I have purchased 2 cars from Blake at Grapevine Motors. An 02 BMW 530i and an 02 Mustang Convertible. Blake shoots straight with you and will point out all negatives of the car before you buy it not try to hide anything. On the BMW, we had an 02 sensor go out first week, and they immediately took it in and changed it out. We had another error, and they made a diagnostic appt with the dealership to get a more detailed opinion and again had it fixed at their cost. People need to remember, these are used cars, and Blake's price is well below market. They will go out of their way to help you. I can't say enough good things about our experience here! We were having dinner at the restaurant next door; as we do occasionally and noticed a jeep on the lot we wanted to know more about. My husband emailed for more information and got an immediate reply. We also looked at the reviews online and decided to go check it out. There we met Tim! Again, can't say enough good things! Went in person to look at a pickup they had advertised online. The online ad was totally misleading if not downright deceptive. Said it was "great shape ,garage kept", but upholstery was faded and it was no where near great shape. Was also skeptical of the mileage. Wasted trip. read more

I have to warn people about the kind of people this guys are, we called on a Friday because we needed to find a car that weekend, this very rude woman answers and says that they need to see my trade in, so we go in and they look at it and tell me that they will call me back with the appraisal, we waited 2 hrs and nothing, so we called and she acts all angry, she says "I WILL CALL YOU BACK WHEN I GET TIME, I AM THE ONLY ONE HERE YOU KNOW" we say ok, we just want to let you know we are interested on the Pacifica and we have 4 k to give down besides the trade in, she said "Ok I will call you back" we waited another 3 hrs. So I decided to drive there to test drive that Pacifica, I walk in there, she looks at me and says "Ya!?" I said hi I am interested on that pacifica, can I test drive it? I am the person with the trade in, we called earlier, (SHE WASN'T ALONE AS SHE SAID ON THE PHONE, NOR WAS SHE BUSY) she then went on yelling at me as if I was her misbehaved child, "NO YOU CAN'T TEST DRIVE THAT, YOUR TRADE IN IS CRAP, TOO FALL APART, I CAN'T GIVE YOU ANYTHING FOR IT" So I said we have cash and you don't finance for the remaining? She then said, "you can apply on our website." I have to say I have never ever been treated like this in my entire life, she wasted our whole day making us wait for a call back, she insulted my trade in and disrespected me, she lied and I was a paying customer, I was not there to get a favor. That Pacifica was overpriced anyway, I found the axact same car with30k less miles and 1500 $ less just 15 miles farther. But we decided on an Expedition with less mileage and great service, not to mention that they took in my trade in, no problem.... SOMEWHERE ELSE!! read more

Outstanding experience with this dealer. These folks are honest and trustworthy, and will do everything they can to help you out. Honestly, I was not impressed when I first arrived on the lot - but don't let first impressions fool you. This is not a glossy, fancy, new-car-dealership kind of place. Nobody's wearing suits and they're not out to sweet-talk and pressure you like those dealerships. They're down-to-earth, good people. I found the car I wanted online, and when I got to the lot, the car was exactly as described, in awesome shape considering the age and mileage, and available at the price quoted. If you need financing, they'll work hard to get you the best possible deal. No behind-the-scenes-let-me-talk-to-my-manager garbage that I've dealt with at some dealers, either. They will also give you a full vehicle report (like a Carfax report) before you buy so you can see if there have been any previous issues. I took the car for a full inspection the day I bought it, and my mechanic was impressed with the condition. I did have a problem with the car just two days after that (a broken cable - relatively common at that mileage and not something you could see or predict ahead of time, the full inspection didn't even catch it), but Tim took care of it and I am absolutely loving my "new-to-me" vehicle. Despite their being very busy the day I went out, Blair called me back and cheerfully answered all questions over the phone. I came out the next day and got to drive the car I was looking at. We made the deal and I was able to pick up the car the next day. All very easy peasy. Unfortunately the power windows started working only sporadically and the "check engine" light came on about a week after buying the car. I took it to my local mechanic and was told I needed a new alternator costing $1200. I drove away from the mechanic w/o taking his advice, breaking down and had to be towed. I called Blair and he assured me Grapevine Motors would repair things way cheaper. Upon my picking up the car, I had a new battery and a new alternator and it was done for me for FREE! On June 10, 2015, I bought a 2004 Suburban from Grapevine Motors. I told Tim that I needed a good vehicle since it was for my daughter and my three small grand babies. He told me that if anything happened in the next few months to let him know and he would take of it. Well, a week and a day later (on the day the check cleared) the check engine light came on and the engine reduced to half power and the air stopped working. I called Tim and he said oh well you have had it almost two weeks and it could be anything. With all the rain we have had, may be you got bad gas. Well, I was shocked! Not the response I expected. I took it to Auto Zone and had the light turned off and hoped for the best. The next week the check engine light came on repeatedly. I took it to a mechanic who replaced a part for $520.00. Hoping that would be it, I drove it a couple of weeks until the check engine light came on again. So it went back to the shop. In September, I was driving it, and as I turned the corner the vehicle died in mid turn! I started it again, and it died again as I was turning into my driveway! Back to the shop it went. The mechanic replace another part for $210.00. My daughter and I are terrified to drive this vehicle! We are both panic stricken wondering if it is going to stop running on the freeway. Now we have a vehicle that we are afraid to drive, and Tim has our money. I told Tim how important it was that I get a good vehicle for my daughter and grand babies. Now I am stuck with a piece of junk and a promise from a dealer who played Christian music and didn't back his word. Wow the message I received on the BBB reply was quite a contrast to the nice message I received on this sight. I will post it so you can see the response and demeaning way he talks to his customers. "And this is the exact response I would expect from you. I told you to bring the vehicle to me and I would check it. We had and abundance of rain this summer and your problem did sound like bad gas. You never brought me the car to check but chose to take it to your own mechanic twice, and he did a pre purchase inspection during the three days you had posession of the vehicle. When you had a complaint, the cd player, i jumped right on it and replaced it. when you called me about the running issue, I said get it to me. You chose to have your mechanic repair it. You obviously have NOT read my online reviews as they are excellant for 20 years with the exception of bogus disgruntled finance customers that we reposessed for non payment...... Now you are Threatening me (blackmail) to do something or you will ruin my reputation. Who is the Christian? You still have not asked me to fix the problem,. You said you didn't trust me to fix it or even swap it out with another vehicle. Just more threats and complaints. Did you write this same complaint about your mechanic that couldn't fix it????? Since I am being blackmailed to fix a problem I know nothing about, I will give you 1 chance to bring it to me, bring the receipts for what parts your mechanic has thrown at it and I will fix it right... I am not wrong here and you know I said bring it in but you couldn't, and now 4 months later I get this threatening complaint. Do not question my Christianity as I have not questioned yours for your tactics and I'm willing to do the right thing if you have the ability to admit that I am not in the wrong and bring your car in.... With that said, I have no mechanic but myself, I am aware another mechanic charged you and tried to fix it so I will be very precise about the repair and I will not just throw parts at it so it could take a week or two to sort it out. The balls in your court... " You said in your reply above that I never asked you to fix the problem. If that is true, how could I have ever said I didn't trust you to fix the problem, nor did you at any time offer to swap it out with another vehicle. That must have been another unhappy customer! All I hear is you blaming the bad gas and my mechanic that messed up the truck. My mechanic did not throw parts at the truck. With someone responding to me in such a demeaning way and threatening tone, I would hesitate to have any other contact with this dealership. I went against my better judgement and ignored the bad reviews because my son really wanted a truck they had for sale. On the Friday before Columbus Day (October 11) my son sent an inquiry on CarFax before lunch and received a message that someone would call soon - he still hasn't received that call. After waiting about an hour, I called and spoke to Blair. He was helpful and answered my questions and told me Ruben would call me when he got back from lunch to discuss financing - I never received that call. After waiting a couple hours I finally filled out the online pre-approval (Blair said it would save us time) before we headed over, assuming in the two hours or so it took us to get there and test drive the truck it would have been reviewed - nope. The truck seemed decent enough except one of the back doors wouldn't open. Was told by Ruben it was just a cable that needed to be replaced and they would fix that, no problem. We go inside to do the paperwork and I'm told because it's so late (mind you we had easily wasted 3 hours of the day waiting on phone calls that never came) and the paperwork is all online it'd be Saturday before they can finish. Saturday a lady from the finance company calls with a few questions and says they're not open on Saturdays and Monday being a holiday it'd be Tuesday before I could finish the paperwork. Get a call Tuesday from Ruben to go finish the paperwork to find out I have to drive to DENTON - the car lot is in GRAPEVINE! I've bought several cars before and I've never had to go anywhere but the dealership to sign papers, and it's always in one trip. And quick side note: unless you are absolutely desperate for financing - don't use their financing through Lendmark! Even with a very good credit score the interest rate they're charging is RIDICULOUS!!! I finish the paperwork and go to the car lot to pick up the keys. They don't have their paperwork ready, because the lady had no idea I was coming. They hand me the keys to the wrong truck and take a few minutes to find the correct one. I ask if the handle is fixed and no one (except Ruben) has any idea what I'm talking about. They had the truck for 4 days and he hadn't even told anyone about it. So Ruben and Blair proceed to argue in front of me about getting it fixed. I take the truck and am told they'll call me when the part is in (thank goodness I didn't leave it until it was fixed like they wanted). Four days later still no call, and the other door breaks so now neither back door can open. On October 30th I still hadn't received a call, so I called and talked to Blair. He said the mechanic was out and to call in a few days after he had a chance to talk to him to find out if the parts were in yet (he'd see if the mechanic would go ahead and fix the other door - at my expense of course). November 1st I call and have to leave a message for Blair. November 4th he calls me back, again with no information on if the parts are in. Another excuse that the mechanic was having a bunch of parts delivered that day and they should be in, so call back on Thursday and he'd have me bring the truck in that evening so they could have it Friday and Saturday - enough time to get it fixed. I was unable to take it Thursday or Friday night, but while out driving it Saturday the battery light comes on, so yay! I called Monday November 11th (1 month since this all started) and Blair says it's too cold for the mechanic to be in the garage and there's a car taken apart with parts all over the place, so call back in a few days after the cold (cause they're not going to make their mechanic work and risk getting sick) and they'll get it in to SEE WHAT PARTS THEY NEED!!! WHAT?!? You've been stringing me along for a month telling me the parts were coming and now you say you don't even know what you need?? So done dealing with the lies and being screwed around by this guy. Instead I'll share my story and let as many people as I can know how they operate so hopefully you can avoid the BS I've been through. read more

This is an honest dealership who really cares about their customers. Our used car purchase was extremely important to us because it was our teenage daughter's very first car. We wanted a nice safe and reliable used car that we could pay cash for, and Grapevine Motors sold us the perfect one for her! She is now the proud owner of a 2004 Mazda 6 with a strong engine that runs perfectly - no problems at all! When we bought the car, a fuse in the radio/clock display needed to be replaced and Tim ordered the part and when it came in, he repaired it for free as well as put the license plates on for her! It's so nice that a car lot still exists where the owners are honest good people looking out for you. I rest easy now knowing that my daughter is driving around in a great reliable car. I recently bought a Hyundai Tiburon GT 2006 from Grapevine Motors and the car looked and ran great during the test drive and for about a week after I drove it off the lot, it wasn't until about a week later that the check engine light came on and I, being concerned because my previous cars engine had blown up the week prior due to faulty mechanic work, went and got the vehicle checked out. It turned out that the transmission fuel temperature sensor was out and that was keeping my transmission from keeping cool. Once I figured out the problem I immediately called Grapevine Motors, they offered to do a free diagnostic and once the problem was certain looked into buying the part to fix it free of charge. Long story short they actually ended up giving me $220 cash to go fix it elsewhere due to the inconvenience it would have been for me to take off work another day to take my car back to them in grapevine for repair when the part came in while I work in McKinney. They were always extremely nice and professional in both the car buying experience and after the fact when I came to them with a problem, I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a used car. read more

In July, 2014, my husband and I looked at a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup that this dealer advertised on Craigslist. It had a few cosmetic defects from elements and time, but looked okay. We purchased it the next day for our son, and this pickup turned out to be a really bad purchase! The inspection sticker had expired in June (which we did not notice when we bought it), and it took $300+ to get one - a new battery was needed, plus the driving over 200 miles (gas) to recharge the emission system (which wouldn't check okay with the inspection, due to the low battery). Then, one month later, the brakes went out completely, and a month after that, the wheel bearings went out on the driver front wheel, causing a near-collapse of the wheel in heavy traffic! We spent over $2000 on this vehicle in August through October, and it gets only 9 or 10 miles per gallon on top of this. I would never purchase another vehicle from this company. read more
