    Sausage Scramble
    Talesha C.

We came here on a Saturday morning before heading out to explore Chicago. We were seated quickly given that it was before 8am and the restaurant only had one other party at the time. I wanted the American breakfast, but I wanted to substitute the toast for one pancake. The server told me I couldn't do that before they only serve pancakes as a set of three and there were no exceptions. Instead I got the sausage scramble. The potatoes were tasty and cooked well. The eggs with the cheese in the scramble was good. The sausage within the scramble was fine, but it should have been cooked longer to make the sausage darker and more crispy. I believe the meal would have been excellent if that would have happened.

Stopped here for lunch during Pokémon Go Fest. Surprisingly there was no wait. Service was fast. We enjoyed the beautiful patio. Food was fabulous! The homemade steak sauce was the BOMB. I will say I'm used to getting a bigger piece of steak on these types of meals. It was cooked perfectly though and the price was reasonable. My only comparing was I wished they'd had the full menu available at noon on a Saturday instead of just brunch.

This a great location. On a corner, close to hotel, outdoor seating, view of Grant Park. Nicely decorated inside. Waitstaff super pleasant, but S-L-O-W. They are not in any hurry to check back with you once your order is taken. And, that is the reason for the 3. They weren't super busy when we were there. All three of us had burgers. All were good.

3.5 if that was an option. This was a very quick walk from our hotel, so that was a big plus. Good breaks at menu but expensive. I wouldn't go back for that reason even though the food was pretty good. Recommend: veggie omelet and potatoes, French toast. Don't recommend: pastry basket- the croissants were so dry they just broke into crumbs everywhere. Sounds like their happy hour is probably worthwhile.

Great restaurant with a nice patio and super close to Soldier Field! Even though our server was the only one for the entire patio, he was attentive and really good at this job. I think what made this work was that other people brought the food out from the kitchen so that allowed him to focus on the customers which was a good strategy! The burger was juicy and very tasty! I was a little disappointed in the chicken for the salad because it was very bland and squishy but overall we had a great time for dinner!

Food and service were good. Convenient to lake front hotels. The Salmon Benedict was tasty & served with breakfast potatoes (a little on the sweet side). The Crouque Madame was different with pickle in it. French Press decaf.

Why do I keep coming here and expecting a different result? Over easy eggs were hard and burned on the bottom. Potatoes were overdone and tasteless. Weirdest English muffin I've ever had. And the Bloody Mary I ordered when I first sat came 15 minutes AFTER my food and only when I asked about it. No one checked on me or asked how my food was. I finally just flagged the waiter down for the check and paid.

We were walking and saw that they had a happy hour menu on Sunday so we popped in. The staff was really nice and welcoming. We ordered drinks and really liked them. I got i think the lakeside punch which was BOMB! Then we ordered the corn & cheddar fritters and yall they were really yummy. We didn't see any pics of them on here so were kinda skeptical but pleasantly impressed. The fries were fresh and so crispy. The salad was good and my friend said her pasta was tasty. Everyone was checking in on us frequently and made sure we were set. Definitely will be back. Really enjoyed our time.

First off, the service was 5 stars amd genuinely friendly. From the hostess to our server. Wait was short even in a busy Saturday. Prices were average. Better than your average hotel restaurant. My 17 year old said this was the best burger he'd had in recent memory. I had the standard American breakfast.

Eat here!! Would change absolutely NOTHING! I was going to post about both my husbands and my breakfast but by the time I whipped out my phone his was pretty much gone. He agrees it was delicious.

I came here with some friends to enjoy their HH specials. We didn't make a reservation but asked if we can be seated by the window where there were booths available. This was on a Thursday around 5pm and the place was basically empty except for 2 tables that were occupied by 2-4 people each. The server said no because they're reserved and that high tops were the only option so I went on open table and made a reservation. I told him I made a reservation and he was able to seat us at a booth. I thought this was a bit ridiculous because they clearly had a ton of empty tables and it took an extra step to get to the same result. The ambiance is nice if people wanted to come here and chill. Basic food that you can't really mess up on. We had a couple rounds of drinks and each ordered a burger plus 2 fries. The price is decent for the amount of food you get in this economy. Might come back for HH, but other than that I don't see myself paying full price since service nor food were top notch.

Chicago The restaurant is located at street level in Le Meridian Essex Chicago hotel. It's bright, holiday shiny and feels sleek and inviting. We sat at the window and loved the street view. Everything feels new and fresh here which makes me think they have done a recent renovation. We were served professionally and in a friendly way. Chicago is not exactly a hub of smiles and high-level customer service n the winter but our waiter was exceptionally warm and welcoming. Coffee came quick with refills when needed. We ordered off a brunch type menu and had the sausage scramble and the croissant breakfast sandwich. Both came with twice-"baked home fries which were ok but nothing to put in your recipe book. I'd say the food was like 3.5 stars, ambience was 4 stars but the service was 5 stars which weighed heavily in my review. Great ambience. The place was busy all morning and the service was really the standout here. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

American Burger $8 happy hour Price Huge burger. Very tasty. 10/10 for the price.

A unique experience, the food was super delicious with a mix of flavors from around the world. I left with an amazing experience in terms of food and flavors, but my greatest lesson was how hard the kitchen staff works and the passion: the orchestrated action to keep with the orders, the constant heat from the kitchen, the attention to details, and the love for flavor perfection. Service was a bit slow. It took 45 mins to get our first dish, which was the halibut. First, just want to comment that the portion size is quite small relative to the price of the dishes. The halibut. This was very delicious. Somehow the blueberry nuoc cham works? The fish was tender and flaky. The sauce was salty and full of umami with a hint of blueberry sweetness. This fish dish made me crave for a bowl of steaming hot bfluffy white rice. The string beans. Unless you are allergic to nuts, this is a must get dish. Perfectly cooked string beans (still crispy but not raw) sautéed with fish sauce vinaigrette was an absolute delight. It's also on the salty side which made me crave rice but it's such a flavor bomb. The cashews provided a contrast in texture but yet complemented the seemingly simple dish. I wish the portions were bigger. The galbi. It's was good but compared to the first 2 dishes, didn't really wow me. The meat was one rib strip (4 rib bones) cut into 4 pieces so it's a rather small portion for the price. The stone fruit slices was a nice pairing in that it provided a sweet and tart contrast to the heavier meat flavor. After trying this dish, I felt I personally prefer the LA galbi marinade flavor and preparation for short ribs. Overall, I'm glad I got to try this place. Would come back for the string beans on a splurge day .

Concerned, I immediately called the restaurant to let them know about the issue. I simply explained that I had found a bone in my meatloaf. The response I received was, "Okay, I'll let the kitchen know," and then the call was ended. Finding a bone chip in a meatloaf is concerning enough, but what was even more disappointing was the lack of concern, apology, or effort to make the situation right. As a longtime customer who has supported this restaurant for years, I expected a more professional and customer-focused response. I am sharing this feedback in the hope that management takes food quality concerns more seriously and provides better customer service when loyal patrons bring legitimate issues to their attention.
