWL-O It should be that I know the best pizza for Y'ALL-O Specifically when you come and visit Buff-AL-O It's up in Tonawanda and its name is DiPAULO'S WHAT! If it's cold, put on a Paulover and come and grab a hearty and wondrous slice of gooey hotness! Speaking of gooey hotness... What to get: slices. What else: slices. Can you say anything other than slices: slices. On the real doe: Just slices, but make sure you ask for it heated up. The difference between a heated cheese & pep slice here and a lukewarm one, is massive. Like your Uncle. Who owns it: DiPaul McCartney, DiPaul Newman, DiPaul Revere, DiRon Paulo, DiPauly Shore, and the wonderful and gorgeous late DiPaul Newman. He used to eat his slices fast and furious, as do I. Despite this great region having so, so many wonderful locally owned (and completely unhealthy) pizzerias, DiPaulo's is one of the best slices of Buffalo Style Pizza, but only when piping hot. It's easily, comfortably in the top 20 and probably in the top 10 along with Good Guys, Franco's, Bella and Imperial, Mia Mangia, Mineo's and Mattina's (the 3 M's, as locals say... but not really) and so on. The owners and I like to call this place DP's. Actually that's just me, and I'm not going into my reasons, but let's just say they have a very comfortable back-room floor. Other than slices, I've tried several subs. Chicken Finger and Ham are both pretty decent, but nowhere near as good as places like Mia Mangia and Wise Guys on Hertel. 4 stars for the sandwiches. They're filling & generous, but they're nowhere near the best in a town full of great subs. As for wings, again, decent, but not even on my radar of the best 20 or 30 places in town. Bear in mind that most of the best spots for wings are Pizza shops, so that's not why. But they're a little overdone, a little boring, sauce needs more butter. I order mine "extra saucy" and they still always come out dry. One good thing is that they'll give you 10 wings and no drumsticks - most places average out to 5 and 5. But if you like drumsticks that'll suck for you... lol. All in all, I'd say, avoid the subs and wings and give the fresh hot Pepperoni Pizza a try. Paula Abdul just bought this place, and is considering renaming it "DiPaula's" but Simon Cowell says "that name is absolutely atrocious, it's appalling, and I hope that you have a day job, because you really should not quit it if this is the best you can do with regards to naming your business." They recently remodeled the place so now there's a cute little dining room and plenty of space to sit and eat these wonderful slices and subs. Buffalo pizza is heaven, if you don't mind masses of gooey cheese, mouth-burningly hot tomato marinara sauce, and thick doughy tasty crust with pools of grease swimming in concave pepperoni boats. You have to see it to understand. Or just look at my pictures. They tell the story. If it was DePollo's then it would sell Latin Chicken. If it was RonPaulos then it would have moderate and almost progressive conservative views. If it was RuPaulos then it would look like a very tall woman. But it's not. When piping hot, this is one of the quintessential Buffalo slices, one of the very best in town as I stated. The plaza is very quiet, dead almost, which is a shame because it means a lot of people are missing out on one of the better pizzas in town. They also have wonderful service, but mainly when the cute girl that works the front register is on duty (swoon). She has green hair, and it works. If you're reading, hi, and you can call me anytime at 1-800-YELP-CRUSH What I don't like is when they don't heat up your slices (make sure you ask), or don't give you the right change (you owed me 50 cents not 25, bro). But head up to Tonawanda and give it a try if you are a fan of Buffalo-style Pizza slices, and make sure you try nearby Franco's, Good Guys, and Mattina's too. Those are the 4 standouts in the Northtowns, but DP's is the most underrated in these parts. And don't go here to get drunk. It's not called "Disaronos." And don't expect to be arrested by an Eastern Suburban cop either. Otherwise you'd be violating "DepewLaws." And you and I will always be good friends. In that sense, we are "Deep Allies."

Ordered from Dipaulas for the first time in a while, and I must say it was fantastic!! The garlic bread was on a sub roll, nice and garlicy and just the amount of cheese that I like. The pizza had a great taste to it. It's not like most pizzerias that copy each other and all tastes the same, this one is unique from the sauce to the dough! Give them a call tonight!

    Jess L.

Pizza was very good. I give it 4 stars. Plenty of toppings, good cheese, not too much crust on the end. The wings, however, left much to be desired. Probably about a 2. They didn't have much meat or sauce on them. They were like crispy dry skin, pretty disappointing. We had to rub them in the bottom of the box to get up the little bit of sauce that came with them. Overall, will definitely get pizza from there again. A solid Ken-Ton option if pizza is what you want. Will go somewhere else for wings though.

Growing up on Brighton Rd. DiPaulo's was our go to pizza spot. Consistently solid slices for 30 years. Don't come here as much for pizza but is my go to spot for breakfast. The steak egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a seeded roll, OMG, it's heaven. Trust me, get here and order one, you will not regret it. I think their sandwiches have added five pounds to my dad bod over the last couple years. They make them all day long so no excuse to miss these.

    Sue M.

Pizza lacking taste-way too salty- sauce is tasteless - crust with nothing-not even pizza dough. I remember when DiPaulo's had great pizza, good prices and Quality ingredients. Although that was back in 1999. Their large pizza has 8 slices- that's a medium in my book. Cost $15.50

I'm always on the lookout, keeping my ear to the ground, for great pizza places in Buffalo…read more Although sometimes, I just want to try some place new. I had heard good things about Naked City Pizza, so I decided to take a break from my usual spots and give them a try and overall, I am very pleased! I called around 4:45pm on a Saturday and a gentleman took my order. He was courteous and friendly and said my order would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes later, easily finding a parking spot in their large parking lot, which is a mixture of pavement and dirt/gravel. Walking inside the shop, it's similar to most Buffalo pizza shops where it's relatively small and really about take-out, not for dining in. There were a few young guys working the counter and ovens, they were able to get me in and out quickly. From the limited time I was inside, the workers were friendly enough, they seemed to get along well. For dinner, I ordered a Quarter Sheet (6 slices) Steak and Three Cheese pizza but the gentleman who took my order over the phone put my order in as a Half Sheet (12 slices). They realized the mistake too late and gave me the Half Sheet for the Quarter Sheet price! I really do appreciate that, it's great customer service. I have half a pizza leftover for a quick dinner now! Naked City Pizza nails the traditional Buffalo-style with a doughier undercarriage and nice crispy, chewy crust. The dough was airy but it didn't seem as "heavy" as many other pizza places around Buffalo, but maybe I was just REALLY hungry. haha For their steak pizza, it seems like they use thicker pieces of steak, which was great, definitely felt more substantial. Most steak pizzas come topped with banana, hot, or sweet (bell/green) peppers, but Naked City uses roasted red peppers, which are sweet and have a more distinct flavor and softer texture - I was impressed, this paired VERY well with the other components! Along with them, there's also onions on top. The three cheeses used are cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan, which of course are delicious. In addition to the roasted sweet peppers, the other component that I was surprised by was the white garlic sauce as the base. Steak pizzas around Buffalo vary from using a "hoagie oil/sauce" to just a huge variety of cheeses, no base sauce of any kind. I tend to stay away from white sauce on pizza as it's usually associated with garlic (I don't want my breath to be too... fragrant haha), but this wasn't too garlic-y, I didn't feel like I was "wearing it". I enjoyed the added creaminess the white sauce added to this pie. After six slices, I stopped myself and put the other half in the freezer. The six slices I had were delicious and filled me up nicely - The squares were cut nicely and they were plenty filling with tons of meat and cheese. I have a feeling these will reheat in the oven nicely. Looking at the prices, I was impressed too with how affordable Naked City Pizza is! All-in-all, I'm glad I gave Naked City Pizza a chance and had a great experience! The staff are friendly enough and quick, it's easy to get in and out quickly, and the pizza is traditional Buffalo-style so it's on the heartier end while being affordable. I look forward to ordering and trying a red sauce pizza from Naked City Pizza to see how sweet their sauce is.

The flavors don't compete... they melt together into one big, perfect masterpiece. The peppers leaned sweet (no real heat), which made them the ideal companion to the delicious sausage. And that sausage? Made in-house and seasoned beautifully, with the perfect amount of fennel -- enough to give it that classic Italian character without overpowering the pie. Perfection! The buffalo mozzarella added creamy richness, the basil kept everything bright, and the San Marzano tomatoes were clean and balanced. We love pizza in all its forms -- New York style and Napoli alike -- but there is something about the rustic goodness of true Neapolitan pizza that has a special place in my pizza-loving heart. That airy, soft center and char-kissed crust from the wood-fired oven is magic. The use of such fresh ingredients makes Forno Napoli my favorite pizza on NY so far - authentic and intentional. There is a lot of love and pride in everything from the handmade crust to all of the toppings. They also serve a garlic butter and cheese dipping sauce for the crust -- indulgent and completely unnecessary in the BEST possible way. That blistered crust dipped in that sauce? Unreal. The cheese? Yes, they have the most beautiful wheel of pecorino they hand grate from to make this happen. No green shaker bottles here! We met Felix, the owner, and he was incredibly welcoming. He has such great energy -- warm, engaging, and clearly passionate. You can tell he's the heartbeat behind the recipes and the success of the business. It feels personal. He made us want to share just how great our entire experience was and he certainly made us want to return. Our only regret? We were too full to try another pizza. Do not hesitate. This truly is a slice of heaven.
