One of the best al pastor tacos I've ever had!!! WOW! We ordered at the food truck outside and then went inside the bar to eat and watch the UT/OSU game. The shrimp taco was great too, but I loved my al pastor so much that I'd wished I'd gotten two of those.

The food was good but be prepared to wait - both when you're ordering and for your food. We each had two tacos but one would have been sufficient given the size.

I decided to check this spot out because of the great reviews and it was super close to where I was at. The truck is set up in a nice area with seats and tables in shade and street parking was easy enough to find on a Sunday morning. The service was friendly and quick as well. The food unfortunately was not great and my other two friends agreed. Al pastor tacos 1/5- The tortillas were good and I believe they make them fresh however the pork it's self was dry, the flavor was bland, and there was no pineapple on the taco when it states on the description it comes with pineapple. Some of the worst I've had. Breakfast tacos 3/5- As you can see by the photo, I got an egg, beans, and bacon taco and an eggs, chorizo, and beans taco and both were fine. The eggs were cooked perfectly and again the tortilla was good. The chorizo and eggs had a nice flavor and I'd get it again if I had to come back. Unfortunately they didn't mix in the bacon into the eggs which feels very lazy and is awkward to eat. The beans were super bland so they ruined both tacos rather than adding to it. Also, they only added it on half of the taco and eggs on the other half as you can see on my photo which felt weird to eat cause I had bites of just straight beans and no egg. The red sauce was not super spicy and the green wasn't either but the red is spicier than the green. This place isn't horrible but I won't be back. I expected a lot more considering the crazy reviews.

Food truck shorted me a premium taco! And all tacos had eggs on the left and meat on right. Disappointed by whoever is working today with meta glasses on. Terrible tacos after a 20 min wait. Disappointed I tipped. Clearly didn't care because I got it to go. Taking advantage of to go orders!

I've been wanting to go to Granny's Tacos for the longest time, and I'm glad I was finally in the area to try it! I got a shrimp taco and their taco plate/bowl, and both were really delicious. The shrimp taco was filled with shrimp and sauce, and the burrito bowl was very filling. I highly recommend!

His place was a good late night snacks, service was okay, and it's pretty nice. Went here after the game and it was really cool! Nice place to hang out !

How can you miss breakfast tacos when you're in Austin? Showed up to Granny's yesterday & it didn't disappoint us. They make tacos from a food truck outside and they'll bring it inside. You have to order, pay first & find a table for yourself. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get your food. We ordered - Birria taco - Chilaquiles taco - Migas taco - Alambre taco - Chips w guacamole Chilaquiles taco I had was okay but Birria was out of this world. This has to be the best Birria taco I've ever had. Salsa/sauces are equally important for a taco as it elevates the taco it to stratosphere. Both Red/Green sauces were so good. Ambiance: They had a couple of TV & tables inside/outside the restaurant were okay. They also had a mini cafe on the other side of the restaurant. Parking can get a little tricky during peak hours.

Weve ordered on delivery apps and been in person several times. The tacos and drinks are always solid.

I came in with a group of visiting friends and was pleasantly surprised to find good, reasonably priced tacos here in East Austin. The tacos were about $5-6 and came with lots of meat. The space was a bit confusing because it seemed like there was an outdoor patio in the back and a covered patio on the side and a food truck in the back, but we chose to sit in the side patio which was nice. This was perfect for brunch after a night out.

Bacon egg cheese taco
Novalina N.

My breakfast tacos were delicious! The cheese can be melted more but no biggie. The ordering process was kind of confusing, though. Everyone went to the food truck to order, but then we were all told to go to the bar instead. Also, it'd be way easier if there were a buzzer to let you know when your food's ready, instead of giving your name to the truck and having to keep checking. Maybe this is a new system, but it felt a bit clunky.

Bacon, egg and spinach taco

After I leave the gym, I go here as it's across the street. Therefore, I've only eaten the breakfast tacos and it's good. My "gripes" which are quibbles is the tortillas don't hold up to eat like a taco. The plus side is you're not being shorted on food. When I order the bacon, i would like more than one piece of bacon and will ask next time now that i am dialed in on this and last thing is to offer both red and green sauce instead of only one and if you want another you're charged.

Very nicely marinated chicken in the quesadilla

Service 10/10, Burrito was phenomenal, beer was cold. The outdoor patio was great with a nice view of the Austin skyline.

The brothers traveled around different areas throughout the US trying different variations before deciding how they wanted to style the tacos. This place is in an alley, and it's very unassuming. It's actually considered a "reverse speakeasy" with a gorgous bar with a disco ball in the front, and mouthwatering food in the back. As everything in De Diez are made completely from scratch (including the tortillas), prices are very, very, fair. Service is fast and simple, your food is made in front of you by very friendly workers

We knew that Austin is a foodie city and it didn't disappoint in the slightest in hitting all those food types that we were wanting to try. We enthusiastically marked off "Mexican" by coming to Taqueria De Diez. It wasn't in our bookmarks to try. I believe we came across it in a Google search or a Yelp search and we're impressed with the review score and decided to go check it out. It didn't disappoint at all. The review score average definitely held up. We got tacos here. I got three Asada tacos and I have to say that these tacos are the best I have had in recent memory. And I am all about tacos. I mean I LOVE tacos so that is saying a lot as I am such a snob with Mexican food. I can say with quite a bit of confidence... and this is even a bigger statement... these tacos may very well be the best I have EVER had. Now, I know that's saying a lot but they were so, so good. Months later from our dining experience there I am still thinking about this place. So if I could give more than five stars I most certainly would. Sometimes the no frills restaurants are the best and that is kind of what's going on here. It somewhat arranged with placing your order a tad bit like a cafeteria (but not an actual cafeteria). You place your food order and then wait for it at the end. Lots of customers take their orders to go but there is spots where you can dine in also. Steve and I did just that and we sat and enjoyed our tacos. So what makes me praise these tacos so much? I don't know for sure but the roll out of flavor on your tongue was just magical. The steak I imagine was prepared with perfection and got all of the tender, loving care it needed to be as amazing as it was. The rest of the toppings were great too as well as the sauces and the taco sized tortillas were probably a likely suspect as well in their perfection. It was so perfect. Taco bliss indeed. I long for these tacos again and if we are even somewhat close to Austin seeking this place out will be a no brainer for us.

What do I mean by this, well you need to make sure you can find parking because this place is so delicious that it's packed most of the times I have visited. The burritos are generously sized but not over bloated or making your feel bloated, stuffed with tender meat of your choice, well-seasoned filling, and wrapped tight enough to stay together all the way to the last bite. Every one I've had has felt fresh and satisfying without being heavy. The tacos are just as impressive. The tortillas are warm and soft, and the fillings are bursting with flavor, from perfectly seasoned meats to fresh toppings like cilantro, onion, and a bright salsa that ties everything together. A squeeze of lime over the top and you've got a taco that's hard to stop eating. You will be offer corn or flour tortilla. For al pastor meat, my choice is flour and for carne asada my choice is always corn. The service is friendly and quick, even when the line is long, and the prices are fair for the quality you get. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite on your break or feeding a crowd, Las Trancas delivers every time. Highly recommended. Once, you have place your order you will receive a beeper to let you know when it is ready. I say my wait time has been less than five minutes honestly. They have covered and open seating. Al pastor is on the more firm side rather than fatty soft pieces, I think it's a decent balance although would've liked a bit more soft (personal preference). It's not impressive enough for me to go out of my way to eat, but it's a really good choice if you're passing through already. My one experience with them was when they were the stars of the show at a Yelp Elite event. They were doing three to ten times their normal volume. I think the huge onrush of customers led them to have a less than excellent day. * * * I tried them again under more leisurely conditions. I now see the merits in their fine establishment. One thing to get on the record first. They make a big fuss over their nixtwhatever tortillas. The tortillas here are no big deal. Talk meat fillings and talk salsas ... And everything is different. The tacos start to glow The food angels start singing their hymns. Their carnitas are absolutely positively insane. I know some knowledgeable Mexican food connoisseurs who praise some other carnitas in town. In some case those praises are deserved. But in my not-even-remotely-humble opinion, Cuantos serves the best carnitas in town. Hands down and thumbs up. I sat and marveled at those babies. Their green salsa was mild, complex and was the perfect accompaniment to the carnitas. I left the foodstand with renewed respect. * * * For the record - other Yelpers have come here and have had the same ambivalent first reactions that I did. It is probably fair to say that Cuantos has its on days and its off days. If they are on an on day, prepare for a treat.

The steak taco had too much fat in it. If I was strictly bashing this review on the food. I'd give it a three. It's not worth the price.
