Still very good after all these years! The pizza got better, the subs went way up in price and lost quality over the years. (I remember $8.50 subs!) The pizza here reminds me of what WNY pizza used to be. Chewy dough, fluffy on the inside. A crust worth eating. Not too much sauce and the pepperoni are as greasy as you need and with good flavor. The ordering on the phone and picking up in person is friendly and swift. I highly recommend this as a top pizza spot in WNY! The sub was okay too, but not great. I wish they had sub deals because I'd happily pay $9 maybe $10 for the chicken finger sub as it is, but $13? Still a very solid spot. I look forward to ordering again! read more

The sauce isn't too sweet either (like some other popular South Buffalo Pizza place), it's full of flavor and I'm pretty sure I could eat it with a spoon if I ever got the opportunity. Their assorted subs are the very very best. I will very willingly drive all the way from Hamburg to South Buffalo just to get an assorted sub. They do have a room where you can dine in, where many of the regulars will gather to chat. Who doesn't love Mini O's. Mini O's are usually found down South? Am I right? Who knew, you could have amazing Mini O's right here in Buffalo. Unsurprisingly - you have to go down south (of Buffalo) to experience them. There's only one location, but it's so good, there should be Multiple Mini O's. What to get: Pizza What else to get: Mini O's What else: Massive O's Anything else: Multiple O's If you don't know Buffalo Pizza, you don't know life. Only Detroit has comparable pizza. Even NYC slices can be hit or miss (but the hits are the best of the best). Chicago makes good pies and plenty of bad ones. But Detroit and Buffalo have a stellar, spectacular, sky-high standard of pizza perfection, both similarly greasy, doughy, cheesy, saucy, and pepperoni-y. If there were a pizza World Cup Final, it'd be Buffalo vs Detroit in the final, not NYC vs Chicago. That would be the third-place play-off. Unless of course you don't like grease and cheese and pep. In which case why are you eating pizza in America anyway? Get over to Italy, you'll probably like the traditional dish better (and no, America can't make the traditional kind like Italy does, no matter what artis anal people say). Now back to these explosive O's we were discussing. Mini O's are underrated. Everyone's always going on about other kinds of O's, the big ones, the multiple ones, the explosive ones, but Mini O's are a dying art, and I'm on a mission to bring them back. So come one, come all... and taste the blissful, sudden, momentary, sudden, and earth-shattering pleasure... of a Mini O slice. South Buffalo might have the best pizza in the world. I mean Bella, Blasdell, Imperial, Mineo's, all within a mile or so of each other. Absolutely incredible. And there are probably 13 and a half very good other spots I'm not even naming. But make sure you try slices from those four. Unlike Imperial and many other local pizzerias, this shop has a nice little cozy dining room in which you can get nommy on your noms. It's not as big and shiny as Bella's room, but it has a glamour model on the wall, and it does the trick, much like I do, which gets us back to those Mini-O's. My description for a Mineo's slice (which are dirt cheap, I might add), is: an amazing slice of delicious greasy wet thinner-crust-than-most-Buffalonian-stuff, soaked dripping greasy yummy slightly sweet pizza. Light on the bread, heavy on the flavour. A little sweet, a little salty. Like me. I'm not usually into any sweet in my pizza sauce, but this one works perfectly. Just like I do. According to my girlfriend. Anyway, speaking of my girlfriend, I'd just like to say that in her own pizza-munching words: massive O's are great, and multiple O's are indescribable... but there is something to be said for the fleeting, sudden, sweeping bliss of Mini O's. This is definitely a mixed review. 1. The service is VERY friendly 2. They don't listen, however. I ordered a Turkey CLUB sub - and I only received Turkey. I ordered a 1/2 of a fried bologna, they charged (and served) me a whole. 3. The amount of Turkey on my sub was generous; the bologna on the fried bologna was far from that. Bologna is literally the cheapest deli meat you can buy, and you are going to be stingy about it? 4. The fried bologna was over cooked and in general not all that good tasting as a result. 5. I like pizza. I like trying new pizza places around the city. I like pizza. Okay, I just wanted to get that out of the way. I made my first trip to Mineo's South Pizzeria last week for lunch after accidentally driving by it. This place has a seating area and a small room for you to pick up slices if you so choose. I stopped in around 12:30PM and the staff was super busy but still friendly and accommodating. I'm a sucker for the special slices so I proceeded to order a slice of the stinger pizza and a slice of the chicken finger pizza as well. These slices were pretty large on size and kind of like a mixture of both New York and Detroit style where it was thicker then most thin pizza but still holds that nice soft Buffalo style crust. The stinger pizza was really good and I loved the mix of flavour, I would go as far as to say that it might be the best stinger slice I've had in Buffalo. The chicken finger slice was also pretty darn good although it wasn't anything special compared to others in the area. The chicken was good, the dough was good, and the sauce was solid as well. Overall, I really enjoyed my stop at Mineo's South Pizzeria and I would definitely stop again for some slices (or a sandwich since those looked delicious). South Buffalo has a decent selection of pizza places but this one definitely deserves a try! read more

Glad the pizza remains the same after all these years. Staff is courteous and they keep their menu prices reasonable. Drove out from Hamburg and it was nice visiting the old first ward and picking up a pizza. Lastly, they offer a good variety of wings/pizza/subs and homemade pasta dinners. Enjoyed a delicious BBQ chicken finger pie here the other day and I was really impressed! The pizza was very tasty with just the right amount of sauce, cheese, chicken, and a crunchy thinner crust yum! I'd love to try many of their other creations as well, and the pricing wasn't too bad at $18 for a large pizza. They've got loads of other things on their menu as well including subs (hot and cold), calzones, and other Italian dishes. Parking can be a bit tricky with some nearby street parking available but they do not have their own parking lot. They do also have some sitting area to enjoy your food if you want to dine in. Lots of specials, sure to please. The lady working there knew all her regulars, always nice to see. The pizza I had was good, perhaps a little more bread than I might expect, but generously sized.
