We visited Yonder on a trip to Franklin back in the fall. First impressions: this is a really cute location, but somewhat small. However, because we came at a time slightly off their busiest times, we were seated quickly. Every single thing we ate was good. This is now my adult daughter's favorite place; she can't wait to go back! So, we will definitely be back Yonder!

5 Stars - 5 Stars - 5 Stars Breakfast is what you order here, no matter what time of day you come in. First the grits, they are sweet, creamy and crunchy, yes, a bit crunchy. They are sourced from South Carolina (Anson Mills) & made with a special kind of corn that is then coarsely ground. Second, the biscuits, homemade and served with butter, honey or choice of many jams or jellies. Good conversations with the staff add to the experience.

Holy Delish! Bring your appetite folks! There's not one bad bite to be had from my experience at this restaurant. I visited for a late breakfast with some friends post workout. I earned my calories and had every intention of digesting them. Erica was our server and she was in training. I only knew of this because her mentor shadowed her from time to time. She did a great job providing meal recommendations and appeared to be extremely knowledgeable of the menu. Two out of three us started with coffee and the other friend stuck with H20. All of us had a bowl and two of us enjoyed the Carlton. In addition to our main entrees, we shared an order of the pumpkin French toast. The Carlton bowl consists of: a scrumptious biscuit, eggs, bacon or sausage and grits. I opted for bacon and my eggs were prepared scrambled and well done. This bowl is hearty and warms the heart on a hungry morning. The French toast was equally as tasty and prepared to my liking, you know when you can see and taste the egg on the exterior of the bread. YUMMY! The presentation as well as the able decor was well done and I failed to mention an important tidbit; this restaurant serves organic food. In lieu of a check being placed on the table, patrons visit the cashier post meal to settle their tab. Finally, this establishment has a gender friendly restroom. I highly recommend you visit Yonder if you find yourself in Franklin, NC or anywhere in the vicinity for that matter. Your taste buds will thank you.

This is my new favorite breakfast and brunch spot in the Nantahala region. Amazing homespun atmosphere, attentive and genuinely friendly service, and the food...the food is out of this world! I'll elaborate more later...still eating. And the mimosa is so good!

Yonder Market is small family-owned business that ROCKS! What great offerings from western NC and beyond! We bought about 15 jars of homemade Tomato Jam made in Waynesville as gifts. I also bought a mini espresso chocolate bar from Brooklyn NY. SERIOUSLY, if you are just shopping for groceries in Franklin NC or looking for a food gift from the mountains, this is your place!

I've never had steak and eggs this amazing! Every single aspect was beyond perfect!

Organic, locally sourced food promises perfection every time! I travel a lot, one of my favorite things to do when on the road is experience unique culinary mastery. Needless to say I was BEYOND elated when Yonder opened in my own town! Initially I was hopeful (at best) but after the first meal I knew this was definitely the place for me! I've been a regular at this establishment since the first week they've been open (sometimes many days a week!), every single meal has been consistently PERFECT! If you love great food, local organic food AND you're hungry, you're guaranteed to leave Yonder satisfied... It's not fast food, it's REAL food!

Great unique place for breakfast in the mountains of NC! Don't miss out by going to a chain restaurant down the street. You can tell they care about food. And it shows in every bite :)

This review is to clarify, this old piece of menu scrap was served partially imbedded into the grits on the plate of food and the photo shows where it became soaked along the side and corner. The original review was 3 Years ago and it said scraps, but it may have just been this one scrap that was touching the grits. I apologize for any confusion I caused.

Yonder is consistently excellent. It's unusual to have such a consistently good experience anywhere, let alone in a small rural town. I've eaten here regularly since they opened several years ago and the food is always delightful & well prepared - with attention to presentation. Staff always very warm and welcoming. It's a tiny venue, but worth the wait.

Yum! Every last bit was delicious: old-fashioned grits, thick smoked bacon, homemade pickled onions. I didn't take a picture before we ate, but when we were done, we noticed these cute little cards on our plates :)

One of THE best breakfasts I have ever had the pleasure of having. From the time you come in until the time you leave, the experience is great. Privately owned with very pleasant staff, it is a farm to table establishment and everything tastes great! They have limited hours, which, I think helps them keep their high standards and quality. The prices are a tad higher than some greasy spoon, but well, well worth it. We can't wait to go back and try something different on the menu!

The best breakfast I have had in a long time.
    Roscoe P.

Hannah and Alan have started a great thing here. We ordered the grits bowl and steak and eggs. The steak was super fresh and delicious. The eggs just came in from the farm this morning. The grits bowl was also delicious especially with the fresh greens in it. And please don't let me forget the BlackBerry butter on the fresh homemade biscuit, it was amazing! This is no cheap breakfast, but the quality and craftsmanship is well worth it.

If you are looking for non chain farm to table goodness... this is the place for you! We've been wanting to try this place since we saw it on Wandernorthgeorgias Instagram post! It's delicious and you don't leave with that heavy ate to much feeling! We will be back! Now if Baldwin/Cornelia, Ga would get some places like this we wouldn't have to travel so far for good eats!! Pumpkin French Toast with REAL maple syrup

They even had a lot of very nice selections of vegan friendly convenience foods. I did purchase the non dairy whipped cream, 2 different vegan ready burgers and a bag of vegan meatballs. I would like to see a brand of non dairy yogurt as I didn't see any, but maybe there was. The lines were going fairly smoothly and I had all my groceries separated already in their reusable grocery bags ( which as a grand opening gift, you receive 2). The cashier was very apprehensive that I had just placed the bags full on the conveyor belt instead of dumping all the items. I always have an extra bag empty and ready to begin the bagging process on the end but she was anxious. I thought it went well and she did a good job but she asked me to next time take all the items out and place them on the conveyor belt! Honestly, I am hoping the store video will show her how smoothly that went because at a bag it yourself grocery and even a regular grocery store it goes so much smoother. That's my only concern. Great store, good prices and good service. Maybe add 2-3 lanes of checkers for those of us who bulk shop and live a distance away. As I am thinking about the shopping cart, you need a quarter to activate it. And there are many self checkouts as opposed to the one checker. Guessing they really would prefer small amounts to be purchased and not large orders.

Anyway when I went to pick it up, the man who helped me was extremely pleasant. He was the one who cut up the side and packaged it per my request. I mentioned these things to him. There were packages of beef suet and marrow bones in the cooler. He gave them to me. Very nice! I just didn't understand why those weren't automatically included, along with the other things that I paid for. The processor should provide everything asked for. They do NOT have a website. They ARE owned by Ingles yet Ingles makes no mention ANYWHERE on its website that they exist. I went to the Grand Opening and there were management folks all over like at an Ingles opening but to a lesser scale. They promote themselves as a discount store. There is also a chain in the regions called Sav A Lot, and this is not them. There is also a Sav Mor in Alabama and I dont believe this is them either. Northern California has a chain called Sav,Mor Foods and this is not them. This chain uses a dot between Sav and Mor and this chain here in NC SC TN uses a dash -. If you look around the store you can find a few bargains but nothing to get excited about. Opening week had nice Pineapples and Cantaloupe for $1.50 each. Canned vegetables, not a name brand were 39c can. The help in the store is 100% new. NONE of the Ingles help stayed on to work here. The workers will readily tell you yes this is owned by Ingles. You will also see Laura Lynn products throughout the store. The yellow shelf labels are just like Ingles. However you cant scan your Ingles card. They have no such card. They also DONT have bakeries, delis, or you scan. Only regular human checkers. They do have an area of Hispanic/Mexican foods. Whats also different is you will find a few things that a regular Ingles would never carry. One odd one is a flat of No Name No label Cat food in monster cans. Most cat foods I thought were small cans the size of tuna cans or smaller. These are BIG cans. Must be some monster cars around these parts! (photo posted) 12 unmarked cans sealed on a flat for $4.17. Thats less than 35c a can! I dont think it gets any cheaper than that! These can sizes really puzzle me though. I wonder what this stuff is really used for? Another thing you can get here is some of the less fashionable parts of the animal in the meat dept. They had pork tails, pork stomach, pork ears, pork neck bones, pork feet, beef tongue, beef feet, beef tripe. Some people use some of these things for bone broth which is now in fashion for health. They dont have a website so you cant look at a flyer online. In the store they have a small 8 1/2 x 11 sheet with specials at the door. The help was friendly and I wish them success in Franklin.
