Beware of the store Manager here is why ! I visited…read moreMerritt's Ace Hardware on Hacienda Blvd with my e-bike because there is no secure bicycle parking outside. Before bringing it in, I asked the cashier if it was okay since I was only going to be inside for a few minutes to purchase a few items. The cashier said it was fine. A few minutes later, the store manager, who I believe is named Evan, came through the store yelling, "Whose e-bike is that?" in front of other customers. Instead of speaking to me professionally, she immediately became confrontational. I calmly explained that I only needed a few minutes to finish my purchase, but she responded by insulting me and using profanity. I'm an adult, a paying customer, and a regular shopper at this location. There was no reason for the situation to be handled with shouting and disrespect. If there was a store policy, it could have been explained politely instead of creating a scene. I reported the incident to corporate, but because this location is independently franchised, they were unable to resolve the issue. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this store while this manager is in charge. Customers deserve professionalism and respect, not public embarrassment over a situation that could have been handled with a simple conversation. Ty

It would be good if they can use the hollow / loop pull tab which makes us easier to remove the window screen. The price has almost doubled comparing with the price before the pandemic. Today 5/26/2026, I am greatly appreciated by the excellent service provided by the staff Arron S. . He carried the window screens to our car as some of them are big. He helped to load our purchased stuff into the car. The cashier accidentally made an input error by charging us the regular price of the bark nuggets instead of the sales price, Arron helped to solve this issue quick. He was so friendly, so helpful. Arron, thanks again for your great service.

The shower is leaking and the lawn needs watering, so I jumped into the car to get what I need. Although this is an Ace store, coupons are site specific and are not shared among the hardware stores. Oh well, I'll need to be more careful reading that fine print, but got what I needed and not wasting time looking for the right hardware. Although not the cheapest, it is the most convenient to my home, so I'll be shopping here for a little longer...

I am as handy as you need to be to be a homeowner to NOT shell out lots of money on home repairs(I rather spend money on dining out :) . I have learned how to paint, patch ant openings, fixed my toilet, redone grouts, and even trimmed the trees by hanging out here. Remember you can make keys (home, AUTO ,...) here also. Key making machines are available (see pic) and it's very affordable at HD. Many sale items of good value on their end caps on a weekly basis.
