DO NOT READ ANY OTHER REVIEWS BEFORE THIS ONE! I'll start by saying this, my family and I almost…read moredidn't come here because of the overall low rating on Yelp. At the time of writing this, it was 3.8 stars, which usually indicates a mediocre restaurant at best. That could not be further from the truth! As a person who is of Neapolitan heritage, this made me feel like I was back at Grandma's. I have eaten at Italian restaurants ranging from South Philly, to New York, to Jersey, and all across the East Coast, and this is amongst the best! Don't listen to these other reviews who are either from 3+ years ago, or obviously have zero knowledge on true Italian cuisine! The gentleman who we had the pleasure to have as our waiter was outstanding. He had the perfect amount of professionalism, and comedic banter to make us feel like we were right at home. On top of that, our drinks were always filled, and the delivery of our food was perfectly timed, never feeling rushed to order or finish our appetizers. Switching to our food, we ordered the Fried Calamari, Mushrooms, and Zucchini, each one perfectly fried, and tasted delicious. The addition of salad and rolls could not have been better for the dinner. They have 3 dressings, all made in-house, which are given to you in a self-serving dish. All were spot-on! For the entree, I got the Fettuccine Della Casa, and it was terrific! All the flavors worked perfectly. The chicken was nice and tender, the vegetables were soft, but not mushy, the pasta was a perfect al dente, and the sauce thoroughly combined it all. We walked out with zero complaints, besides the fact that the restaurant is 3+ hours from our house. If you're from out of town(like us) or a local, you need to eat here! I don't ever leave reviews, but I made an exception because of my frustration with the current reviews left on this page, and the fact that in reality it is a top-tier establishment. This will be a guaranteed stop from now on, for anytime we're back in Franklin!

We had enough to share and take home. The desserts were so rich and delicious to light & sweet. The rolls you wanted to face plant into the bowl and get all that goodness. The fried ravioli was the best I've had anywhere. Did not taste like it was frozen and the microwaved. If you are in the area you have to try. Just remember the older folks get there at 5pm and it fills up fast!!! It is dark when you walk in but your eyes eventually adjust.

It is away from from the beaten path of the Smokies and they recommend reservations for dinner. Open at 3pm, I called and he gave us a 6:15 time which worked well on a slower Wednesday. The entrance gives way to a nice bar area with a few TVs, booths and white linen tables. We each settled on a bottle of Sangiovese and Pinot Grigio and the mussels appetizer and bruschetta. Our waiter Andrei was professional and prompt. We decided to have a glass of wine and enjoy conversation and our apps without ordering our entrees and expediting the occasion. Andrei checked back several times and kept our waters full and was very patient. We settled on clams fettuccini with a white wine butter sauce and my lady got the mussels in the same sauce. It was a garlic lover's delight and I'm certain I'll never be a vampire. We enjoyed the setting and the atmosphere was relaxed. A liquid dessert pour of tequila and whiskey settled us and we skipped dessert although it was tempting. Overall the prices were a bit higher but the service was excellent and our meal rang true. It was a great first impression and we had leftovers. It will be added into our rotation and look forward to trying other pastas and seafood.

The Frutti di Mare is phenomenal!!!…read more We happened upon this wonderful location by watching "Adventure is Out There" on YouTube. Totally off the beaten path, and so worth it. Just when you think you're lost, you arrive. The Focaccia bread that is served really good. Suggest getting marina as opposed to olive oil for dipping. The meatball was nice sized (big enough to share) and marinara sauce was really good. The Frutti di Mare was suggested by our waiter Anthony (very knowledgeable about the menu and offerings) to use white wine sauce. It was a great suggestion. The ingredients were obviously fresh and the portion size was easily shareable. We shared a Tiramisu. And let me preface that my wife has never liked this dessert. But the YouTube review swayed her perspective. And she loved it. You can tell that it's a labor to make (we talked to the owner's wife and she concurred). The only negative would be due to personal preference. The Caesar salad dressing didn't have anchovies. It was lemon forward and good, but it's just something that we like.

The restaurant is located on the main street that runs through the town making it easy to find. Be sure to make a reservation as it fills up quickly. The staff we encountered during both visits were friendly and professional. The food was exceptional each visit. The eggplant parmigiana starter was tender and so flavorful. Three of the four of us ordered it on the second visit as it was that good. The beef carpaccio and meatball starter were also enjoyed. For entrees we had the trout Frances, stuffed halibut special, the gnocchi special, the mushroom tortellini and the linguine pescatore. All dishes were delcious while the trout Frances, mushroom tortellini and linguine pescatore were our favorites. It is worth mentioning their gnocchi could not have been better prepared as it was like a fluffy pillow as gnocchi should be. Had it been paired with the truffle sauce from the mushroom tortellini then it would have been perfection. For dessert, we sampled several ice creams, sorbets, the tiramisu and the Blueberry Coconut Layered cake. The raspberry sorbet and cappuccino Oreo gelato were the fan favorites for the dessert course. Ristorante Paoletti receives our highest recommendation as it is on point with offering a positive atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food.

Four of us grabbed spots at the bar, ordered Aperol Spritzes, and immediately settled in. We shared the salad and the veggie pizza, and on our waitress's advice added pepperoni--and wow, was that the right move. This pizza is the real deal: incredible color, a perfectly crisp, crunchy crust, and layers of flavor that genuinely blew us away. I make pizza at home (yes, with an Ooni), and this is the kind of pie that makes you pause mid‑bite and say, "Okay... they know what they're doing." Not floppy, not overdone--just expertly made and insanely satisfying. The atmosphere sealed the deal. Sitting at the bar felt fun and communal, with friendly locals, fellow visitors, and staff all contributing to the vibe. It was welcoming, lively, and exactly the energy you want when you first roll into town. Phenomenal pizza, great drinks, and a spot that understands hospitality. Apparently we were very unlucky when it came to bar seating this trip We ordered the burrata to start. It was fresh and absolutely delicious. But our Hot Pig pizza seemed to miss the mark. The sauce that was drizzled on top didn't seem to add anything to the dish. It just kind of fell flat after such a delicious start. We finished off with a bit of gelato which was also super yummy! And the coffee was wonderful but it was served so hot that we had to wait a while before even being able to sip it. Overall it was a good dinner, we just wished we had gone with a different pizza
