Okay, I am generally not the person to give a negative review but I think this is important. First, I will say my husband and I ordered this as a delivery through Yelp! and DoorDash. So it took a minute to get our food. I ordered a steak medium rare with sautéed veggies and mashed potatoes. My husband ordered the salmon entree with sautéed veggies. He really enjoyed his meal. He compared the fish entree to one he ate in Key West. My steak and potatoes were very underwhelming for the price. This was one of the toughest steaks I have ever tried to eat. It's like the top half of the steak was almost tender but the bottom part was like I was trying to chew through a shoe. This could be a butcher/prep issue since the flat iron steak is made by removing the more tender portion of the meat from the thick, connective tissue. The potatoes had potential but there was just something I didn't like about them. I hope this experience would have been better in person. I feel like it all has potential but some adjustments may need to be made. read more

My husband and I dined at GPOM and had such a wonderful experience. I am terribly sorry to the amazing waitress who was a fantastic wine connoisseur and other waitress who loves Twilight that I did not get your names. The service we received was outstanding. They were extremely accommodating and were wonderful to chat with. We went all in for dinner and started with the lamb meatballs and sweet potato chips. FYI they have bogo starters on Thursdays! The meatballs were amazing and so was the taziki. The chips were addicting. As our entrees we both had steak. I had the strip and my hubby had the Ribeye. Both were very generous portions and just so good. I tried the wine flight to go along with my meal and everything I was recommended was so good. GPOM we love you and your amazing staff. We just got back from our second visit to Franklin. We have enjoyed Gracious Plates several times and last evening was no exception. The Gracious Sampler had a variety of veggies, truffle cheese fondu, awesome hummus, tepanade and bruschetta. The sampler and shrimp wraps made a great meal. I along with my 5 family members all consider ourselves "foodies" with pretty high food standards. We were blown away by every dish here - so much so that we came back again the next day. Their chef absolutely knows what she's doing with the ever changing specials and unique dishes that you can't find just anywhere. Not to mention the service is super fast even when they're slammed, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. The tuna & scallops both cost $12 and were very generous portions. We had a great group dinner here! The staff and service was amazing. All of the dishes have great flavor and are fresh. I really like knowing that it's farm to table so you're getting fresh ingredients and protein. We ordered fried green tomatoes that fried crispy and had a nice kick of the slight tart taste of the tomato and the sauce used is a great addition. We also ordered the tomato bruschetta and that was on nice pieces of toasted bread with tomatoes. For my main dish I ordered the sautéed shrimp with andouille sausage that has a side of fried cheese grit with peppers and capers. The flavor is explosively good with peppers and capers plus I don't know how they made that fried grit cake and it still had that moisture of the grits on the inside. I enjoyed everything and my colleagues also loved their meals. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area to check them out. read more

First of all, this was one of the best meals of my life. Seriously. I still can't believe we stumbled upon it. I had called several restaurants trying to find a place where we could bring our pup and offered a covered outdoor patio since it was raining. After an hour of searching and calls, the idea of sitting down for a decent meal with a one yr old Golden wasn't looking too good and I began dreading another trip to Ingles. When we found Gracious Plates online I called to double check the acceptance of a pup and made reservations. The outside table was ready for us when we arrived which caught me off guard. Now, about the food. Let me start with saying every bite was bursting with flavor. I had shrimp and grits. This was not JUST shrimp and grits. It had sausage, capers, peppers and God knows what else. The grit cake melted in your mouth. I've only had shrimp and grits once in New Orleans at a restaurant called Le Petit Grocery. It was fantastic, but this version, here in little Franklin, NC was even better. My partner ordered the pork tenderloin which I stole a bite. Crazy good! Who cooks like this? The mushroom, sesame, soy potsticker appetizer was recommended by our lovely server Kim. Neither of us knew what a potsticker was but if Kim recommended it we were going to get it. Of course, they we're interesting and delicious and we knew after the first bite that we were in a for a real treat when the main course arrived. The outside table was comfy and our pup was quiet and happy. We tried to sit down at a restaurant last week in Asheville and a couple cute dogs weren't happy and scared the dickens out of us and our pup so we never made It to our table because we had to run out. Oh well. Needless to say, pup being comfy was a bonus. We met a lovely couple from the AT who were resting for a couple days. They certainly seemed to enjoy their steaks. Oh, we each had a beer but the craft cocktails looked amazing. Next time I'll order one of those. We live in Fl, but have a home in Whittier so there will be many next times with this little gem. We visited with friends tonight as Gracious Plates had a "soft opening." We arrived early (5:15) for dinner. By the time we left, there was quite a crowd of people waiting outside to be seated. I had the Righteous Rebel Farm Chicken with vegetable of the day, which was broccolini and cauliflower, for $26. Hubby had Meredith's Pork Tenderloin with mashed potatoes and broccolini, for $24. The food was delicious from appetizers (crab fritters and best burrata ever) to entree. Entrees tried by our group were burger, mushroom cheese steak, Ribeye cheesecake and clam chowder. Fondue plate serves fresh veggies, beets, cauliflower & jicama. We ordered the Tellico & Wayah salads, adding salmon & flat iron steak respectively. Both dishes were cooked & served perfectly, the dressings are fresh & delicious additions. We try but can't resist to add the grit cake to the meal, the tastiest & most original side item ever. I visited this wonderful gem of a restaurant while staying in Franklin for a few days. We were seated in a large booth. Our server, Shelby, was fantastic. She intuited every single need and was very kind with the two kids at the table. Example, her tone with the two young girls was playful. And at one point, I had run out of soda in my glass and as I set it down from my last sip, Shelby brought a brand new glass without saying a word. It was 5 star service. Give that girl a raise!! I ordered the buttered salmon. No lies, it was the second best fish of my life, and it was a close second. The best fish I've ever had was on an Alaskan cruise so of course it's at the top of the list. When the fish are cooked so shortly after being caught the taste is immaculate. The fish here was no exception. The chef just made it even better with the buttering process and how they are cooked. There wasn't necessarily anything special about the ambiance but that didn't really matter much to me because I was there for the food and the company more than anything.
