What a treat coming back to visit family, renting and Airbnb just a few homes over from this gem. We are from SoCal, or for easier location - San Diego, California where stores like this are in abundance, everywhere, from small mom-pop shops like Cream of the crop in Oceanside, CA to Frazier farms or Lazy Acres for bigger chain. Yonger is a rare shop, in my humble opinion, for east coast since healthy choices both in markets and eateries are like trying to find a needle in a haystack so my heart happy knowing this exists here not far from where we stayed at just minutes from our children's maternal great-grandparents home. So many wonderful options and staff was friendly from the time we walked in to the moment of checkout. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who's looking for more sustainable items or at least a healthier choice here and there. read more

Holy Delish! Bring your appetite folks! There's not one bad bite to be had from my experience at this restaurant. I visited for a late breakfast with some friends post workout. I earned my calories and had every intention of digesting them. Erica was our server and she was in training. I only knew of this because her mentor shadowed her from time to time. She did a great job providing meal recommendations and appeared to be extremely knowledgeable of the menu. Two out of three us started with coffee and the other friend stuck with H20. All of us had a bowl and two of us enjoyed the Carlton. In addition to our main entrees, we shared an order of the pumpkin French toast. The Carlton bowl consists of: a scrumptious biscuit, eggs, bacon or sausage and grits. I opted for bacon and my eggs were prepared scrambled and well done. This bowl is hearty and warms the heart on a hungry morning. The French toast was equally as tasty and prepared to my liking, you know when you can see and taste the egg on the exterior of the bread. YUMMY! The presentation as well as the able decor was well done and I failed to mention an important tidbit; this restaurant serves organic food. In lieu of a check being placed on the table, patrons visit the cashier post meal to settle their tab. Finally, this establishment has a gender friendly restroom. Privately owned with very pleasant staff, it is a farm to table establishment and everything tastes great! They have limited hours, which, I think helps them keep their high standards and quality. Yonder is a little slice of Asheville tucked away in Franklin. It's kind of out of the way from things in a more industrial side of town. Very cute inside. Service was friendly and they kept coffee full. I got a bacon egg and cheese on sourdough. The food takes a really long time. I was there 7:30 am on a Sunday and it still took about 20+ minutes for my food. The sandwich was just really OK and for the price was highly disappointing. The bread is huge and then they just give you a little bit of egg. You basically feel like you're eating bread. I don't think the bread was even toasted. Very little egg, such little amounts of cheese that you couldn't taste it. The bacon was yummy and high quality though they don't give you much. For this price, I have had a lot better. Stumbled on Yonder based on a recommendation from local staff at the Carolina Motel. All items are made to order. I wish I had found this wonderful place back before the pandemic struck. I didn't get a chance to dine in the restaurant; my only experience with Yonder has been as a Farmer's Market. I've met Hannah (one of the owners) as she's been the one who's delivered the market goods to my car. Her delivery system she and her husband set up for serving the community is excellent, efficient and accurate! I've had the pleasure of chatting with her briefly when she was loading the items into my hatchback and she's such a kind soul. I give Hannah and Alan high praise for thinking proactively and fluidly to seemingly effortlessly switch their entire business model from dine-in restaurant to online ordering for a digital farmer's market. I'm just amazed at how these folks have solved a problem. The really great thing is that they have obviously developed key relationships with local farmers and they are helping so many more people than just themselves. They are helping local farmers by continuing to buy from them, they are able to provide for themselves and their staff, and they are able to keep things current with their lease. That's pretty amazing! I give them kudos and the love and care for providing Franklin farm to table fresh food that underpinned their venture still thrives with this new business model. I will continue to support these awesome people for as long as they continue to have the farmer's market! I hope that, eventually, when they reopen their restaurant, they still maintain the market as a side venture - similar to Market Fresh in Highlands. With regards to the produce, dairy, meat and bread Yonder has been offering the community - IT'S AMAZING! I will gladly give Yonder as much of my business as possible for the items they sell over Ingles every day! Yonder is a charmingly eclectic eatery in a convenient location. The food is very good, though a bit pricey, in true farm-to-table fashion. We ordered the "Pimp" which is a pimento sandwich, to share. The server suggested we add greens because it is a hearty sandwich. Also ordered a biscuit but they were out. The plate arrived with only a sandwich, no garnish of any kind. The greens amounted to about a tablespoon and were on the sandwich. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed the dish and did not go away hungry. We were though a bit shocked when we were charged $4.50 for the tablespoon of greens. read more
