Server was friendly and attentive. Gluten free flatbread was delicious along with regular flatbread.

Hopefully tonight was an off night. Service and kitchen was very slow. My husbands dinner came and he ate while it was hot but mine never came. Turns out my meal went to another table that ordered well after me. I understand, mistakes happen. I ended up just canceling my meal and finishing my husband's calzone. We were given a couple of cannolis. Waitress must have been having a n off night as she had attitude.

The pizza is flavorful with perfectly cooked dough - crisp without being too crispy, but soft enough! The alfredo spinach and mushroom pizza slices I had were gigantic, and delicious! We had the 2-slices and a soda deal which was a great buy for lunch. My oldest daughter had a calzone, and spent the entire day we were vacationing talking about her leftovers. Fabulous flavors and delicious food. For some reason, Yelp places this restaurant behind the "East Sylva" plaza, but it is not there. It is actually in the plaza by Dollar General. If you're nearby, treat yourself!

Ordered Ferrara's for our first night back in Sylva and we were very impressed. We called in a large 16' Meat Pizza around 8PM on Friday night and were able to pick pretty quickly after placing the order. Once the pizza got here we dug in and wow it was so good. It was loaded with all the best meats and really lived up to it's name as a Meat Pizza. Now I am giving Ferrara 5 stars because it tasted great to me but you might have to take this review with a grain of salt. By the time this pizza got here I was a few drinks in and starving from being on the road all day. So I might not have been the best judgement that night but again like I said the pizza tasted great to me and will for sure be back.

Pizza is fine but the lack of communication shows. Someone needs to take some charge in there.

The waitress was apologetic for the delay, it wasn't her fault, not sure what was going on in the kitchen, but many customers were upset about the slow meal preparation. Update!!! Now known as Speedy's Pizza and Pub. Things are 100% better. The food, pizza, was delicious and hot. We had the daily special, two slices of pizza and a drink for $10. The manager took care of us and we were very happy with everything. There was a good number of patrons and the restaurant was clean and the seating was comfortable.

We could walk here if we wanted and we are big fans of that. We came in when they had first opened so they were still figuring things out which I completely understand plus the hurricane coming through recently did help either. Looking over the menu they have a lot of your typical bar/pub options but a few you don't always find too. Looking for the drinks I was able to find my classic for Sylva but with a new name this time. At the Junction Pub it goes by the Loose Caboose which is a shot (for me Whiskey of course) and a beer which I picked Busch Light. You can't beat it. Our waitress brought our drinks and we ordered. I ended up going with the wings (12) tossed in Honey Sriracha. Our food came out pretty quickly which was nice. The sauce for the wings was good. Spicy with a nice sweetness but not overly sweet which can sometimes happen. For sure still had the kick I wanted. The wings for the most part were good. Cooked perfectly and nice and crispy. I will say I few of them were on the smaller side but you also got some monsters too to even it out. The service was excellent, and our waitress was extremely friendly and help us with questions throughout our meal. For sure a nice local pub we will be coming to often.

I've heard from so many people that it's beautiful inside the restaurant. But, I must say, the food here is worth the wait which is not long. The food is always fantastic. One side is for pickup the other is the side down restaurant. Since we were dining in we ended up at the Quirky Bird side. They have and out door patio and a picnic table or 2. We ended up at the picnic table since we had our dogs with us. We order drinks I had a Coors. I also noticed when I went inside they had a full bar with a decent amount of bourbon. Was surprised to see Weller 12 there for such a small place. They had a couple sandwiches which I was interested in but went with the Winner! Winner! Chicken Dinner! which is breaded chicken, Munster Cheese, avocado, arugula, Blueberry Compote, on a Ciabatta Bun. I will say the service was a bit slow with drink refills and getting us out our food. Though we understood because the train had arrived at the time we were there and there was a lot going on at the take out side and were where at the furthest table away. I will say when our food came out it was pretty good. My chicken sandwich was was lightly breaded and the Blueberry Compote really brought everything together. We even got take out from here later this week and the Chicken Casserole Wrap was also good.

South of Philly is an outstanding lunch and dinner spot if you're craving quality sandwiches and…read moreflavorful wings. When we first walked in, the first thing I noticed was that it wasn't very crowded. Sometimes that can be a red flag--but in this case, it turned out to be a hidden advantage. The food came out fast, fresh, and piping hot. From the first bite, I knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere has more of an old-school, no-frills vibe. It's not flashy or over-the-top, which actually made the experience better. I walked in with neutral expectations--not expecting anything extraordinary, but not expecting anything bad either. What I got completely exceeded that middle-ground mindset. Their menu offers a wide variety of options, but I went with something classic and comforting: a Philly cheesesteak (no mushrooms), upgraded with Cheese Whiz, along with sweet chili chicken wings and a side of onion rings. Let's start with the wings. The sweet chili sauce was perfectly balanced--just the right touch of heat paired with a subtle sweetness. Even fully sauced, the wings maintained their crispiness, which is not easy to do. If I had to critique anything, I'd say the blue cheese could be upgraded--but that's a minor note in what was otherwise a near-perfect execution. The Philly cheesesteak was equally impressive. The bread was soft yet sturdy, packed generously with meat, cheese, and vegetables from edge to edge. Every bite was balanced and satisfying. The onion rings were exactly how I like them--thin, crispy, well-seasoned, and fried to a perfect golden crunch. Everything from the food to the drinks, the atmosphere, and the customer service was on point. The only thing I passed on was dessert. The cookies didn't look as fresh as I would've liked, so I decided to skip it this time. That said, it didn't take away from an otherwise top-tier experience. Whether you're looking for a dine-in lunch, dinner, takeout, or delivery, South of Philly absolutely delivers. I genuinely don't think this place gets the attention it deserves. It's a hidden gem, and I will definitely be back to explore more of the menu. If the staff has recommendations next time, I'm all in--I'll be there to try them. Highly recommended.

It normally comes with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and special sauce. I didn't want a mayonnaise based sauce....trying to cut some calories since I'm already having a deep fried sandwich! My only gripe is that when I get a sandwich at a restaurant, I expect some type of side dish. It could be a small amount of fries or some potato chips but something.
