Very interesting and they all appear to be in good spirits! Live music playing, the establishment smells good, and our waitress has been kind and helpful. Everyone in our group ordered something different, so we were able to all try something new and we all agreed this has been the best food yet! Great service as well! We definitely would recommend this place as a tourist, because they are welcoming to Americans looking to enjoy a bit of local cuisine.

Came here for a couple of drinks with friends and family. Drinks were reasonably priced, a couple of the people I was with had cocktails which looked really good. It's easy to get to as it's in a good location. Service was quick. Would come back to try the food.

Came here with friends for lunch, this was my third visit to Grannie Annie's. we were glad to get seated straight away as this venue is usually packed. The theme of this restaurant is traditional granny style with the ceiling to floor decorated in reclaimed furniture fit for your nans. There is plenty of waiting staff floating about and lots of seats. The venue is almost the length of the block. After we got seated our server, Liudas, was quick to tell us that everything on the menu was available except the cod. Thankfully our party were not fussed about the cod and ordered. I tried the Hen Burger with a side of sweet potato fries and a tub or garlic mayo. It was pretty good After dinner we wanted to order a sweet, sadly this is were the restaurant lost its 5th star. In addition to there being no cod, the restaurant had No sticky toffee pudding or the Jam & coconut sponge. Our party just settle for coffee in the end. The waiter who served us, Liudas, was super friendly and couldn't be more helpful. He even partook in a bit of friendly banter with us, then told us a joke about his language barrier. You should ask him about it. Overall Grannie Annie's was a good choice and with more and more popping up around the province you won't have far to go to sample their offerings.

Granny Annies Kitchen's a new Gastro Pub located where the old Rumpoles and more recently Victoria's stood. It's a terrific transformation to what was there previously and now offers a wonderful new dining experience for Belfast. I visited for lunch yesterday (Saturday 09.07.2016) with my Mother and Sister. We all loved Granny Annies Kitchen. It's a relaxed spot decorated in a cluttered fashion with old clocks, pots, pans and walking sticks etc crammed into every available space. Very interesting to look around and spot all the old items. Service was pleasant and food scrumptious. My Mother and I had 'small' but filling Vegetarian Salads consisting of goats cheese, cheddar, sun dried tomatoes, walnuts, rocket, peppers, red onion and potato salad. They were delicious and our shared side of garlic cubed potatoes very moreish. My Sister ordered a Vegetable Ciabatta which she said tasted fantastic. The reasonably priced Pinot Grigio (£14) and Prosecco (£20) were extremely good. We noticed some appealing gins and cocktails on the drinks menu but didn't get a chance to try them. All in all a wonderful first visit and I'm looking forward to returning specifically to try the Vegetarian Curry, Burger and Ciabatta. Fingers crossed subsequent visits are as good as the first and I hope over time a few more vegetarian dishes are added to the menu.

I don't know how I felt about this restaurant to be honest I'm a bit all over the place. The food was ok although it was very busy when I went (Friday afternoon) the restaurant was flat out we had to wait outside for a table which wasn't to bad as the sun was shinning and they have a nice seating area outside. The menu was ok and the service was good but I'd say it would be better if the place wasn't to packed and the staff weren't run of there feet. I think I'll return and try it again whenever it's a bit less packed out and give it another chance.

Had the pleasure of meeting friends for dinner at granny Annies. It is such a quirky place and I loved it. The decoration is different and the astomphere was good. We all had dinner and drinks. The prices are average for city centre. The staff where helpful and friendly. Service was good. Had live music playing which was a bit loud for talking over but did make the place feel alive. We went outside after dinner to continue with drinks and had a lovely night talking with good background music. Would definitely go back and recommend the steak it was delish. They are extending the place so that the bar and restaurant will be separated which is a great idea.

Location is in a busy area and the food was good. We ordered steak, kabob and warm raspberry dessert. The beef kabob was huge. The portions are huge and tasty. The restaurant's interior decor was fun and interesting.

I've had my fair share of memorable burgers from coast to coast in America, but just glancing at a picture of the beef shin burger transports me back across the pond to the Barking Dog. I remember the few days I spent in Belfast fondly and of the many memories, my meal at the Barking Dog was a definite highlight. In a rather quaint and charming neighborhood, I took a nice short stroll from my Airbnb and came across this gem of an establishment and decided I had to check it out. I had a nice beer to start, and it wasn't a Guinness because stouts aren't my thing, but whatever it was I remember it being excellent and local. Undoubtedly you could make this place a regular haunt and there is no shortage of drinks and food options to make this a go-to for a date, celebration, or a quick meal. The staff are welcoming, kind, and helpful and the general atmosphere is chill. The food for me was ethereal - a burger isn't just a burger here and what you get when you bite into the beef shin burger is a little slice of Heaven. Moist and tender are a given but the taste is just so divine with the caramelized onion, cheddar, and horseradish mayo melding into an union of perfection. It's hard not to describe one of the most memorable meals of my life in such hyperbole but the vivid recall I have of this particular place is uncanny and merits all the praise I can heap upon the fine folks that run the place. If timing had worked out, I would have eaten as meals here as I could have but I'll thank my lucky stars for at least giving me one opportunity to eat such a wonderful burger at such a wonderful eatery. A+ and a definite must when visiting Belfast.

Sadly it was one of the most disappointing meals I've had in a long time. There are only a couple of Vegetarian options on the Dinner Menu, a 'Homemade Herb Gnocchi' and a 'Ricotta & Beetroot Tart'. Well, I assumed they were Vegetarian judging by their description, however this wasn't clearly stated on the online menu I looked at before visiting. I ordered the Gnocchi as I liked the description of 'Homemade Herb Gnocchi' with 'wild mushrooms, shaved radish, parmesan, rocket pesto' - it sounded good. Ten minutes after we ordered our food the waitress returned to our table to let me know the kitchen had run out of Gnocchi! She suggested a pasta dish (linguine) in either a tomato based sauce or the mushroom, radish, herb and parmesan dressing the gnocchi would have been in. I opted for the later. It looked good when it arrived and was set down in front of me. Unfortunately it didn't taste so good. It was bland. I would go as far as to say that it was one of the most disappointing, tasteless pasta dishes I have ever had in my entire life. I ate half and left half. In hindsight I should have complained and sent it back to the kitchen - I wish now I had done so. The restaurant itself had zero atmosphere and we were the only diners there. In fairness it was early (6pm), however other restaurants I passed on the way to 21 Social had more people inside and looked livelier. Our female waitress was nice so I can't fault the staff or service and this is the only reason they are getting one star from me. I will not be returning to 21 Social. I was dissatisfied by the extremely limited Vegetarian options (I'm not even sure the meal I had was Vegetarian as Parmesan isn't always Vegetarian), dishes not available as they had run out of ingredients and flavourless, tasteless food. My two friends liked their meals but my personal experience of 21 Social was a big let-down.

The style of the place is to a pharmaceutical theme, for example, the drink menu is called 'Potions and Elixirs' - the reason for this, is that the establishment is named after a well known Pharmacist, who operated in Ballyhackamore many years ago, named, Horatio Todd! The menu is not overly big, but well thought out. I absolutely love the chicken wings from their light bits menu. From Sunday - Thursday they offer 2 courses and a glass of wine for £14.95 which is a good deal. Their soups of the day have always been great too.
